Night shoot at Wisma and Clarke Quay?

I've been to both locations with my gear before but I could never find anything interesting to shoot at both places..

I look forward to seeing what you guys shoot there. :D

the one on friday night, tomorrow will be more on the theory lesson.. doubt we will be shooting until saturday.. hopefully can post some of the pictures for comments and improvement~* ;)

I know a gorgeous location for a nightshoot if you are interested.. It's along any of the bridges located in the Braddell Hill area(near Mt. Alvernia Hospital).

I shot this there:

seems like the traffic is heavier on the right... will try out with low shutter speed to achieve the similar shots... ;)

That's not exactly true!

Well if you haven't noticed, a car's taillights are a little dimmer than the headlights! The traffic on both sides of the road were actually more or less equal, it's just that the traffic on the left was heading away from where I was, resulting in me only managing to capture the taillights. :)

So in order to get brighter taillights, it's a good idea to make a HDR image. ;)

I don't know when I will be going back to Braddell Hill again with my gear so it might be quite some time before you guys actually get to see a HDR shot in this composition.. :lol:

yupz.. just back from the evening lecture by kenneth... after the theory lesson just now, went to wheelock to take some photos..
shall upload it to the other post tomorrow morning.. kinda tired..
the lesson is not bad, small class of 11 people...
learnt to use Aperture piority for night shots...
learnt a lot from kenneth tonight.. tml will be the pratical session at clarke quay where its Earth Hour... B)
cant wait to try the other lenses that he is bringing along 'poison time' haha....

I usually use shutter priority with slow shutter only :D

I use manual for more versatility :D

had a great time and was poisoned by Kenneth after trying out the 50mm F1.4 prime lens after shooting the night landscapes... the shutter speed while using the lens was super fast when placed at F1.4 and it gives a nice blurry effect at the background... guess the trick is to frame the shots well and to have a good focus at the foreground... :)
time to save like a squirrel... haha... :P

At the posb bank ? they use to have this cute squirrel that is their mascot... but not sure now still have ? ^_^

Well, they can mummification the poor squirrel, but ...
So scarry to imagine that :unsure:
