Title: C-Sec Academy

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 04:03 AM (GMT)
Angrily Henarin Geroves sat there at his desk, filing what seemed to be an endless supply of paper work. “Damn rebel!” he whispered under his breath, cursing every file that found its way to his deck. “Damn Quarian” he again whispered as yet another pile of files made its way onto his desk.

As soon as the pile hit down on his desk, he dropped his pen and leaned back into his chair, he raised his hands up and covered his face and deeply sighed in dissatisfaction of what had just plopped itself down on his desk.

He was tired and annoyed at the same time. “What a day!” he whispered through his hands.

ignatius - January 31, 2008 04:10 AM (GMT)
Ferren Olarius walked into Henarin's office, equally upset. Yet the younger Turian's concerns were slightly less frustrating. Ferren's troubles centered around the mountain of paperwork he just finished filling out to finalize his acceptance into C-Sec. He was presenting those exact papers when he heard his new superior cursing from outside the door. Time to make a diplomatic approach, thought Ferren.

"Sir, papers' are all completed. I'm ready to go at your whim. Shall we finish my training?" Ferren inquired.

The new C-Sec recruit's trigger finger was itching to pull its favored trigger on its favored gun, his trusty Assault Rifle. While eager and willing, he knew he had to take it slow and be patient. He wouldn't lose this job to insubordination too.

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 04:21 AM (GMT)
With a sigh, Henarin, opened his figer and stared out at Ferren. With a slight grr, he sit on the edge of his chair thought for a few moments on what Ferren had said. "Alright, to hell with this paper work, someone younger can deal with this." he replied as he raised himself out of his seat and streatched his stiff body.

"Now..." he paused for a seconed. "hmmm, What would be a great way to finish your training." he raised up his hand to his chin and began to think some more.

Suddenly there was a ding over the comm link and a voice took its place, "Sir, there is a desturbance taking place just in Chora's Den."

"Alright." he replied back.

"Well, I quess we have the anwser." he said with a grin.

ignatius - January 31, 2008 04:28 AM (GMT)
Ferren mirrored his superior's smile. A trial by fire was exactly what he was lusting for.

"Give me one minute to gear up, and I'll be ready to go," said Ferren.

He nodded to Henarin, a sign of respect, and left the room. As he made his way to his locker, Ferren began to have slow, creeping flashbacks of a former life...

"--No, wait, don't leave me brother! I'm not ready yet!"

"--You had best hurry. The transport to academy will be leaving soon. Come now young one, you know our driver waits for no one."

"-- I'm coming."

Ferren shook the feeling away. Memories only hinder the mind, make you lose focus, he thought. He donned his armor, checked his amplifier, and loaded his weapons. Time to live in the present, he thought. He returned to his superior, signaling that he was ready.

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 04:36 AM (GMT)
Henarin nodded back at Ferren as the fellow C-Sec officer walked out of his office. He stood there for a few moments, suddenly he twisted his head, cracking his neck. "Ahhh that felt good!" he signed out in relief.

As he walked back to grab his gear, he continued the stretch, and each time, it felt refershing. "Damn, paper work sucks." he though to himself as he holstered his pistol and straped his carbine to his back.

When he turned around Ferren was just walking into his officer, "Well," he paused for a moment. "Hopfully this will be an easy trip." he said with a grin as he looked back as Ferren.

ignatius - January 31, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
"I think it will be, Sir. I've certainly handled my fair share of bar fights at the Den. And that was without a big gun." Ferren's words were confident, yet slightly shaky. He knew he wasn't invincible.

After his superior was ready, the two headed for the door and started down toward the rapid transit area. As the car approached, the two shared a strong silence. After entering, Ferren had to ask.

"So, it should be easy, right?"

Henarin responded with a blank stare and a cold silence, nothing too comforting.

Henarin responded with a blank stare and a cold silence, nothing too comforting.

"Bah." he said with a chuckle. "I dont know that it is, but its most likely some drunk with a bad attitude."

Moments later they where both in the elevator and on there way down to the sublevels where they would make there way to Chora's Den.

ignatius - January 31, 2008 05:53 AM (GMT)
As the elevator came to a stop, Ferren and his superior stepped out and strode towards the holding cells, ready to process the perp and get a good night's sleep. Ferren himself was excited to pass his test and be finished with training.

