It has come to my attention that in order to actually be publications its helps to have an idea and I actually have one. *shock horror*

Instead of dedicating an entired book/magazine to stories, poetry and other art works done by our ever talented MARS members. We could instead make like a year book in which we record the events of the past year, the reason I am bringing it up now is the fact that if we decide its worth doing now would be a good time to start collecting a years worth of stuff.

What I thought would be nice to include:
Profiles on the members of MARS, listing our various quirks and what not
MARS events and crazy days that have happened
MARS past- a section dedicated to reflection upon the past of MARS and what not
Art work by the members- just a bit not the whole thing
Photo's of all of the above
A few nice inserts from our lovely and all powerful committee.
A large and well dedicated page to the purple dragon! (this can be ignored at your own peril!!!!!)

as i said when you told me in person... that's actually a good idea!
we'll see how it goes trying to put it together graphically (as my job will be) amoungst other homework and assignments but i'm definatly up for giving it a good try, i reckon it will happen :D

People need to come to the weekend parties, possibly with camera, in order to best work as publications.

For future reference, i have a car and can give lifts to people for most weekend things if i am going. 043 996 3572 << is my number, if you don't add me to your msn(culling66@hotmail.com) you can ring it, and then we can possibly work something out.

I am pretty far out when it comes to Murdoch so people tend not to like giving me lifts but I am sure I can send my representative *glances as Adian* you are in charge of imagining, which means photos which means go get em tiger.

Just let me know whats happening and when so I can at least try and plan an appearance so I can get some notes or something.

i'll also want prior warning, i live north of perth so i need to find time to plot my driving course! - i suck at navagating as Lady D soon learnt (and depending on the occurances planned for the night, a place to sleep is also a good idea)

Lady D, I think you need to get in to the Mars cupboard and have a look at past Phantasmagoria publications.

I dunno, there doesn't seem to be the material available to do anything like what was done in the past, and this idea seems worthwhile. It'd be more like a year book, than a phantas, but can incorporate creativity still. It'd be like a big mish mash of various going ons and ideas yeah?

She had a look at the last exec meeting I think.

I did take a look at the books done in the past and there just isnt that sort of material about to do it like that. Besides everything like that tends to end up on the web these days. Which is why I came up with something new and a bit of a mix and match of things. Advancement!

What sort of game would we play it in?

.... 3 weeks after playing the game, the group gathers in the mars room to play another session, and it starts fine, until the federal police burst in and take everyone off to jail to be tried as planning acts of terrorism.

I've always considered 'Phantasmagoria' as a year book for MARS. It comes out yearly, it should contain reports from at least some of the executive on what's happened in the last year, it should contain 'stuff' created by the members. stories, artwork, whatever. maybe b&w pics from events like the quiz nite along with the write up of how it went would be good too.

and yes, things like a few members making up geek-stats for a bunch of other regular (or not so regular) members would be appropriate in the 'stuff' section

Yes that sounds along the lines of what I was thinking and what I meant. Just with a little more stuff than actual stories and what not. This is due to the fact that a great deal of it is ending up online now.

I'd be intrigued to see a profile of me...how the hell would you explain the whole 'appears both good and evil at the same time' thing? Really good Bluff skill? ;)
