stawberi - February 20, 2008 07:38 AM (GMT)
Me and two friends also want, so thinking of starting a campaign in a few weeks. Might try my hand at GMing.
coder928 - February 20, 2008 08:20 AM (GMT)
i am going to be running a game, but at the moment its looks like ill know for sure if i can run one in 2weeks.
also im planing on keeping it simple, so core rule books one, 2 and 3 only.
The reason for this, is that ive never GM'd B4 so i dont want to dive too deep and sink.
coder928 - February 20, 2008 08:26 AM (GMT)
times for a game im run, well at the moment its looking like either friday after 12 noon, or maybe a sunday.
atomic.bazza - February 20, 2008 04:03 PM (GMT)
i like the idea of first time dm so i'll join what ever
joseph - February 21, 2008 06:14 AM (GMT)

lee0011 - February 28, 2008 08:44 AM (GMT)
Hi,
I'm new to the area and would like to join in on a game, so when are they running and where can I get in on one?
I'm good for the afternoon except thursday
Lady D - February 28, 2008 09:05 AM (GMT)
There is always text role play. You don't even have to leave the house. the comfort of your chair and the staring at the screen can continue unhindered. :P
Check out ANNOUNCING NEW ROLE PLAY. In the Text role play if you like a bit of the old fashioned written, text role play.
atomic.bazza - February 28, 2008 11:58 AM (GMT)
yeah the point of DnD is that you do have to leave your home... its more social and more fun
aido727 - February 28, 2008 12:58 PM (GMT)
Claire has the point there, key part of DnD for most people is the in-person interaction. Much like talking to a person is much better than using MSN for everything
any more detailed details on the actual story idea owen? im interested
Kimmy - February 28, 2008 01:07 PM (GMT)
I'll jion a sunday crew maybe, or anything evening/weekend based.
also my game`will restart in 3 weeks when my department is disbanded.
Burton - February 28, 2008 03:06 PM (GMT)
I am down for the game if it is Sunday or ends by 4:30 on any day. What type of DnD game are you playing have you picked out setting ?
lee0011 - February 29, 2008 03:05 AM (GMT)
sunday sunday sunday, or the afternoons during the week. Just post where and when, we need to organize something.
coder928 - March 2, 2008 01:47 PM (GMT)
Ok due to popular demand, it will be a sunday.
Now i just need a venue.
Burton - March 2, 2008 03:19 PM (GMT)
"Since it is Sunday wouldn't it be easier to find a room at university?" asked the American

atomic.bazza - March 3, 2008 01:44 AM (GMT)
but uni is so far to go on a sunday... and i'm the only girl
Lady D - March 3, 2008 04:28 AM (GMT)
So all bow to her whims! besides the university hates opening rooms for people on the weekends.
Burton - March 3, 2008 06:30 AM (GMT)
My time abroad I have a feat "Advanced bowing" +3 to diplomancy when looking at feet.
So where can we play?
Do we even wnat to talk about group template and setting now?
joseph - March 4, 2008 04:08 AM (GMT)
since its sunday it doesnt have to be at uni. it can be at a more central location(somones house) or what not. thats if uni's being an ass and not lending the rooms
- joseph
lee0011 - March 4, 2008 11:00 AM (GMT)
Hey,
I;m ok with where ever it is, just dont make it too far away from the uni, because Joondalup is at least an hour away, if not more by train.
Lets scry google and see where it shows all of us, and then a central location will be easier to find. Or maybe meet on campus the first sunday, if we dont have a place by then.
coder928 - March 4, 2008 11:29 AM (GMT)

lee0011 - March 5, 2008 07:41 AM (GMT)
Ok so what time on Sunday are we starting?
Oh about the map, but there are no castles in the mountains, i want mountain. white northern mountains. My inner dwarf speaks out ha ha ha
seriously the map is cool
Burton - March 7, 2008 04:42 AM (GMT)
I like the map and description I like the plot hooks I see.
Quick questions
What are if any the religions/ gods?
What type of game is it going to be? Dungeon crawl? Plot heavy? Character driven?
Any other setting information on the city?
What type of group do you see? Political? Physical? Social ? Balanced?
What should we bring Sunday? Dice? Character history? Ideas?
To the Players
What type of group template are you guys thinking about?
Group template answers the in character question of why the characters are together but out of character it is the I want to play this type of character, sneaky guy :ph43r: , fighter guy, etc. This way each player doesn't create the same character with the same skills and we play steal the spot light all game. This is not only for character types but also personalities. Example 2 rogues in the group could have the same skills but one is the moral person or is a gentleman thief while the other is a harden criminal.
I am excited and want to play if you can't tell. :D
coder928 - March 7, 2008 09:05 AM (GMT)
plot hooks? i dont know what you mean :P
As for the rest of the places on the map, im still wording descriptions in a way not to give away to much.
Burton - March 9, 2008 11:17 AM (GMT)
Burton - March 9, 2008 12:18 PM (GMT)
So about Orik.
I am planning to him to be a jack of all trades who's goal is primarily survival and learning all he can to do that. He uses bows because of that and his skills are all about making it through the next day, room, adventure. Why he didn't settle down and be a farmer? Don't know yet but right now he just has the bug to be off and make a fortune, maybe a curse or torrid back story to be added later. I am hoping to be the sneaky sniper type who knows just enough to get by.
I want to see a scene with Orik sniping at an enemy or shooting into melee and taking out an enemy about to strike a person from behind. I also want to get my sneaky get in and get some information and get out before I am detected.
Goals
short term
Master work weapons (dagger, arrows, composite short bow and short sword)
Treasure
Medium
More skill points
Rogue type magical items
Join map makers guild
Long term
Estate or place to live
Maybe an epic battle into hell
Any character stuff you guys want to know or tell?
joseph - March 10, 2008 04:02 AM (GMT)

- joseph
Burton - March 12, 2008 02:23 PM (GMT)

coder928 - March 17, 2008 11:12 AM (GMT)
From now on the GM will be calling the healer, "doctor death", afterall anyone who dresses in black and carrys a bone sickle must be evil or a necromancer. :P
Lady D - March 17, 2008 11:33 AM (GMT)
I'm not.......... no wait I am evil. So there is one example in your favour.
coder928 - March 18, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
Ok people with sunday being easter sunday do you want to move the game just for this week 2 early next week since its a studybreak?