They arrived at the cells and lay the human down on the bed. After a fingerprint and a DNA swab, they locked the cell door and the two Turians walked to the offices, where Ferren's superior would hand him his final evaluation, hopefully his badge, and his first assignment. He prayed for some excitement. They arrived, and Ferren held his breath, eager to hear good news.

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 06:25 AM (GMT)
The two Turians walked back into the familiar office, Ferren stood in the middle of the room and Henaris took a seat in his chair. Quietly he leaned back in his chair and kick his feet up on his desk, he staired back at Ferren as he stood there.

He rocked back and forth on his chair for a few moments then raised down of his hands and rested them on the back of his head. Henaris grumbed to himself quietly, with a loud sniff, he reached down and opened a draw.

His head moved back and forth inside the draw, and ever few moment he looked bakc up a Ferren. In one quick lob, he tossed a badge at Ferren, who quickly caught it. "You did a great job out there, kept it clear, no one got hurt." he paused for a seconed to think. "You earned it..."

"Now..." Henaris started as he took down his feet from the deck, rested his elbow on the table, and brought his hands against his mouth. "a mission, well..." he sighed "there isnt anything I can give you right now other then being my pardner. Nothing really big, partols in the Wards and Presidium, and detective work... Other then that, nothing really, other then paper work..."

atomic_situp - January 31, 2008 08:09 AM (GMT)
"CAN I GET SOME WATER IN HERE?!?!" yelled the perpetrator interrupting the conversation in the offices...

He laid back down on his stiff, moldy cot that was spotted with old urine and blood stains from the worthless criminals jailed there so often.
'You'd think they would keep this place clean considering the REST of the academy is spotless. This is inhumane,' he thought to himself.

Shifting from side to side to find a better position to ease into, he thought about his life on the Citadel before his drunken downward spiral....

...He was Patrick Edward Johnson III with a beautiful young wife, Elaina, who had long auburn hair and brilliant green eyes and two children ages 4 and 6, both boys. Their names were Joshua Aaron Johnson and Patrick Edward Johnson IV respectively. Joshua, Jay-jay for short, and Patrick, also 'Ped', were his life. He had moved to the citadel with his wife who was pregnant promising a prosperous future, promising alien riches unimaginable, and finding a stable place in the vicinity of other humans to settle down and raise a family. Everything was perfect until last week...

Patrick shifted on his cot again, this time facing plasti-glass cylindrical barriers erected vertically 3 inches in diameter and 8 feet high, spaced out 2 inches apart from one another in a fashion similar to an old western prison cell from a 1950's cowboy movie set. He raised his left arm to wipe the sweat from his brow and looked absently at the wall. 'Man they need some climate control in here,' he thought. 'Yet another tactic they use to keep us feeling uncomfortable. If only I had a Salarian lawyer...'

ignatius - January 31, 2008 01:59 PM (GMT)
Ferren heard the yelling from the cells, and shouted back, "You'll get water when you start sobering up!"

"Proud to be with you, Sir," Ferren turned to his new commanding officer. "Any leads at the moment?"

They paused, hearing the inmate wailing from the cell.

"I had better see to that," said Ferren.

Wanting to impress his superior with work ethic, Ferren made his way back to the cells in order to find out more about the perp, and in turn, shut him up.

"Name?" he asked, handing the human a glass of water.

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 02:14 PM (GMT)
"Proud to be with you, Sir,"

"Good to have you." He watched as Ferren left to tend to the upset perp., so Henaris lifted himself out of his chair and followed. Henaris stood behind and watched as Ferren spoke with the now awakened man. "Hes just a drunk, you dont need so direct." he said to Ferren as he walked up next to him.

He then directed the conversation back to the perp. "Please awnser the question, we need all the information we can get to call family or any reletives." Henaris said in a kindly manner towards the perp, hoping this would smoothen out easily.

atomic_situp - January 31, 2008 09:17 PM (GMT)
"Pat's the name. You guys really need to clean this mess up."

He stretched his legs, swiveling his feet from the cot to the ground, as he sat up. His eyes watered and he rubbed them. 'Man, this is a bad situation. I wonder if they have any idea what went down in Chora's Den before they decided to pick me up,' he thought.

