Night at the museum is a pretty good movie. The writing is pretty good. I think one of the writers is Lt. Dangle. from Reno 911. There are a lot of really funny actors in this movie too. The only "problem" is that it had to be slightly dumbed downed and dulled for the general public and mostly for younger kids. But that being said, this is about as good as it gets as for as Christmas time, family, hollywood blockbuster movies go. (This previous sentence seems to be very strange gramaticly...Oh well)
Ben Stiller, Ricky Gervais (The guy who wrote "The Office" and "Extras") That old short comedian Rooney, and Dick Van Dyke are all pretty damn funny. Oh, and so is Owen wilson and this other guy who is in all his scenes but I don't know his name. So anyways, a lot of funny people make there scenes enjoyable. The parts with the museam coming to life and the family story aren't great but that IS the story so it doesn't slow anything down. THis is a GREAT movie to choose for one of those nights where your little cousins are over and you need a movie for ALL ages. I give it a 4.3 out of five.
that's crazy because I've heard nothing but terrible things about this movie. Although I have no respect for your movie critiquing (or my spelling) skills, I will have to give this one a look.
I wondered if this would be funny in a childish, watch with your cousins, type of way as well. Just because I like to laugh I will check this out sometime...
