Personality: Easygoing. Meghan likes good company, but is very much one who sticks to the rules. Compassionate and clear-headed. Despite her friendly nature, she doesn’t completely trust the Council’s leaders to ‘do the right thing’ due to the second Elysium tragedy. She hopes that the new Human Councillor will make a difference in the future, but isn’t completely confident.

Biography: Meghan grew up on Elysium, a child of Staff Commander Emily Trius and Dr Adam Kirk, both of whom served in the Alliance Military. Dr Kirk took a post on Elysium in order to provide a stable home for the young Meghan, and although she is on good terms with her mother, she is undoubtedly closer to her father.

Despite the Skyllian Blitz, Dr Kirk chose to remain on Elysium and help with the restoration of the world, taking the view that ‘lightning never strikes twice.’ He rejoined the Alliance Military when Meghan was 18.

In high school, Meghan demonstrated a knack for handling an Omni-Tool. She joined the Alliance Military at the age of 20 as a simple Engineer, but when taking part in some rudimentary combat training, her superiors recognised a gift for marksmanship that soon saw her enrolled in Infiltrator training.

Her early life in the military was unremarkable. All the ships with which she served were full of praise for the young woman and her skills, and she received a few promotions, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Meghan was on shore leave at home when the Geth attacked Elysium. Immediately she went to the aid of the Alliance, joining one of the ground teams. When the commanding officer of her ground team was injured, Lieutenant Commander Vantil, Meghan found the leadership of the team fall to her.

Meghan kept the rest of the team together, displaying a clear head as well as natural leadership skills that prevented further casualties. She managed to get to a ship and, probably due to the skill of her pilot more than anything else, succeeded in getting through the blockade alive. The injured Vantil was full of praise for her afterwards and gave her a special commendation.

Having saved the life of the well-respected Vantil, and with a special commendation under her belt, Meghan’s COs started to take more interested in her career. She started to rise through the ranks quickly, reaching 1st Lieutenant by the age of 27.

She still has not regained full trust in the Citadel Council. However, she is not sympathetic to the cause of Terra Firma, either.
