Title: MARS Key
Description: Has anyone seen it?
Horizon - December 12, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
Dear all MARS peoples,
Do any of you have the key to the MARS room? If so, please return it to the guild so that we can have access to it.
regards, John

No really, it'd be great if the key went back into the magical box so I can get in on my breaks when no one's there...
stawberi - February 24, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
You're telling me. Who has it?
etimodnar - February 24, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
no idea! I made noise over this very issue last year when we lost our second last key and told everyone it'd cost us $20 and two weeks to get a replacement cut for us!
Horizon - February 26, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
The matter has been resolved by the Guild President & Administration.
regards, JT

Current status:
The key is getting cut and the locks redone next week (approx 4th of march). We are getting one copy of the key. If we want extras they will be 50-60 AUD each and we have to cough up for them.
stawberi - February 27, 2007 10:07 AM (GMT)
I'll cough up for an extra if they're going :P
Kimmy - February 27, 2007 12:39 PM (GMT)
I can get keys cut with a mate, no questions asked.
Of course if you *want* to pay $50 a key go for it..
Charisma - February 27, 2007 01:00 PM (GMT)
With a mate? No questions asked? That sounds so dodge...
etimodnar - February 27, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
... agreed. I was talking to the guild lady last year, who told me that the keys are of the non-cutting-unless-from-a-certain-place kind. So... I dunno if your friend covers that.
And even if they did, it's something that we'd talk about at the meeting, and hopefully not a path we'd go down.
cas - February 28, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)
These keys are different again. They look quite odd, I am not sure how easily they can be cut...
stawberi - February 28, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
Kat: It seems a fairly typical Mars path to me :P
Lady D - March 4, 2007 11:07 PM (GMT)
The dodgy idea sounds right down our alley seeings as how none of us really want Mars funds going to keys. I have a better solution though.
JUST DONT LOOSE IT
stawberi - March 5, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Easier said than done. A lot of times it just goes missing, like it's been stolen.
etimodnar - March 5, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
*shakes fist at whoever stole it*
Culling - March 5, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
yarr to them as well.
How many keys should we get cut? and where do we keep them to let people open up the room so the most people can use it?
stawberi - March 5, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Well the official key has to be left where it's supposed to be, but if we had extras made, they could be distributed to exec members who are frequently on campus.
And remember, if there's not an exec member there, the room is not open. :P
Charisma - March 5, 2007 09:02 AM (GMT)
Aww don't I count?
Oh that's right I turned down exec position ^_^
Lady D - March 5, 2007 09:24 AM (GMT)
Damn you! given that you seem to always be about.
Charisma - March 5, 2007 02:41 PM (GMT)
No, I'm really not. I came in specially for the special Friday things. Other than that I'm in the MARS room very little - mainly cuz i have no time for anything.
I may attempt to crash the place in the morning, to SHOCK HORROR do some study. I wonder if anyone will be there with a key. Hint hint.
Other than that I'm in there about 3 hours a week. Not much really. Considering I was spending half my uni week there last semester XD
etimodnar - March 5, 2007 02:56 PM (GMT)
oh I remember the days of last year when I'd study in the room. Those were good days.
Damn! I'm just itching... ITCHING!!!! to get back to uni next semester. I WANNA GO BACK!! wah!
So sick of not being at uni. Want uni! uni foamy.... yeah... I know someone is gonna understand me on this...
uni smell nice. want uni
Lady D - March 6, 2007 11:44 AM (GMT)
Just wait till you get into a boring unit like Statistical Data bases and Analysis.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
etimodnar - March 6, 2007 02:06 PM (GMT)
Are you kidding? Surely there is no unit more boring than "Intro to Science".
Seriously. I did yr 12 physics and chem. I don't need an intro. I failed because I was to so COMPLETELY ARSED to do any work on it because it's like this huge gargantuan joke!!
MAN! that was like the worst unit ever. Cept maybe Social Mathematics. That too was ajoke. But I least I could be arsed doing that. And I actually learnt something.
