Yep, I'm back from the grave, the move has gone without a hitch, I start at my new job tomorrow afternoon, and TK and I broke up... for now..
To pass my spare time, some of you might remember a little ol' place called
Floodgate, I've been working off and on to perfect little tidbits for the members' enjoyment.
Just today I modified the user ranks to be exactly like the Ranks you receive in Matchmaking for Halo 3. Took a couple of hours to work out the EXP levels but the result was pretty sweet. We now have our own WORKING Rank system.
I don't know how many other sites apart from b.net that might use this (or have ever), so I was pretty stoked that it actually worked!
Right now Role Play is only happening in one or two threads but thus far they're very high quality chunks of literature.
The admin (TheKeeper, Polar and Floodspore/myself) are friendly and pretty easy to talk to. The NPC Moderators aren't so easy.. Admiral Hitchcock, least so.. but I think that the site overall just needs a little more member participation... and more members mean more jobs available in the future.
