also, "Mommy" has been buried for 18 years, probably longer than you have been alive. [ CENSORED mumble ]

I did not do it "only because you can do so."
I abhor banning people, but sometimes it is neccessary to do so or no intelligent discussion would occur ever. [ think the Jerry Springer show without Jerry or the "bouncers". ]
That was the first thread which I have ever locked.
The only suspensions which I have EVER given were in that thread in question.

I will not lock this thread if you stop beating this dead horse.
This issue is over. Dylan wants no more fights.

BTW, the only way I am leaving is if Dylan himself asks me to leave.
If that happens I will be GLAD to delete my account.
Sometimes I really hate this "job"...... I used to love it in the beginning.

- Just for the record.
I just went through MY logs. Since February I have banned 6 people ( 7 if you count Gypsy ), and suspended 3 NOT counting that attempt at a resolution in that thread. 8 If you DO count that thread.
I have also deleted 9 posts and 2 topics which were designed to incite a riot here.
Out of 3400+ members and 100,000+ posts, is that a bad record ?
Is it worth the "flack" which I am getting?

Or maybe I should unban ThompsonDouDou and his kind so you all can recieve spam in your PM's and email again.
After all I AM cutting off HIS "free speech".

I can understand you to some extent.
But there might have been a more intelligent solution.
Don't these forums support threads in which mod's can decide who specifically may write a post, and also make that thread visible to any registered user?
In that manner, there could have been a thread between you, Data RS, Gypsy and whoever was involved in there, making sure everbody can read it, but exclamating anybody else from writing.
I admit that my only reason to write my post which led to the suspension was to provoke you.

If there is I have not found it yet.
I suppose I could have given them a "custom" status and thread, but I don't believe it would have been a publicly viewable thread then, therefore defeating the purpose.
BTW, sorry if I offended you, I am merely TRYING to do what is best. I am also human and therefore prone to errors.

Actually LondonEye is much more knowledgable than I about about that end of the forum.
Perhaps for the future we can set up a "boxing ring" with referee exclusively for that purpose.
