Title: Emphasis

I know I've posted this shot before, but this time I've done some photoshopping to further bring out the main subject in the shot.

Let me know what you think.

I like the effect however I'm not too sure what the photo is selling here. The model's outfit or the model's shoes ?

If the outfit, then the shoes are a distraction

If the shoes, then it is not clearly emphasized

Just food for thoughts :)

Hi Issac,

Actually, the effect is helpful - though there's something about the shoe I'd like to bring up:

There isn't too great a difference between the colour tones of the shoe and that of the brick wall - and indeed, without the straps helping to define the form of the shoe, the shoe itself almost disappears, like the way it did for the lower left part of the lower image.

Shifu peter's asked a great question there though it's good to ponder about...

And also I think you may want to start pushing the envelope - now that you know these tricks... you know, try something harder, like... "Extending the Wall"...

Hmm.. never thought about the colors clashing. That's an excellent point you've brought up. I may have to tweak the exposure a little bit more it seems..!

As for the wall extending.. I guess I'm going to have to use the vanishing point function..
