Did you take photos! please tell me you took photos!
We should start a cosplay thread!
WEZ! - July 13, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
yes well done Strawberi :) Looked really good I thought.
In fact I'm not sur anyone took photos which is ashame.
Think the movie had less interest than expected. I think the more installments there is the lower the interest.
Anyway was all good :)
TLorie - July 13, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
The next movie is planned to be released November the 21st.
You're right about the lack of interest, but it still clocked 12 mil in the states first night.
They did a good job considering the size of the book. the characterisation was a lot better than the previous, less humor. the special effects were nice :)
stawberi - July 13, 2007 05:47 AM (GMT)
Kimmi got photos with his phone, but only of me. I want a photo of the person who was the hippogriff, lol!
And yeah, considering it was my least favourite book, they did a good job with the movie. Honestly I think it's just lack of geek interest, or perhaps knowledge of the screening, because while the cinema may have been half empty, every hoyts screening is fully booked out for the next few days.
Lady D - July 13, 2007 10:28 AM (GMT)
No spoilers please. Some of us have wait until we can see it. People like me.
TLorie - July 13, 2007 01:49 PM (GMT)
How can there be spoilers?
We've all read the books, and your bro already ruined it 4 u. lol.
stawberi - July 13, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
Did I mention anything at all other than it was good.
Ok ok Jess, just for you.
OMG Sirius dies! XD
Lady D - July 14, 2007 01:34 AM (GMT)
*sigh* I cried when i read that in the books. I was like OMG my rp character on TMM dies! WTF get stuffed!
Actually it was more me just going wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I liked him! Waahhhhhhhh He was cool! Waahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Sigh.
TLorie - July 14, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
*cough* I laughed in the theatre.
He annoyed me. But I find it strange that it was Bella that killed him. They were cousins and blood is thicker than water.
Lady D - July 14, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
Apparently except when arguing about pure blood, half blood and muggle born.
It doesn't surprise me that you laughed. It is you after all.
You killed me. Sigh.
stawberi - July 14, 2007 12:29 PM (GMT)
Bella is nutso. Nuff said. She has gone the way of the cackle.
1&ownly - July 14, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
still, bonus points for those (females) that up and applauded when Sirius burst in snarling "get your hands off my bloodson"

Here is the summary of the Harry Potter Competitions
Summary of the Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenis screening.
Once again we had Reading Cinemas Staff Judging the Harry Potter Best Costume Prize. Thanks to both Shelley and Kalise for their judging :)
Our Overall winner was
Samantha James - decked out in a fantastic grifindor uniform.
She has won the latest GenghisCon T-shirt for her troubles.
Our runners up were:
Shelley McCaw - full hippogriff costume - very impressive
Adam McCaw (our previous Cos-play winner)
Nick Bannon
who all got free movie passes for their efforts.
The Door Prize went to:
Lyall Stewart
who got a free Harry Potter book from our Sponsors White Dward Books.
Thanks once again to all who attended our screening and those who entered out competitions.
- It seemed to be a huge grossing film still so guess didn't get enough people noticing about it for the screening we held. Well we still got a decent turn out just not as much as the other films we had run previously. Anyway I'm sure everyone is enjoying the spoiler shenanigans that are going on around the final book at the moment :)
