Biography:
Alisha Khan was born in Armstrong on Luna to children of some of the early settlers of Earth's only moon. Growing up with three brothers and a strict father, she quickly grew to be something of a tomboy, and she was generally exempt from bullying until her teen years due to being able to beat the snot out of almost all of her classmates. This talent didn't help her through high school, though, and as a result of the discomfort she experienced as a social misfit, she only barely managed to avoid failing. As soon as she was able, she joined the Systems Alliance Marine Corps, having always been fascinated with military life and the prospect of adventure.
Having had her self-esteem dented throughout her teen years, she was quickly relieved to find that her tomboyish nature was welcome, and she quickly grew into a rythm of social interaction with her male-dominated platoon.
As a soldier, she was noted as being one of the best recruits, though not the best. Coupled with an interest in meeting alien species, she turned out to be a very agreeable and loyal soldier. She dreams of one day being able to attend Officer Candidates School and rise in the military hierarchy. Her personal heroes include military idols such as Commander Shepard.
She served briefly in the Civil War, and despite not seeing much action, she made it to Corporal and learned to appreciate the seriousness of her job, seeing a soldier from her own platoon being crippled for life by a sniper shot to the leg. Personally, she was lucky enough to sustain only a minor concussion as far as injuries went.
Having expected that her first war would be against aliens, the Civil War also removed any "us and them" feeling she had towards extra-terrestrials, since she learned that humans could be just as insidious enemies. If anything, it has made her feel less attached to humanity, and more to only the Systems Alliance.
Since military life takes up most of her time, she doesn't have anything that would qualify as a hobby, though she shows some interest in music. She also reads quite a bit, something which led to a number of regrettable sleepless nights in boot camp.
Appearance (I added this one myself because I found it necessary/just felt like it):
Alisha stands at 180 centimetres, and has a rather muscular build. This doesn't entirely take away her female appearance, though she doesn't make the most of that, as she rarely bothers to wear make-up or almost any other sort of self-beautification, even at most formal events. She has tan skin and black hair in a crew cut, brown eyes and a somewhat characteristic nose. Though one wouldn't place her as "beautiful", she is hardly ugly.
When she's not in uniform, which is a rare occurrence, she generally wears male clothing, though only to a point where it's comfortable.
(PS: I know this doesn't look promising at all, but I've been suffering from writer's block for the past two months. And I know it's writer's block and not just me being a poor writer for reasons I'll explain if anyone cares enough to ask.)
