Title: Sunset At Compassvale

People often say sunset after a heavy downpour is always the most beautiful and indeed that is so true. Singapore was caught with a super heavy downpour in the wee hours this morning and was scorching hot over noon. Got back home after dinner with Johnston and I noticed a ray of red glow coming from the staircase near my house. Here's what I saw ...

The skies are really awesome these days. I love your photos, loved the skies... if you ask me, this season is a good time for outdoor photography! :D

not quite a fan with egg yolks but i love sunsets...
like the contrast of the blue sky with the color tones to blend in beautifully in the 2nd picture... ^_^

Nice awesome colours. I love sunsets too. Sometimes they are really awesome & changes very fast.
I have now the habit of looking out of my verandah in Jurong West, looking for that opportunity.
I got up the same nite at 3am, hoping to try getting some practice of lightning shots but no luck. So went back to zzzzzzz. :rolleyes:

Robert - Thanks for the compliments ! I've been chasing lightning myself for a long time, still chasing ... :ph43r: For sunsets/sunrises, the window of opportunity is indeed short, so if you're heading out specifically to capture just that, do plan properly. Remember also, after shower Sunsets are often the most breathtaking, that means if it doesn't rain tomorrow, you might just be in luck.
