Description: A large forest moon, Arachna Beta is in orbit around a Gas giant, which keeps its surface heated to livable tempertures.

Colonists live in several largescale walled compounds outside of mining areas, for protection against pirates and raiders. There is a network of supply trains that link the compounds. These compounds are officially controlled by the Human Corperation Stanton-MacDonald Industries (S-Mac,) and lead by company executive Miles Hoffman. They have their own security garrison, and do not actively involve themselves with the Alliance Military.

Other than the inevitable pirate inhabitants, it is rumoured that their are large, insect-like creatures living deep into the unexplored jungles.

It has been rumoured that there has been Geth activity in the area, but Alliance officials have not heard any actual reports from S-Mac.
