Title: Movie Night - Group Viewing
Description: Man of the Year

Culling - March 1, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Figured that i should make a seperate thread to stop the idea of having a Movie Night being flooded over in the movie thread.

Anyways, charisma has suggested a movie night.

QUOTE

Yeah, I wanna see it too :D Uhm...so what's everyone doing next tuesday? We could go see it at GC after uni and stuff happy.gif Like, order pizza to the MARS room or something then go. Because my lecture technically finishes at 6.30 so I'll be there anyway.

WHO'S WITH ME?????

Who needs what? and who wants to come

the movie is : Man of the Year
Robbin Williams, comedian who goes for election as a joke, gets elected... not sure of the rest. I think it could be good.

Sorry to the administrators for flooding and making lots of new threads

?dc - March 1, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
sounds good ^^

stawberi - March 1, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Oooh, sounds good. My lect finishes at 6.30 too, I'm in.

joseph - March 1, 2007 05:53 AM (GMT)

Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:00 AM (GMT)
We have people with cars up for it...yay!

Clearly, I'm up for it XD

Culling - March 1, 2007 10:26 AM (GMT)
yep, i have car. i can take 3 people in the seats, 4 if no one minds getting cooties, possibly 5 if the extra doesnt mind being in the boot, 6 if 2 people dont mind being in the boot and are a couple, 7 if i can cut the bodies up, never tried pureeing before but... well, i dont want to do that, i like my car too much.

Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:30 AM (GMT)
Nah, the respawner would be too much trouble to bring along. I guess we'll leave them alive this time.

Culling - March 1, 2007 10:37 AM (GMT)
just a min, no, i worked it out. Icecream tubs!
that would work, or tupperwear.

and then if i froze it i could sell it as a meatsicle, or a fleshpop. Now in student flavor.

its strange, cars often have explanations about how many liters worth of space they have, but when was the last time you held liquid in the back of your car?

Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:41 AM (GMT)
Since I don't have a car, the point is moot. On the other hand, someone else's car...

Never mind.

Negative, I am a meat popsicle?

Culling - March 1, 2007 10:42 AM (GMT)
naw, not unless you get ground up, frozen and then have a small popstick put into the resulting paste.

Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:46 AM (GMT)
No no. I meant in The Fifth Element. the main guy. 'are you human?' 'negative, i am a meat popsicle'

stawberi - March 1, 2007 10:55 AM (GMT)
Depending on the weather, I may need transport from Murdoch to GC. If this is the case, perhaps also a pickup along the way of teh boyfriend in Applecross (not that far).

Culling - March 1, 2007 10:59 AM (GMT)
ahh yes. that makes more sense.
hmm, i have just come to an interesting question. Would it be right for a pastifarian to be ground up to make a pasta sauce?

Anyways, this is moving off topic. For more bloody sauce and fleshsilces, go to the bar, and drink with the guy in the corner.

Anyone else wanting to come/needing a ride ?
the more people we have the more fun it should be. :)

heh, I gots it!

ROFL!! I really liked that line. t'was funny.

Tuesday night is Bible study night. I can't come. Otherwise I would come and bring my car too

Charisma - March 1, 2007 11:09 AM (GMT)
Awww. I'd ask if you'd blow it for one week, but you probably can't. Ah well. I think we've got enough cars at this point, but if there's more people wanting to come we night need to pull some more drivers..hmm...

etimodnar - March 1, 2007 11:16 AM (GMT)
Bible study follows the Uni term as it's aimed at Uni students. We only had the first one for the year Tuesday just passed! Otherwise I might. Also, I'm a youth leader and in the youth leaders Bible Study group, and so it wouldn't be appriciated me missing, even for one week. Unless it were a VERY good reason.

Charisma - March 1, 2007 11:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I figured as much. That's a pity. But mostly the reason why I can never make anything on Fridays unless it's after 7:30 XD

What is the movie about just out of curiosity?

?dc - March 2, 2007 02:07 PM (GMT)
Shamelessly stolen from the internet

"On a lark, the late-night comedian (Williams) decides to run for president. The thing is, he never expected to win."

EDIT :: After reading reviews I'm lead to believe its not much of a comedy but more of a serious film with some funny parts :/

Lady D - March 4, 2007 07:54 AM (GMT)
Not sure I can deal with a comedy that went serious via directors.

stawberi - March 4, 2007 08:03 AM (GMT)
I'm still in, but have a few specific questions.

1) Is the pizza compulsory? :P
2) Who will be able to give transport to me from Murdoch (my lecture finishes at 6.30) to Garden City (with a possible stop in Applecross, pretty please with sugar on top)?
3) What session time are we looking at?
4) Anyone going near my area going home afterwards (Vic Park)?

aido727 - March 4, 2007 08:05 AM (GMT)
give me some exact details! i dont have an reason to be at the campus on tuesday but i am interested in meeting people there

Lady D - March 4, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
I suppose that if i want to go I have to find someone to beg and growl a lift off.
*gives Adian puppy dog eyes*

Culling - March 5, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
anyways, yes sami i can give you a lift back to your place afterwards

as for the pizza, not sure

Charisma - March 5, 2007 08:48 AM (GMT)
Pizza not compulsory, was just a suggestion for a dinner substitute since we'll probably be watching the movie instead of eating at a reasonable hour. No I don't make a habit of eating at 10pm.

Funny that.

Session times as follows:

Man of the Year [M]
11.15am, 1.45pm, 4.15pm, 6.45pm, 9.15pm

So we probably wouldn't have time to eat pizza if we wanted to go to the 6.45 one. We may have to walk out of lectures early if they're looking like going overtime (overtime meaning past 6.20, which is technically when all classes are meant to finish to give you time to get to the next one). Especially us, whose lecture is in the damn Bio Sci LT way over near the vet school. Bleh.

On the other hand, if we went to the 9.15 one we would have time for pizza (or other dinner of your choice), and some Munchkin before going. Can we have a decision on this by tonight please?

stawberi - March 5, 2007 08:54 AM (GMT)
I like 9.15, it gives me time to kidnap the boyfriend.

Lady D - March 5, 2007 09:26 AM (GMT)
You have to kidnap someone to go with?

tee hee

stawberi - March 5, 2007 09:29 AM (GMT)
Well yes. His Mummy doesn't like him riding on the back of the scooter, so it must be done covertly. ;)

Lady D - March 5, 2007 09:37 AM (GMT)
*rolls around laughing at thought of boy friend on back of girl friends scooter. Avoiding parents to do it in secret. lol*

Seruja - March 5, 2007 10:37 AM (GMT)
Id like to come....

stawberi - March 5, 2007 10:38 AM (GMT)
For good reason. I had an accident just last Friday.

Lady D - March 5, 2007 12:03 PM (GMT)
That is really a hint isnt it? perhaps you and scooters dont mix

stawberi - March 5, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
Nevar! Was on it again today.

Charisma - March 5, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
Right, well, in the absence of any objections it has been decided to go to the 9.15 one.

Seruja, not a problem. We're meeting in the MARS room at about 6.30 - right guys? There will be guys with cars to take us to the cinemaaaaaaaa. Joy.

Whew, I just contended with Cisco's evil module tests. I feel proud to have survived. Barely. Last-minute guessing is not good for stress levels.

If any details change, PLEASE TELL ME. I'll be in the MARS room after my tute before my lecture - 3.30 latest until 4.20. I will not be checking the forum between now and then.

Lady D - March 6, 2007 11:38 AM (GMT)
Ohhhh you guys have fun.
