Title: Please allow me to introduce my self . . .
Description: The Yank is flapping his gums

Burton - January 4, 2008 07:26 AM (GMT)
Greetings and Salutations to MARS,    I am an American . . .no keep reading I am also a gamer! I will be dong an MBA program at Murdoch this year and would like to get my game on.  I have played in D&D 3.5, AD&D, Shadowrun, VtM, Exalted, Nobilis, and I have dabbled in Vampire Larps.  I have run VtM, and All Flesh Must Be Eaten.  I also listen to a few gaming podcasts, Fear the Boot, Sons of Kryos, Theory from the Closet, Dragons Landing Inn and occasionally RPGMP3.com.  I don't know what type of demand my program will put on me but I would like to be in or perhaps small chance run a weekly to every other week game.  I however do like running and playing in shorter, one shot to 4 session long, games.  I hope to meet you all eventually Cheers.

... are you a man of wealth and taste? I bet I can guess your name!

... >.< You're not Satan are you?

Good song though... *dances in chair* *crawls back into box*

Mostly we hang out in the room and scare each other. Thus why I'm not often in it. Also my recent resolve to actually pass all my units this new year... and last year, though it didn't work so well.

Yeah so anyway, I'm Kat, a former president of MARS. Welcome to our forum boards. Are you in Perth now? Cause I'm planning on having some kind of house warming in a couple of week where I invite a bunch of random people and maybe you can come and make some new friends/meet some MARS people/bring me some saplings for my new garden.

:D

Burton - January 5, 2008 12:35 AM (GMT)
Hello Kat,

oh I wish I was a man of wealth. I do like food so I guess that makes me a man of taste.

It is a good song *dances in chair* *crawls back into hole in ground* * looks jealously at box*

Well I am a fan of hanging out and scaring people I too have to pass all my units visa requirements and all.

I am in the area my program starts on the 7th and is at night. I would love to attend your gathering. Any particular type of sapling?

atomic.bazza - January 5, 2008 09:48 AM (GMT)

MinionHashOne - January 6, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
I be the OoK. See me for... well if you get the reference then you will know no?

aido727 - January 6, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
heya, i guess this would make me the hardcore video gamer and one of the MARS techies. *waves*

Burton - January 6, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
MinionHashOne
Bananas are very tasty. Unless Google steered me wrong and I just insulted your culture, and showed my noob colors.

aido 727
I like video games, and most people like wathcing me fail playing video games because I am horrible at them. I am big fan of catching grenades in Halo, or jumping off the edge during Super Smash Brothers.

aido727 - January 6, 2008 03:48 AM (GMT)
*ponders for a moment* maybe your skills at catching grenades in Halo would transfer to catching flak shards in UT? oh and you are talking to one of the 2 MARS Smash Bros pros :D

MinionHashOne - January 6, 2008 06:47 AM (GMT)
u be googler? thatll do although bannanas will kill me... im sure of it

stawberi - January 6, 2008 08:47 AM (GMT)
M#1, stop stealing my allergies!

MinionHashOne - January 6, 2008 08:49 AM (GMT)
>.> mine first :P :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r:

Burton - January 6, 2008 11:09 AM (GMT)
Food goes in the mouth not the nose. I am a fat kid I know these things. Allergies are not great to steal no resale value now I hear Kidney Thieves make some good money, spleen snatchers less so , but if you were a liver looter you could retire after a few years of work. That is why I drink to keep the liver looters away <_<

JEHT - January 7, 2008 01:20 AM (GMT)
welcome Burton! I'm John and I usually run the Serenity campaign during the semester. Look forward to meeting you.

JT

stawberi - January 7, 2008 11:29 AM (GMT)
Nuhuh minion! I'm older, it was my allergy first!

atomic.bazza - January 7, 2008 11:32 AM (GMT)
we loves the serenity!! w00t.

MinionHashOne - January 7, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
according to the circular nature of time iv had it longer so :P

Lady D - January 7, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Yo.

I am the resident evil of MARS (kidding, I actually have to share that tittle)

I am Lady D at your service. Publications officer and Bedlam member (the errr theater company that is not the asylum. Although both are good and have parallels.)

I am the MARS science nerd, and general stupids fact person, i absorb information and then regurgitate at random. Did you know a tigers skin is striped as well as its fur? Of the non-domestic cats only the cheetah can purr.

Anyone off to work oh and M#1 is my minion hands off.

All for now.

Run along.

etimodnar - January 7, 2008 10:43 PM (GMT)
What's a minion hands off? Is it some sort of device that cuts the hands off your minions?

OR, do you mean
"...is my minion, hands off!

I feel I ought to warn you, all the first year (oh now second years, I can stop mocking them for being so little!) are completely addicted to Stargate: Atlantis. Sad I know, consider yourself warned!

She's not really at your service. Or if she is, she'll use that service as a means of evil. EVIL!!! I have Holy Water, Jess, +15 against evil!! lol

I'm more of a Star Trek: Voyager person.

