Title: Shaking out the dust

Lady D - December 11, 2007 11:08 AM (GMT)
In this realm of text based role play there is nothing like shaking the dust off and pulling out something old. Polish it up a bit recycle the good parts and sell it on for more than its worth. That is to say....

I BRING YOU A NEW TEXT ROLE PLAY!

With chronicle's of Mereton vanished into the realm of the archives or where ever abandoned threads go. I have decided to wipe the dust of the realm of this text role play board.

Based on the anime Trinity blood (Kinda)

First Dawn

Post apocalypse the world was invaded by beings we dubbed vampires, there was a war and slowly an uneasy peace was reached. The vampires rule half the world and humans the other half. The church has become the dominate power and rule with an iron clad fist.

There are people among the humans who have power. They have the power to do certain things. They are called Dishra' which in the vampires tongue means 'other'.
Abilities include:
Telekinesis
Telepathy
Enthalpy
Pyrokenisis
Cursing
Gravity fielding (ask for details on this)

And many other powers. These powers are results from either breeding between a vampire and a human or from the old world. The old world was known for genetic experimentations. There are many strange people hidden in the alley ways of the cities and hiding away from the world. You never know what you might stumble across.

The church believes that all the Dishra' should be under their control to fight against any intrusions upon the Truce by the vampires.

The vampires are all gifted in some way. Each with their own abilities partially inherited and part pot luck. Training improves the abilities. They age slower, burn in bright sunlight, have excellent night vision and are cursed with the thirst. The thirst occurs when a vampire has not taken the drug called 'Starblood' or they have lost a great deal of their own blood.

There is a war brewing in far north, the icy lands are a stir. There has been a series of unexplained murder among high ranking officials of both sides. The boarder between the vampire nation and the human nation has become unfriendly territory and movement is restricted.

There is however one city on the boarder, the city is considered a step towards peace. It is shared between humans and vampires, a northern gateway between the nations of man and vampire. The city is ready to brew over. The church has sent its people north to the city to try and get to the source of the murders and the vampires have done likewise. Sending someone from their court to investigate.

Which are you?
Vampire: noble, servant, imperial servant? Free lancer? Commoner?
Human: Priest? Dishra'? servant of god? free man? mercenary?

Expressions of interest? Might turn this into a DnD style game if you pester me to. (using Glen to make it work of course)

Please post profile in paragraph form!!! Including all relevant details.

Here is me expressing an interest ^_^ But I know zilch about Trinity Blood so...summary of society and caste system (you mentioned servants, imperial servants, nobility, clergy (I assume there's a hierarchy there too?), and Dishra') would be appreciated. As well as prevailing social trends in the city where the roleplay is based, and possibly the major centres of the two sides.

Yeah, that's about it :P

And thus I give to you your character profile (which we wrote here and now). This is an example for the rest of you! This will be moved into a new thread called First Dawn. Funny that aye? Whilst I am at it I also describe you the first crime scene you have access to.

The room stank. It stank of blood and death, a few lazy flies circled the bodies; at least they would be bodies if they were whole. Instead they were in pieces scattered throughout the room. The ceiling lamp was still dripping, the chandelier had a new addition to its ornamentations, a severed head. Its tongue had been ripped out where the throat once was, the eyes had been removed and placed on an individual candle holder each. The walls had once been plain white washed but its current state was far from white. The blood splatter and spray had ensured that.

The window shutters idly slapped against the glass interrupting the silence with sharp cracks. The room hardly looked like a shop/workshop but it was. Destruction had changed the purpose and look of the room in such a dramatic manner that even the two guards posted at the door had a hard time thinking of it as anything more than a house of carnage.

Outside the only hint of anything wrong with this room was the two guards at the door, broken window and the blood splatter across the shutters.

As a woman approached the door the two guards crossed their halberds and gave her stern look. A tiny flicker of surprise flitted through her eyes, swiftly chased away by irritation at being blocked from her duty by some lowlife humans, and she turned a glare on them. The two twitched slightly at the level of malevolence visible in her gaze but stood their ground.

"Move," she ordered simply, tone subarctic.

"Can't do that ma'am," one of the guards explained somewhat nervously.

"Orders are not to let anyone inside," the other added, and gulped when she turned her glare solely on him.

"Your orders are to prevent the milieu from entering," she corrected. "I am not, however, one of this city's commoners. I am Indona Jehrul de Nisketti, investigating representative of the Empire and the Empress herself."

"Papers please?" the guard not currently being pinned by de Nisketti's glare managed to choke out.

Indona reached into the folds of her blood-red cloak and drew out a roll of parchment, tossing it to the guard who had asked without looking at him, using the same half-gloved hand to move back one of the halberds and slip through the door, not waiting for further permission.

It was hardly surprising that the guards had been intimidated; despite being slightly short, the floor-length cloak wrapped across her back and left shoulder made her seem much taller, and billowed impressively in the wind. The hem was heavily embroidered with gold thread in a repeated starburst pattern (conveniently concealing the darts stored therein), weighting the bottom and allowing the cloak to hang straight and conceal much of her outfit. What was visible wasn't any less impressive: black and red seemed to be the main themes, with accents in various precious metals. On her arms she had black gloves that bared all her fingers but the ring and little ones stretched most of the way up her forearm that were worked in silver and gold around several black-looking gems. A dark red breastplate covered a black tanktop, and leather pants in a matching red nearly covered well-fitted black combat boots. No blades were visible, but there was no mistaking that crossing her was a very bad idea.

The scent of blood as soon as she got inside made her attention spike instantly, and red-gold eyes narrowed slightly before returning to their usual aggressive glare as she inspected the room around her.

Consider this a poke on for this board simply to keep it around.
