Hi there, sharing some photos I've taken of Aline some time ago. :)

Photos are quite big, so they'd take some time to load. Hope you'd like them! :D

Hi bearbear90,

Glad that you liked it! :D

Hey Jeff,

Thanks... and yes... there are excursion buses rumbling past us - scary stuff, but the road's clear most of the time. *whew*

Location: The Central Mall. :)

Hi bro soulexpress,

Thanks a zillion bro! Paiseh - coz after joining for so long, I almost forgot about the forum, though I remembered to post stuff here eventually - coz nowadays I'm more focused about photography I guess... ^_^

Just opted for a Fine Arts Photography major. So here, I'm just sharing a bit of my stuff on JWP forums... hopefully, get and get people interested to shoot people hehe, and have more exposure both ways I guess! :)

Oh... ahem ahem poison ppl time... :D the top two are taken with... 70-200 G F2.8 :P :ph43r:

So it's in the center of the city.
What kind of lightning do you use ? Do you open photography umbrella in the middle of the road ?

Hi Issac,

I've attended a group shoot, and this model is brought in by a guy called Ivan See. :D

Well, not all models are "hired", some of them - (will show u guys photos later) work with me on a Portfolio (TFCD) basis. :)

I guess, joining photoshoots with good looking, exotic models does help me along in a way. ^_^

Hi Jeff,

Well, while this one is a group shoot with 6 other photographers firing away. I'm pretty much left alone to help myself with the lights and such.

To pull this one off, I'm holding a 300 watt strobe in my left hand, then shooting with my right hand.

Lucky, I've got a bit of stature, so my hands are long enough to do it...

Haha, this one I paid her. :)

But got others we worked on Agreement... she provide modeling services, I provide photography, along with a MUA, and helper, who each provided their own services. :)

Not good enough to demand payment for Portfolio shoots. :) Got other Masters out there, bro shadow's one of them.

Here are more shots of Aline, but these are special... It's Film!

Shot with the Minolta 3xi Borrowed from Willis (a friend) on Kodak Portra ISO 160 film... :D

Nothing done except for some sharpening after down size. Well, technically they are just about that, I'm not too technically competent, so bear with me yeah? ;)

Lenses used are the 28-70 G and 17-35 D. :)

Notice that the Bright sunlight lit area behind the model is not blown... :jaw-drop: It'd surely be "gone case" with Digital.

I like her expression. She looks like a pro model
and the photo is taken by a pro photographer !

Hmm I see flare at picture number 5 ?

Jupiter - March 26, 2009 03:06 AM (GMT)
swee ah....no wonder you are master! :D

Isaac - March 26, 2009 12:47 PM (GMT)
Photos are great! But the model looks a bit stiff in the first three photos, or is it just me? :o

bearbear: Unless you're a rich man, you should never buy 1st hand gear because it's a huge waste of money!

Just buy 2nd or 3rd hand gear from Clubsnap.com or any other sites. As long as you maintain them properly and keep them in a drybox, you won't have use for a warranty at all!

If I'm not wrong, a 70-200G F2.8 on Clubsnap is only around $1000 to $1500?

bearbear90 - March 26, 2009 01:01 PM (GMT)
thanks for the tip Isaac... =)

hmm... cant really put a finger to the photos for film / digital , need to look at more comparison between them to compare...

dont quite find the model stiff.. maybe its the facial expression (correct me if I'm wrong)

thanks for sharing !! :)

She's an agency model... though the photographer is not a pro... a Pro photographer is one who takes photos in order to pay his bills. :) I'm a student that is.

Yes, that's a flare... Good old flare, works with some, doesn't work with some, it's preference really, I like the imperfect - look granted by old, flare prone lenses, whilst others like the immaculate sharpness and precision of modern lenses. It all boils down to taste. :)

Ah... well, It's acceptable to me I feel, but that's me. :)

Well, stiff could be hip or not in different peoples' eyes though. :) you know, some model jammed up against a wall and contorted with funky lighting that's all weird - can be called avant garde by some, but viewed as totally uncomfortable by others... It's tough really, photography is like politics, can't please everyone... ;)

Oh and... whoa, if there's a $1500 70-200G lens, let me know, I'd buy a second one! :D

Ah, that's the "Stoned" expression common in Haute Couture mags, if you flip through a magazine, you'd understand what I mean...

and... thanks! :D
