Ethan caught up to Taql. The two finally made it inside the colony. They needed transportation in order to get to Zhu's Communion. Ethan took point and began to ask around. They were eventually led to the garage.

Taql looked around the garage and gave off a less then pleased look. The garage was obviously not the best in the area. It was dusty and most of the floor littered with left over parts. "Whatever we get from here Ethan better not explode when I turn that thing on." Taql said folding his arms.

"I'm sure nothing will blow up. Just pick a vehicle and we will be off to Zhu's Communion" Ethan said.

Two men standing in the corner of the garage flinched when Ethan said Zhu's Communion. They both began to move closer to Ethan and Taql.

"Hey Taql, I think we have company." Ethan said. The two men pulled out their assault rifles and opened fire. Ethan drew his pistols and took cover.

Taql without wasting a movement pulled out his shot gun and blasted one of the soldiers clear across the other room. The man that was still alive flinched and started shooting at him and Ethan. Taql rolled behind a small crate that was used to hold some spare parts. He looked over to Ethan as he began trying to see when the man would stop his firing. "So does this come with the territory of hanging out with you Espada's?" Taql said over the gun fire.

"Yeah basically!" Ethan shouted over the gunfire. Ethan jumped out of the cover and tackled the man. Ethan was shot in the shoulder in the process. Ethan punched the guy and knocked away his gun.

"Who are you working for?" Ethan said while punching the guy.

"Ahhhh! Help!!" the guy shouted. Armed guards ran into the room and started shooting at Ethan and Taql.

"What the hell! Is everyone working against us?" Ethan shouted.

Taql saw the armed guards and rolled his eyes as he pulled out his shotgun yet again. "You guys don't know who it is you are dealing with are you?" Taql then charged up his carnage shot as the guards began trying to shoot at him. His cover was getting shot at and he knew it wouldn't last long. When the soldiers were re-loading, Taql got up and saluted the humans. "As you humans say, sayonara." The carnage shot blew out and blasted the guards away. As the smoke cleared Taql went over to Ethan and began patching up his shoulder. "Be careful next time bud, you got that sword for a reason you know." Taql said jokingly.

Ethan checked his shoulder out.

"I don't think those guys were bad. I think they were the garage's guards. We have to be careful. We are not in friendly territory. We can't kill local militias. Let's get out of here quickly. Those two guys we fought knew we were here. The others are probably in trouble too." Ethan said.

Ethan entered a mako and waited for Taql to drive them. There are most likely more enemies along the way.

Taql jumped up and entered the mako without any form of wasted motion. He began flipping every switch he needed to start the vehicle. When he heard the engine start to roar he smiled at himself and looked back at Ethan. "Now can I trust you with that cannon up there Ethan. I have heard of your love with explosive items." Taql said as he began driving out of the garage.

"I think I can handle it." Ethan responded with a smile. The mako took off.

Zhu's Communion was a three hour drive from their current location. After only fifteen minutes of driving on the sky bridge there was a checkpoint. The mako slowed down and several soldiers examined the vehicle. They were allowed through and they continued now going down a spiral turn to the bridge below.

Two makos were at the end of the turn blocking the way. The makos opened fire on Ethan and Taql's mako. Ethan returned fire, but they were outnumbered.

Taql saw the fire coming at them and tried to out manuver the shots. He saw a small ramp and got a pretty good yet bad idea. He looked back at Ethan and then looked at the ramp. He put the engine up to full power and hit the ramp with full force. He then used the boosters to jump over the two other mako tanks. He continued to speed down the road and looked back at Ethan. "Well that was fun wasn't it?" Taql said with a laugh.

"Good job." Ethan told Taql. The mako continued down the bridge. The other two makos tried to give chase, but they had a good lead on them.

The mako that Ethan and Taql were in had suffered a fuel leak during the fight. They pulled the mako over at a mini colony further down the bridge. The checkpoint was still too far.

They left the mako to be repaired and the two of them began to look for information and get supplies while they were waiting. The locals didn't seem to want them there.

Taql looked around and saw all the dirty looks he was recieving from the colonists. He was used to them because of his race but these seemed almost different. "Ethan if I die here I will take you with me." Taql said to Ethan still eyeing all of the colonists that were still giving him dirty looks.

"Ethan if I die here I will take you with me."

"Oh that's real nice of you to say." Ethan replied. Ethan walked around the colony looking at all the different stands set up. There were plenty of illegal weapons and mods here. Ethan was prepared to buy one, but was interrupted by the sound of an explosion.

Ethan ran out to see what was the cause and he spotted he and Taql's mako in flames. The other two makos from before caught up to them. Several men steeped out of the makos and began searching for us.

Ethan talked into a private channel with Taql. "We may have to walk the rest of the way unless you have a better idea."

