Howdy all!

Here's the background for the game which I promised. So far we have 5 players committing to Serenity on Friday.

Dave - Gambler type
Joey - Doctor
Kat - Whore / Kaylee type?
Stanton - Sheriff
Warwick - Gentleman

Gene can't join us because he's landed himself work experience on friday and I told him that I'll work around him at another stage.

Chris (when you see this) hasn't committed himself yet because he's still cycling somewhere down south. God keep you save buddy and come back soon so that we can have you in the game!

Anyways, the background for the setting is on the planet Lilac (page 217 of the main book for reference). Specifically, a small town called Hope. Hope just hit the big news in the Cortex because major gold deposits found a few months ago.

Some of you would be creating characters that started in Hope, either moving from other parts of the planet or from off world. Others would be just arriving into Hope.

For all you folks who like visual inspirations, think Deadwood set in Firefly/Serenity.

first of all, yey for me finally getting here, and second of all, sorry for not being able to play. personally i think that it would look better on my resume if i can say i was doing 6 months work experience or more in the related field. but if i can i will drop in when i have time.

sure that work experince would look good on your resume ... but which will you have more fun in for the next Xmonths. i would say RP'ing ... unless i'm doing something awesome like [insert something that you find awesome here]

im not sure but i think i might be able to play a few games but i will talk more with john about me possibly coming into the game, not certian about how many sessions i would be able to play before i find something else like the last work experience and dont want to leave you guys in the lurch or john with a character that he will either need to puppeteer or find some way to ... remove

Gene, I'm happy if you want to create a character. The truth is, Serenity is the sorta of game which does cater to big groups because it has such a visual genre. See you this friday for the game if you like. Now's the time to have fit a character in because the players are on-planet.