Burton - January 8, 2008 04:28 AM (GMT)
Well I have read and own the serenity book I have not actually played :(

Time is an illusion lunch time doubly so! If we didn't have time everything would happen at once and then we would have nothing to do when it is over. :ph43r:

You should always mock the youths untill they knock down your alpha status

I don't have a problem with evil. B)

The puppy socialization period is from 3-20 weeks depending on breed and individual dog. But you really should have eaten them by then.

My sci fi show fu is very weak.

I can't wait to meet you all you sound like a great bunch of people. Except Lady D she sounds evil.

Lady D - January 8, 2008 07:34 AM (GMT)
why thank you!

And I am not addicted to just Stargate Atlantis I have other interests like SG1. :P

I am sure that there is no need for holy water. After all you already delfated my ego sufficently by correcting my grammar. Again.

atomic.bazza - January 8, 2008 09:55 AM (GMT)
i has entire star trek voyager box set in borg cube http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/796526 w0 h000

aido727 - January 8, 2008 12:02 PM (GMT)
let's NOT start SG vs Star Trek please... not here

it's like arguing between whose line is it anyway and monty python (the 2 diff arguments match up rather well actually, think about it...)

Burton - January 8, 2008 01:11 PM (GMT)
There is no argument on either Monty Python and Stark Trek

Yes I just poked the 800 pound gorilla in the eye

wait SG has RDA okay jury is out on that but Monty Python definitely

atomic.bazza - January 8, 2008 02:19 PM (GMT)
come on aido there is no comparison between whos line and monty python.

monty python were pioneers and are fucking awesome and survive the test of time

aido727 - January 8, 2008 02:58 PM (GMT)
well u started to get my point there, there is no comparison

etimodnar - January 9, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
I think you're alone. Star Trek and Monty Python PWNS! Stargate and Whose Line

PWNS!!!!

Burton - January 10, 2008 01:09 AM (GMT)
What about Richard Dean Anderson how does he factor into the equation? I think Macgyver can make a warp drive out of a paper clip and an ancient egyptian device.

Lady D - January 10, 2008 09:56 AM (GMT)
In some of the 'I-have-the-entire-ancients-database-in-my-head' episodes he probably does just that!

:P

Startrek is outdated move on. It was good in its time but now there is something shinier!

Burton - January 10, 2008 01:38 PM (GMT)
Touche Lady D Touche

atomic.bazza - January 10, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
purple monkey dishwasher

Darkmatter - January 11, 2008 08:26 AM (GMT)
lol, Hi Im Jonty...The engineering student and physics anomily, don't worry wou will hear the story. Just know this IT REALLY DID HAPPEN!!!!!

RDSR - January 11, 2008 08:46 AM (GMT)
Welcome all...
I'm Naomi, the Sane member of MARS...
Though considering I'm the president that doesn't bode well for the rest of you... :P

Anyway feel free to randomly turn up and hang out, It's what the rest of us do.

And Jonty you really need to stop doing things like that... One of these days your gonna end up tearing a hole in space and time.

Burton - January 11, 2008 12:42 PM (GMT)
I actually swung by today and no one was around but I keep odd night student hours. When do you guys typically hang out and is it by the Nescafe machine?

Hello Naomi If you are the only one who does not see the PFD and we all do you must be the crazy one.

Hey Jonty for you I bid quantum mechanics and it did happen but it also didn't happen. I must steal your probability.

Time is an illusion lunch time doubly so.

aido727 - January 12, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
well we are on holidays right now, and right now we dont actually have a room. Old one was taken by the uni and they are doing some construction work on it and the new one isnt ready for us yet.

During semester the room was always full (or at least 2 or 3 people) and that was at any time between 9am and 6pm (sometimes later). I think we will need to find a hangout place somewhere on campus in the meantime so we can actually find each other and give the new people like Burton a chance of actually finding us!

Burton - January 12, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
Well it is good to hear that we will be getting the room back I don't know where I would get goats blood and hemlock around here.

I think I might have even seen some of you wandering around I saw a guy with a mustache and long dreads wearing a black shirt and shorts earlier. I saw a tall thin guy wearing mostly black and was on the not tan side, he had bought something from a book from I assume the uni and it was a fantasy book. Both were in south st.

I think stalking . . . i mean hunting
People watching is fun!!!!

My assumption being a gamer is a gamer

I wear my student camo and blend in. We need a hand signal or a secret sign.

Darkmatter - January 12, 2008 10:33 AM (GMT)
Time is purley conceptual. Lunch time however is when im hungry and no other time, but time doesnt exist...so I eat when im hungry. Which is generally through-out the day.

Question: Has any one read the "His Dark Matterials" trilage by Phillip Paullmen

The movie The Golden Compass is bassed on the first book.

Excuse my horrable spelling.

stawberi - January 12, 2008 10:48 AM (GMT)
We don't need a secret handsign, we all know who we are.

Lady D - January 13, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
*takes to Jonty with a rusty razor blade!*

Naturally I have read His Dark Material. I also already have the movie. (bali copy though)

The movie was not that good. I refuse to talk about it. Go read the book!

*sulks over movie and how disappointing it was*

Burton - January 13, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
This is how it always is the book is always better. When I get the chance it is on my to read list.

What games are going to be run this semester?

On a completely different note
I am having problems looking for a place anywhere I should look besides reiwa.com and realestate.com ?
