Title: First Screening In Greece
Description: Details about the first local screening.

misterknow - September 7, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
Hi guys, I'm proud to announce you that Sunday 10 and Monday 11 of September 2006, I managed to setup 3 free screenings on a multiplex cinema here in Crete, GREECE.

Here is the poster (the official LC2E poster with greek words that announce where, when etc.)

user posted image

Sunday, September 10 @ 15:30 local time will be screening at a 800 seats room of Texnopolis multiplex cinema here in Heraklion.
Monday, September 11 @ 15:30 & 22:30 local time will be screening at a 800 seats room of Texnopolis at noon and at an open air cinema that is out of the main building with the ability to smoke and drink for the visitors.

I'll copy about 100 DVDs and will spread them after each screening to companies that will share too with friends and families.

I managed alone to setup this event, city of Heraklion has 250.000 citizens, and I'll make sure that at least 1/10 of them will let know when and where this will happen. Will be put on newspaper, will be posters on the walls downtown and on some crowdy places and bars/cafes.

So wish me luck and that everything will go OK.

I'll take photos before/during/after each screening and I'll make a gallery to share with you.

PS: I've made Greek subtitles and DVD Authoring with menu/chapters etc. If you want I can ship a copy somewhere to "Louder than words" productions and you can be able to share with greeks that live in the US (in case they want greek subs) or to be able to send to Greece. Let me know.

PS2: I've also made announcement on my Blog here: Point.of.view

Greetings from Greece.

Hi again all, screenings went OK. Not so crowdy (as I expected) but with quality viewers.
I gave out 100 DVDs to couples/companies that came and most of them as I know will spread the info to others....

After some talk with the multiplex cinema owner, he promised me during the winter that is coming here in Greece, that once in a month will do weekend screennings, of course free of charge. He owns also 2 other cinemas in the center of town, and maybe there will be the screenings.

I'm happy to know that many people saw the movie, the posters that are still in the walls downtown, and I know the greek visitors in the website will be increased.
Now I'm talking with TV channels.... I'm not optimistic about the result, but worths a try to check their "integrity" :)

Cheers all, will let you know.
