Kate's story began in a somewhat illegal genetic research laboratory, when the team of scientists there managed to merge a sample of human dna with that of a cat's. The result grew into what looked like a human, but with catlike ears and a tail.
Initial tests showed that she had slightly faster reactions, better balance and better night vision than an ordinary human being. A resounding success, in terms of thier objectives, and the Scientists proceeded to upload a mind comprised of information from Library archives, taboo 'laws' and parts based on AIs 'emotions.' The end result was as near a human's mind as makes no differance, and 'Kate' as the scientists had nick-named her was born.
Soon afterwards, A Spectre broke into the facility, and arrested the scientists, but didn't find Kate's life support machine, due to them hiding it before his arrival. Alone, Kate was disconnected by the computer, and for the first time was truly alive.
Appearance: For the most part, Kate looks like a ordinary human being, of about average height and build, and shoulder length brown hair. However, protuding out of said hair are two cat ears, with something like a cheetah pattern on them, and also on her tail. The spots (not the colour) are also around the edges of her face, and on her arms and legs.
Personality: Naturally curious, but has a rather cynical edge to her.
