Is anyone from JWP going for the Formula Drift Singapore?

Is it worthwhile going for photo shoot??

Well it's certainly worth the trip if you've never been to such an event before. Just be sure to go early to scout the place for a good shooting spot and also be ready for a good tan by the end of the day. Bring lotsa water, umbrella and sunblock if you desire. Best to go in pairs minimum, so that you can both take turns to take a break when necessary, without giving up your "golden location".

Lens wise, anything from 100 - 300 is useful. Anything under that range may be tough for good close-up shots unless you get a good location that's close enough. But frankly, that's quite tough. On the other hand, I'm not saying that wider lenses are not appropriate. Ultimately, it all depends on the type of shots you wanna capture. It's really a great opportunity to practice your panning skills.

Importantly, enjoy the sun, the crowd, the race and especially the noise !!!

Like what Peter said, go in pair, "chop" the golden spot for each other...u need to beat the crowd...
You'll be standing under the hot sun (no shelter), so be armed with: Water, sun block, hat/cap, tissue/towel....
