Well, I never saw the first jackass so I may have missed some important story materail. Ummm... First of all I kind of thought the Jackass TV show was OK, but I can't stand anything Bam Margera has done solo, and I never saw the first movie. However that didn't stop me from having a great time getting trashed and watching this movie. You know what to expect from these guys. You want some crazy shit and they deliver big time. I would say that the only reason this doesn't get a 5 out of 5 is that the re-watch value is pretty low. At least for me, I didn't care to see the stunts a second time. Maybe I will change my mind in a couple of months when I forget exactly how everything happened. But for now Jackass: Number 2 gets a 4.9 out of five. Ahhh what the hell I will give it a 5!
NOw not to get oo preachy or philisophical but I was thinking about this movie after watching it while trying to sleep and I started thinking that things like Jackass are much more a sign of our culture today than other "traditional" entertainment. Let me just say this, today's society is always trying to find the "next" something. They know that Britney spears is "the next Madonna." Who will this years "George Mason" be. We always want to remember something cool in the past and then try to re-create it. Well I was thinking about pop-culture phenomonons that are truelly part of our culture and not just something that somebody is trying to re-create that was popular 1 year ago or 50 years ago. So I came up with this list.
Today's Origional Pop Culture uhhhh Things.
South Park
Jackass
The Daily Show (OK so satiring the news has been around forever but this is certainly one of the biggest pop culture pieces today and it seems like it came "Organicly" from todays culture. And that is the main requirement)
Family Guy
Paris Hilton (Even if you don't like her I think she is a great example of today's pop Culture.)
You should check out the movie Idiocracy sometime sam. Pretty interesting concept of the future. Kind of funny and kind of terrible but worth the watch in my opinion.
I saw idiocracy a couple days ago acutally. Didn't really like it too much but when Dax SHeppard is watching the masterbation channel and someone knocks on his door he delivers a pretty funny line.

Yeah, I actually never even finished the movie but I thought it made an interesting point about the dumbing down of society.
Another funny part is that gatorade replaces water.
