Description: What do you think about......

God, I really dislike ALL these teams. But if I gotta pick one....

mania - March 13, 2007 06:42 PM (GMT)
So is everyone in for the $10 fee for the ESPN bracket pool? G Tod is in, so is Raquel, and I..... Whattayasay?

dizzle - March 13, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
I'm in for sure in the bracket. You can fill out up to five brackets so make sure that everybody is going with their first.

samasamiac - March 13, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
Bold Predictions anyone.

Here are some ideas I've been throwing around. Some cotradict themselves so I put them in order of how much I believe them. From most likely to least likely.

I got butler and USC losing in the first rounds which are both 12 over 5. I figure one of the two will be correct.

Wisconsin will lose to Texas A&M Corpus Christie in the first round.

All number ones will make the final 4. Actually I really think this will happen but I just KNOW that it can't happen. It's newton's 4 law of motion.

Arizon will make the Final 4.(or lose in the first round)

Nevada will make the elight eight. Or Creighton (who they play in the first round.)

Thats about it for now. I am usually upset with the bracket layout and this year is no different. Texas vs UNC in the sweet 16! Texas would have been in the final 4 in a lot of other brackets for me but they have to run into my national champion choice early. Also, nevada and creighton would have been sleepers but they play each other early. It seems like EVERY team that I consider good is playing another good team. While there are also several 4 game sections where I don't think ANY of the teams are good and now I have to pick one of them to win 2 games in a row. Also, it seems like the 1 and 2 seeds all have a easy road to the elight eight. (Unless you have to play Texas or Texas A&M)

First number one to lose anyone? I honestly don't see any of them losing but Arizona could pull off the upset against Florida in the second round. I guess Ohio St. would be my choice as the worst of the number ones simply because they are young. Man there are some really good big men on those teams though.

mania - March 14, 2007 03:29 PM (GMT)
I think Ohio State is the worst #1 as well, but the National Bracket posted on ESPN (the picks of the entire country) has Ohio State defeating Florida in the National Championship!!! And all 4 number 1 seeds in the final 4....

I think Wisconsin could lose to Texas AM CC, but this is that school's first time to be in the NCAA tourney ever... Pretty bold prediction but that is what this tourney is all about.

Has anyone watched Georgetown play this year?

This year has been the least basketball exposed year for me since I was about 5 years old. I haven't watched shit except Durant.

I am picking UNLV to be a sleeper...and Vanderbilt.

samasamiac - March 14, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
It's official, Texas A&M CC will win.

Too much time between the release of the brackets and the start of the games. I don't know whether to trust my origional instinct or try listening to the TONS of information everyone is throwing out on TV. Everyone and their biological parents are picking Butler to lose. I will have to start a whole new bracket with my ESPN knowledge and see which one is better. Of course half of the guessing is trying to decipher who on ESPN and radio is full of shit and who knows what theyare talking about. I'll tell you who is usually a good choice. Skip Bayless. Coaches are almost always wrong because they don't tell the media what they really think. Maybe I am not so good at choosing who is giving me good B-ball knowledge. Maybe I just choose what I origionally wanted to choose but just needed an "expert" to tell me it was OK.

Not once. Exactly why I have them winning the whole shabang in my bracket. I don't even know if I watched a whole college basketball game this entire year and since I don't have TV in my room I never watch sportcenter anymore. If I win the bracket this year it will be a complete hoax!!

You still got your entry fee for the bracket DIzzle?? I can front you if you want...

BTW, even though there haven't been a ton of huge upsets, I have stilled loved this year's tourney. Maybe because my bracket is not in complete shambles yet... But still there have only been about 4 blowouts and the rest of the games have been very tight and well-played.
The Xavier/Ohio State game yesterday was a very good example....

Durant vs. USC today... It is gonna be a tough high-scoring game... HOOK'EM HORNS!!!!!!!

HOOK'EM HORNS!!!!!!!

WOW.

P.S. Your mom is Texas A&M CC in the elite eight.....and she was talking shit that her bracket was going some place?

mania - March 19, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
You should never trust a woman's bracket.....

Well Durant and the Longhorns are gone.... and Duke lost. Mizzou's season ended about 4 months ago.... This tourney has lost all the teams I cheer for. So now who? Southern Illinois!!!! C'mon Salukis, beat the JayHawks and make Peter cry.... :crying:

There is a 3 way tie for the lead in the NCAA tourney pool. Me, Dizzle, and Gary Tod.... For the next round, I still have all my Elite 8 teams alive. Gary and Dizzle have 7 of 8 still alive.... and Sam is at the bottom of the pile (worse than my mama and Raquel!!!!) Ha ha....

bwhaahahahahahahahaha!

Sam, Ben's mom and Raquel are beating you. I'd be willing to be that Raquel picked her bracket by which teams had the coolest mascots....your a vagina

Sam, I forgot to tell you that this year's pool is like soccer around the most of the world. If you finish in last place, you will be relegated to a lower division and not allowed to play next year... :D

samasamiac - March 20, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
I filled out 3 seperate pools on the internet and am in last or near last in all of them. Which is hard to do since I switched up the picks for all three (and the fact that the other 2 pools have like 50 entries). Oh well, I guess I just hope I can give my money to someone other than Ben.

Tourney looks pretty exiting though for the next weekend. I love upsets but I really want to see these nmber one teams play other good teams. What I really want is for all the number one seeds to play a round-robin this year. They should just let them do that if they all make the final four.

I am glad that wisconsin lost though because my work is going to be CRAZY this weekend because we are a block away from the dome. At least all the teams playing will be from far away but I don't think that will make a huge difference. If wisconsin was playing I would hae assumed 75% of the crowd would have been badger fans.

I don't think he should have been allowed to play this year!!

First, you have to actually give me the money first... you haven't paid your entry fee yet and I am going to hold you to it....
Second, why root against me when the other serious contenders are Pete, Dizzle, and Gary Tod???

Yous got sum splaining to do....

dizzle - March 23, 2007 10:34 PM (GMT)
My bracket definitely took a hit last night! Those damn close games really screwed me!!

mania - March 30, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
Dizzle and Sam, after UCLA beat KU and G-Town beat UNC last weekend, GT won the bracket. I am going to pay your parts of his winnings and yall can owe me the 10$.... if I ever see you again.

dizzle - March 30, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
If GT wins it all that doesn't put me up there? I think you need to recheck your figures

samasamiac - April 3, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
Wow. i actually never expected Florida to win it all. I guess I like the fact that they won repeat championships and a Football title in-between. Against Ohio St. again of all things.

To get technical I would say that the game was decided on Florida's great 3-point shooting vs Ohio St.'s horrible 3 shooting. Oden dominated the inside but the guards in blue where JUST TOO SWEEEEEEET!

Ah Man, I don't know how to transfer pictures on this mac.

dizzle - April 3, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Although Oden definitely proved to me that he was a true baller last night, the florida offensive attack was just to relentless. Truly one of the best teams I've seen in a while.
