Caught the end of the liverpool game. Those goals were all great.

Man U loses 2-1 in Rome to AS Roma. Not really that bad of a result given they got the ultra important away goal for next week's return leg. Paul Scholes got two yellows in the first 30 minutes and was sent off.... He won't play in next week's clash.
After Roma scored the first goal, there was a much anticipated brawl in the stadium that the Italian Police took into their own hands by beating Man U supports senseless...
Here is a gruesome clip
Baton weilding grease ballsMan U told their traveling fans to be prepared for the Italian hooligans before the match and this is why. Reportedly, after the riot police beat them down, 100 hooligans made a run at the Man U supports with knives, machetes, and chains with padlocks...
And the game...
2-1 Roma

Essien's 90th minute goal pissed me off enormously...
I could not believe how goal after goal hit the corners of the goals and into the back of the net against Roma. What a night at Old Trafford!!!! Carrick's goals were the most brilliant to me....
Semis April 24 & 25
AC Milan vs. Manchester United
Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Predictions???
dizzle - April 13, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
Did you tape that game ben? Definitely didn't get your message until too late.
my prediction- man u. vs. liverpool finals
samasamiac - April 13, 2007 05:53 AM (GMT)
Man, I turned that game on and it was five to zero and second half was just starting so I decided not to watch.
By the way, MLS' thursday night games have started. I watched tonights game and I could only help but notice how much worse it was than the sweet ass UEFA games we have been spoiled with.
June 21st. David Beckam will (most likely) play his first game ever for the LA galaxy. The opponent will CHELSEA! :guitar:

Yeah, I taped the game... and I think we are in the same frequency... a Liverpool vs Man U final would be great. I sincerely dislike Chelsea and AC Milan (Milan reminds me so much of the Italian team at this summer's world cup. Players continually off sides, falling to ground, dramatic as a little girl. I can't stand Inzaghi !!!)
I have been thinking of buying some tickets to see Pickens in goal up in Chicago... possibly for LA Galaxy's visit... Anyone want to go?
MLS Thursday night wasn't bad last night. FC Dallas played a wide open attacking style in LA and pulled off the win. I thought it was very enjoyable game for MLS...
dizzle - April 13, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
I watched bits of that MLS game but on my satellite guide as I was flipping through said it was the Man U. Roma game so when I turned it on and it was MLS I was a tad dissapointed.

Chelsea and Man U will meet in the FA Cup final in May.
They are the only two teams with a chance of winning the Premiereship this season and still have to play each other once more at Stanford Bridge....
They also could possibly meet in the Champions Leage Final in Athens in May as well.
Is this a rivalry or what?

Do you want the tape or something? If not, I am going to tape over it with tonight's 24 episode...
That day, I worked at home so I could watch the games and I sent you that message thinking that the Roma/Man U match was going to be tight and cagey. If I'd known that Man U was going to have their way, I woulda waited to call you...

I guess its not that big of deal. I really wanted to check out the game but I've seen all the goals so its not that big of deal.

i am DEFINATELY down for goint to see Pickens play. I was actually just saying this yesterday before I even read this post. I have been looking for an excuse to go to visit Maddie and that seems like a great one.

Chicago fire home games coming up:
5/17 Thursday: vs FC Dallas (on ESPN2)
5/21 Sunday: vs Real Salt Lake
6/3 Sunday: vs Columbus Crew
6/9 Saturday: vs Chiva USA
I would like to go to the thursday night game on ESPN 2 because it's closest and because we need to fill up the stands and root for Pickens on prime time TV. Any of the other games are fine though. Tickets are 15 to 45 dollars. After looking at all of them I would say they have some pretty good choices for $25. It seems like they would give a good deal for the ESPN game because they want the stands to be full on TV. But I don't know how to shop around for cheaper tickets, so if there is a way then I suggest we do it. Also, would you want to take the Megabus? Probably can't because the stadium isn't actually in Chicago so we will need a car. I am pretty much set on the thursday game but I know you guys have actuall jobs that you can't just take off so if a weekend game is better then I suppose I will do that. Also, I didn't look for any games after 6/21 because I will be going to Chicago then anyway. We could get in one game before the all-star break (7/19) and one after. The season doesn't end till October.

I could be down with a little weekend excursion. We would have to find a way to do it hella cheap because I'm broke.

Rooney nets two and Man U comes back from 2-1 to win at the death 3-2... Great game! Kaka scored two brilliant goals in this one. On the second goal, Kaka recieved the ball from a long pass, headed the ball between two defenders who crashed into each other, and finished the ball into the bottom corner. It was an awesome score....
Chelsea and Liverpool was a really tight clash with one brilliant goal by Joe Cole, set up by the arch villian Drogba. A 1-0 lead for Mourniho´s men will not be enough when they go to Anfield next week.
Champions League football has been the only highlight of this virus I still have... ;)
dizzle - April 27, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
Rooneys one touch goal at the end was an absolutely amazing goal. It's insane that recieved that ball and shot it without even looking at the goal.
Chelsea and Liverpool was a very fun game to watch. So many scoring chances that the 1-0 score doesn't account for. Chelsea is so tough defensively, it is going to be tough for liverpool but I am not losing out hope.
