Event and activity Ideas.
Well, the semester has started again and i think that talking about what to do as MARS on the weekend would be better done on the forums than through Exec Meetings or in the club room which may or may not have people in it.
So, Start, Make Suggestions, and then everyone can work out what they want to do/don't want to do
- Fancy Restaurant Meal
- Not so Fancy Restaurant Meal
- BBQ
- Lego Night
Think of more, Think of Themes. Use your Brains!
mmmm brain.....

stawberi - February 18, 2007 08:55 AM (GMT)
Just lego? I have several boxes of k'nex, and one of the motors to go with. :D
joseph - February 18, 2007 02:36 PM (GMT)
LEGO ( + other assorted stuff that looks like lego but isnt lego) NIGHT
that is all
- joseph
Culling - February 19, 2007 09:41 AM (GMT)
all my lego is up north :(
Joey seems to like the idea of a lego night though.
Charisma - February 23, 2007 03:08 PM (GMT)
He's oldschool like that.
I like Munchkin. We should have massive Munchkin things. Or maybe just movie nights, because there's quirkyness in being normal occasionally.
joseph - February 23, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
movie night sounds good ..
how about karaoke ? ^________________^
- joseph
btw .. LEGO
Culling - February 24, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
lol, movie night plus munchkin theme for costume?
Beware my Spiked Codpiece of Doom!, and my Extra Loud Tree (usable by werewolves only)
Charisma - February 24, 2007 09:57 AM (GMT)
heh...That would be highly amusing. We'd need to give people lots of notice first tho...so they could get costumes...
Culling - February 24, 2007 10:08 AM (GMT)
Provided it does happen i don't mind giving 2 months notice :P
Kneepads of allure on an orcish cleric with perfect hair
If we could work out places to have these things everything would be much easier, grr to me living in a house i don't own.
stawberi - February 25, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
No Joey, karaoke = a bad thing.
aido727 - February 26, 2007 09:25 AM (GMT)
LEGO! i have a huge collection!
another idea that is somewhat similar (in my mind anyway :P) is maybe a Transformers/Beast Wars/other-cool-action-figures-that-do-more-than-just-be-poseable -night! by other cool things possibly Power Rangers Zords (so cool!)
:D
Lady D - February 27, 2007 10:33 AM (GMT)
Cos-play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*cough*
Just a thought, weekends are bad though! I have to work on weekends! from 9-4 both days and then I have uni at 8:30 every morning! *sits and weeps* My time table is a cruel cruel thing.
Culling - February 27, 2007 12:19 PM (GMT)
The best parties are at night, you would just have to be careful of drinking so much you couldn't go to work.
Kimmy - February 27, 2007 12:37 PM (GMT)
Games & bad videos night! Lotsa of food and candy and games can be found and video stores provide lots of poorly formed videolatic talent to mock and distort!
Charisma - February 28, 2007 10:46 AM (GMT)
That has actual potential ^_^ I've forced Joey to watch more bad videos than anything else lately XD sorry dear!
Issue with night parties is people who take public transport. Such as myself. So there is a likelihood of 'crash at the place' being a possible favourite with people like myself who don't drive and well...yeah, I'll leave it at that. Taxi people is goodness.

When's the next Games Night?
Oh, for the ladies...in the next month or so I'm hosting an Emma Page jewellery party thing. Not sure on exact dates, but who's actually interested in coming?
Lady D - February 28, 2007 11:28 AM (GMT)
Details required. Like what in the hell exactly is that?
Culling - February 28, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
bad movies require. drinking games.
:)
1. Any homoerotic content, take a drink (that means sam and frodo, ron and harry etc etc)
2. any completely nonsensicle items which happen in the movie, take a drink.
what else?
and i should also point out that we want to be able to stand at the end of the movie/movies :P
joseph - February 28, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
or you could do that with anime ...
everyone picks a character .. whenever their selected character appears they take a drink ..

Emma Page is a line of jewellery. They run in much the same way as Tupperware, Nutrimetics, Avon (etc) parties. Only, it's pretty shiny things that you wear. I probably wont come as I've been to a few (and even hosted one) before and they'll only be a couple of new items. But save me a brochure?
You know, Bodyshop and Adultshop also run parties. I went to a bodyshop one and that was nice. We all got our feet pampered. I was invited to an adultshop one. But I didn't go
Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:11 AM (GMT)
maybe a good thing. you're corrupt enough as it is dear, we'd like the pres to be...somewhat innocent XD and of course that's not for our benefit...
yes, emma page is shiny shiny jewellery in the tupperware style of party. rhodium instead of silver, and the gold is plated on gold-coloured metal. so it's fashion jewellery, not real stuff. but still the pieces are somewhat expensive >_> but very pretty! anyway, i'll get hold of a brochure for you kat, i'm sure neale won't mind ^_^ the new line came out last month...some pretty pretty things i could see in the brochure!

I can only imagine what would happen if there was something like this for guys.
a weapons party. Look at this, with this you could cut clean through 4 men before needing to worry about losing the edge. and this here is to help soak up the blood, to make your hands stop from slipping.
or maybe it would be a tool party, urgh, with this drill you can make holes in things, like this chair.
.... hmm
Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:18 AM (GMT)
There is, in fact, man-jewellery made by Emma Page too. Only there's not as much variety as the girl-jewellery. but it's very nice man-jewellery...
Culling - March 1, 2007 10:48 AM (GMT)
man jewelery?
a shiny knife on a lucky charm wrist bracelet?
Charisma - March 1, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
Nah. More like leather and matt stainless steel. I think it's nice anyway... but meh. I guess men can come if you want, but it's more a girl thing.
Culling - March 1, 2007 11:08 AM (GMT)
Two weeks from now i should be having my place more or less to myself.
I ask for suggestions on what to do with this opportunity.
Charisma - March 1, 2007 11:10 AM (GMT)
PARTEH!!! Absolutely. I want to hear you speak German Drunkenese
etimodnar - March 1, 2007 11:18 AM (GMT)
oh oh! party party!!
YAY, Gene's having a party!
I like Emma Page, I have some stuff that I bought and it's pretty. Yay!
Thanks for brochure getting Charisma!! :D
Charisma - March 1, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)

etimodnar - March 1, 2007 11:21 AM (GMT)

Charisma - March 1, 2007 11:24 AM (GMT)
