Macro of a normal flower down the park at my house... ;)

hmm.. i prefer the #2 flower...
the first one dont think the white background will tell much of the subject if the topic of the flower wasn't given. think the focus on the second is much better esp over the leaves... just my thoughts.

Thk you how abt a rating how much would u give over 10... Pls take note: i've cropped out extra parts of leaves that r distracting...

Hi Doug! I agree with Benny photo 2 is better and that is because photo 1 looks 2-dimensional while photo 2 looks 3-dimensional. Photo 2 also has better contrast of flower against background
Nice attempt! Keep going, macro is lots of fun! The flower's name is heliconia.

Haha do try various other angles as well, you might surprise yourself. Also try shooting flower in numbers, alone, after a wet weather, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening. Try these few out first, treat them like an assignment.
