Could I seek some clarification about the International Warranty?

Easiest to understand if I use an example: say I buy a Sony lens whilst I'm traveling in the US and I bring it back to Singapore where I live. The shop in the US gives me an international warranty. I drop my lens and it now needs repair:

Scenario 1: I bring my lens to the Sony Service Centre in Singapore and they honour my warranty (best case)

Scenario 2: I bring my lens to Sony in Singapore and they tell me I need to post my lens back to Sony in the US to get it repaired (ie the warranty is honoured, but only in the US)

Scenario 3: I bring my lens to Sony in Singapore and they tell me that the Sony International Service centre is in, say, France and I need to post my lens there (warranty honoured, but only in certain overseas locations).

Scenario 4: I haven't flown back to Singapore yet and I'm still in the US, so I bring it to Sony in the US. They tell me that, since it is an international warranty, it is not valid in the US and I need to bring my lens back home to Singapore to get it repaired (warranty honoured everywhere, except the US).

I've encounter all the above scenarios before on items I have bought with an international warranty. Which scenario best matches the international warranty on the lenses that you are able to help us get.

I'm really keen on getting some lenses from you, especially given the great prices that you are offering, hence this request for clarification. Hope you don't mind.