Taql saw the Mako in a ball of flame and rolled his eyes. He began typing a few buttons on his omnitool and looked over to Ethan with a grin. "I say you should duck right about........." Taql said stopping in mid sentence trying to depict when to move. He then saw the two proton bombs he told Risana at the mako's position and turned back to Ethan. "NOW!!!" Taql said as he rolled out of the way as the makos exploded and a few of the men along with them. After the debris left he saw one man still alive, crawling away. Taql walked up to him and stepped on what looked like a serious burn on his leg. "I got him pinned down Ethan, you ask the questions." Taql said as he twisted his heel on the injured man's leg.

Ethan walked over to the pinned down guy.

"Listen up buddy. I don't know who you are or who hired you and I am sure my comrade here doesn't know you either. Who hired you to kill us?" Ethan asked angrily.

The guys from the other mako were heading this way with the mako behind them plowing through the market place. Ethan grabbed the guy Taql pinned and broke each of his legs. He then picked him up and started running.

"I had to break your legs so you wouldn't run away. You will answer my questions eventually. Taql we are going to head to the bridge again and walk the rest of the way to checkpoint three. It is not that far." Ethan shouted to Taql as they were running.

Ethan made it to the walking path and ran the whole way to the third checkpoint.

Taql saw as Ethan began running and knew what was ahead of him. He began running as fast as he possibly could, but not without heaving for breath. He looked at Ethan and then back at those people who were potentially following them. "You know Ethan," Taql said between breaths. "Turians don't like the cold, and Krogans REALLY hate to run. Did I ever mention that?" Taql said making and irritated face.

Ethan kept running ignoring what Taql said. He looked behind him and didn't see anyone following the krogan. He decided to keep running making Taql think that they were still being chased.

After a half an hour of running Ethan spotted the large gate that was called Checkpoint Three. There was an elevator near the gate so Ethan stopped at the elevator waiting for Taql. The guy Ethan was carrying had been unconscious for quite some time due to the pain of having both his legs broken.

//Message received.
Sender: Tyrus

"Ambushed, has been dealt with. No injuries. Assailant ID'd one David Swarzch as employer. Confirmed presence of David being a member of probable black market ring. Possible collusion in said ring between all three suspect families. Possibility of internal rift between families. Proceed with caution. Exit route secured. Mako inside warehouse B-13, dockside."

Taql recieved the message through his omnitool and punched in a few buttons as he tried to locate the person the message talked about. He located the citizen and gave a small chuckle as he overlooked the data he had recieved. Apparently the man was a convicted black market dealer but was somehow able to pay his way out of being arrested. He handed the info card to Ethan as he overlooked the man on his shoulders. "I would leave him here. He is pretty much dead weight carrying him around like this. Let the medical crews on this checkpoint deal with him." Taql said as he began looking for a new transport without telling Ethan his plans.

"Okay I will leave him here. We all need to regroup once we get to Zhu's Communion though. Taql, where is this guy?" Ethan said.

Ethan placed the guy's body on the elevator floor and pressed up on the elevator's panel. The doors closed and the elevator went up. Ethan began to follow Taql.

Taql went and tried to find the location of that David Swarzch but found that his location was hidden. He growled in frustration and decided to improvise. He looked up the sender of the message and he found the target was moving to a large building in the area ahead of them. He began running to the area and looked back at Ethan. "Come on Ethan, I have a feeling that your friend Tyrus has an idea of where he is." Taql continued running to the area of the marker on his omnitool.

"Okay I'm coming." Ethan shouted back at Taql.

Ethan followed Taql to their next destination. Ethan now had the time to check his omni-tool. Ethan smiled because he knew that the rest of his team were okay and were doing their part. Now he and Taql needed to get this guy.

Taql finally made his way to the building and looked around the area and noticed alot of armed guards. By armed he meant by the teeth. Machine guns, rocket launchers, and some turrets here and there. Taql went wide-eyed and he looked at Ethan. "I hope you have some kind of idea for this kind of mess." Taql said with a serious look on his face.

"I hope you have some kind of idea for this kind of mess."

Ethan had already jumped on top of a nearby crate. He climbed up several crates until he reached the top. He balanced himself on top and pulled out his pistols. He aimed at the group of men and prepared for his attack. Ethan hoped that Taql was ready. Ethan aimed with his pistols and fired his guns immediately killing two men.

Taql followed Ethan and pulled out his shotgun. He watched as Ethan killed the two men in front of him as he turned and saw 3 very armed guards coming their way. He aimed his shot and fired, taking out two of the men. The third took a shot at Taql and it grazed off his leg. He winced a bit at the pain but fired another shot again as he took out the man. He looked down at his leg and turned to Ethan. "Small problem but don't worry, I should get through the mission like this." Taql said as he began running to the nearest wall cover to prepare for any new attackers.

Ethan took cover with Taql. Ethan ran out in the open and fired at the hostile coming towards them. Another group began to head in there direction. All of the armed men seemed to be aware of their position. Ethan went from cover to cover eliminating enemies one at a time. Ethan's guns were working double time.

Several men with rocket launchers aimed at him and fired. Ethan narrowily avoided the rockets, but the explosion knocked his pistols out of his hand. Ethan drew his sword and charged them while they were reloading. He cut them down immediately. Ethan then picked up one of the rockets and loaded it.

Taql watched wide-eyed as he saw Ethan loaded up the rocket launcher. He looked at the men coming at them and shook his head. He began shooting his shotgun at the enemies and looked back at Ethan. "Load it up fast and that way we can end this thing once and for all already!" Taql said as he began taking fire from the guards.

Ethan knew that Taql's kinetic shields wouldn't protect him for long. He finished loading up the rocket and pulled the trigger. The rocket was jammed. Ethan kept hitting the laucher, but nothing worked.

Ethan pulled the rocket out of the launcher and threw it at the men attacking Taql. Ethan threw his sword at it and with his sword's ability the energy disturbed the rocket causing it to explode killing most of the enemies. Ethan's sword flew towards a wall and got stuck to the wall.

Taql saw the rocket explode and saw the blade get stuck in the wall. He saw two men still alive and he decided to go for the sword. He was running as he pulled out his shotgun and shot two shots. One hit the mark right in the gut, killing the man. The second one only hit the man in the shoulder and the man shot back at Taql. It hit him in the shoulder, as he cringed in pain for a moment as he shot another shot. This one finally killed the man. Taql then pulled the sword out and began walking back to Ethan. "You should take care of this a bit better." Taql said, not showing pain on his face.

Ethan ran over and took the sword from Taql. One of Ethan's eyes had turned red.

"Thanks, but my sword takes care of itself. Let's go. We need to get moving." Ethan said with a serious tone. Ethan waited for taql to take point. Ethan picked up a tsunami rifle and several grenades.

Taql hid behind a wall near his postion and prepared to reload his gun when he noticed something. His gun wouldn't reload! The damn thing was jammed! He began pressing every button he could to get the gun to work and looked to Ethan. "This damn thing is jammed! Cover me til I fix this thing!" Taql screamed as he continued to mess around with the gun.

"This damn thing is jammed! Cover me til I fix this thing!"

Ethan turned his head to Taql.

"Fine, but hurry up." Ethan said impatiently. Ethan stood still and suddenly his chest seemed to have blown up on the right side. Ethan collapsed on the floor clutching his chest. There was a bullet hole where his lungs were. Ethan couldn't breathe and was slowly dying.

The sniper was on top of the roof. The woman shot at Taql.

Taql saw Ethan get blown backwards from the bullet and saw that he was next on the snipers list. He looked and prepared to use his throw ability. The woman was shooting alot faster then a normal sniper would have. Once he was her gun overheated, he used his throw and she sailed off the roof and to his knowledge fell to her death. He rushed over to Ethan and dragged him to some cover. He then began applying some medi-gel on the wound and hoped it would help.

Ethan lost consciousness. Ethan entered a dream state.

[In Dream](This is what we call psychological character development)

He found himself in a dark area. Ethan began to walk around. Ethan saw that the more he walked the darker it got. He started to walk backwards, but it still kept getting darker. Ethan began to think. He suddenly heard a noise. Ethan looked around, but saw noone. The room turned dark red and blinded Ethan. Ethan felt his face and there was blood dripping from his eyes. Ethan screamed and collapsed from fear.

[End Dream]

Ethan woke up and saw Taql treating his wound with omnigel. Luckily the bullet didn't get stuck in Ethan.

Taql saw that Ethan was finally waking and he smiled. "Well at least we won't have a body count to worry about right?" Taql said jokingly. He pulled out his shotgun, which he had finally fixed and began to blind fire at the incoming enemies. "You think you can still fight or should we back off for the time being?" Taql asked Ethan while still blindly firing.

Ethan got up from the floor. His wound would need time to heal, but he knew what was at stack here.

"We have to continue. We need to get this guy now." Ethan replied.

Ethan picked up the rifle he dropped and shouldered it. He took point.

Taql shrugged as he saw the man continue in his mission. 'The boy is determined I will give him that.' Taql said to himself as he started shooting at the enemies again.

Ethan and Taql moved swiftly through the building. Most of the hostiles were killed. They were still looking for their target.

Ethan spotted a door at the other side of the room. Ethan walked over and readied himself for anything. A varren suddenly ran from a corner and jumped on Ethan. Several more varrens were released from their cages and they began to attack Ethan.

Taql was shooting at his enemies and suddenly recieved a message from one of the Espada members. It was a video stream and he looked at it as Ethan kept shooting. He saw the clones of their target and began to growl. "This is all a set up Ethan!" Taql screamed as he blindly fired at the guards. "All these guys are clones! The real David probably isn't even here!"

"Great. I'll deal with these varrens." Ethan said.

Ethan pulled out his sword and cut down a few of the beasts. He threw an incendiary grenade and was able to keep the guards and the varrens away from them.

"Taql, we have to head straight to Zhu's Communion. No more pit stops." Ethan ordered.

Ethan bolted out of the building.
