Everyone seems to have disappeared so here's one to spice things up ...

Taken yesterday (17th Jan 09) evening at Chinatown.

Heys i'm still here, i pseudo-disappeared because i been busy with my school project to do my usual shooting. This a busy period of time, a new year just started and CNY is arriving :) Apart from the background buildings slanted and noises on the red rooftops, great shot dude! Hey i find that when i use a hand to cover the lower portion of the picture where the brightest star is, the picture becomes more pleasing to me as my eyes can now take in the tall scrappers together with the little points of stars in the distance seamlessly :) How was the CNY atmosphere when you went that night? Happy New Year to you and thanks for sharing your shot :)

Haha Peter, this shot idea was inspired by one that won a competition in a magazine, was it not?

Er ... nope. Was from another alpha photographer's shot actually, only I did it differently by adding on a cross filter when attempting the shot. Never did plan on heading down to Chinatown initially, but I just realized in all my 29 years of life (minus the years which I probably won't know how to handle a camera or what a camera is to begin with), I've never really captured the festivity mood of CNY in Singapore. So in the end, I dragged myself out and was pretty pleased with my takes for the evening.

Thanks for your feedback :) I left the distortion as it is cos I didn't really wanna make it a "line-perfect" photo. Sometimes it is good to break away I feel. In response to the noise, similarly, it need not be a bad thing as well. CNY atmosphere was fantastic, lotsa people, can actually feel the mood, tho knowing not many people are really buying stuff.
