One tip for shooting at events - be there early if possible to recce the place for a good spot. Visualize what may happen and you'd be able to find your answers :)

Hmmm... ok will try agn next yr... Probably when u go u "jio" me go... :lol: But regarding the fence it cannot be helped can it?? :unsure:

Hi Doug, hope u've your F1 outing & shooting :)
Of course we can't do anything abt the fence... however, do time your shots to capture the cars in-between the 2 main poles. But if u are sitting quite far away from the fencing, then there's no different as u'll capture those main poles when u pan your shots...
I do hv my fair shares of images of those poles in the end/middle/front part of the racing cars. So shooting as many images as possible is probably the thing I would do in this kind of shooting situation, as what I've done on Fri.

Doug, think Jeffrey pretty much answered ur questions with regards to the irritating fences. Really can't be helped but framing well does help isolate your shots from disturbances. In addition, be creative with lighting and exposure ... :)