He stood up, stretched, and walked a couple feet over to the plasti-glass bars.

"Look officer I didn't do anything wrong. Some jerk was a little drunk, pushed me, and since I was having a bad day... well, a bad week... I pushed him back. Then it escalated. That's it! Nothing big. So how about you guys let me go huh?" He let out a drunken hiccup...

ignatius - January 31, 2008 09:27 PM (GMT)
"I got this one, Sir," Ferren told Henaris.

"Pat, is it? While you were napping there, Human, we managed to get your prints and Identification Card. Sorry for any inconvenience," Ferren said sarcastically, "but you're gonna have to stay here for the night. You get one phone call. I suggest you use it."

Ferren again turned to his superior. The Turian's eyes were strained and his face seemed lifeless.

"Sir, you look like you could use some rest. I'll finish dealing with this prisoner. Take a quick nap. When I'm finished, I'll come get you in your office and we'll begin our first day."

Ferren's words were comforting and reassuring, making sure to let the other Turian know that he wouldn't be long, but was concerned with Henaris' health.

A Quarian - January 31, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
"Sir, you look like you could use some rest. I'll finish dealing with this prisoner. Take a quick nap. When I'm finished, I'll come get you in your office and we'll begin our first day."

As soon as Ferren mentioned it, Henaris suddenly began to feel tired, slowly he raised his hand up to his face and began to pull down with a loud tired sign. "I guess thats what you get for working double shift." he said with a grin as he replied to Ferren's comment.

"You sure that you have everything?" Ferren nodded and Henaris droped the subject. "Alright, Ill be in my office taking twenty winks." he turned around and began to walk back but stoped, without turning around he said "Shout for me if you need anything." With that he continued walking back to his office.

When he reached his desk, he let out yet another loud sigh, he sat down in his chair, kicked up his feets, crossed his arms, and closed his eyes, hoping to gain some rest from the past few days.

ignatius - February 1, 2008 01:29 AM (GMT)
"Thank you, Sir." Ferren nodded to his superior as he left. Then he turned back to his captive human. Time to get his side of the story.

Ferren slowly approached the cell.
"Alright, 'Pat', tell me: what were you doing before you arrived at Chora's Den? And when you arrived, tell me all about the argue and what possessed you to take a swing at a C-Sec officer?"

Ferren awaited the human's reply. He was hoping for a lie. Further interrogation may be required...

atomic_situp - February 2, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
A look of astonishment sprung onto Pat's face. "C-Sec officer???!? That unshaven, smelly jerk? He was arguing with this woman... she looked like a dancer from the VIP section... you know the area where all the big fish throw large sums of credits down for beautiful women? Well this one had a scar and looked like she was on her way out of work at the club if you know what I mean. Anyways, he took her into the back room and left without her. Then he pushed me because I was standing in his way, so I pushed him back. Then he swung and I swung back. That's it, officer. I swear. I didn't know he was C-Sec."

That makes sense. No wonder everyone tried to steer clear of him. Pat looked around real quick and leaned forward as if to whisper in Ferren's ear, "Look, I've been an upstanding guy until just recently. My wife and two kids were killed by a Krogan bounty hunter last week when they were in his line of fire within the Financial district. I never drink, ever. I'm just trying to cope with the loss. Please let me go." And if I ever find that Krogan bounty hunter and the person who hired him, I will definitely put a couple bullets in them center mass.

((OOC: Hey dood, I'm glad you're participating! However, if you could make a character sheet for the guy you're roleplaying now, that would be awesome. check the character section for guidelines. The reason why we ask this is so that everyone will know that this guy is yours and yours alone, and so we can approve his backstory. You can send me a personal message with any questions. Thanks and have fun!))

Ferren frowned at the pleading human, remembering a similar swing being taken at himself. He brushed away the thoughts.

"Well, human, your record is clean. I am sorry to hear about your family. You will be charged a small 50 credit fine for disturbing the peace, but once you pay that, you are free to leave." Ferren paused. "Any chance you have it on you now? I'd like this to be as painless as possible."

Ferren waited for the human's response uneasily, hoping to be done with this petty matter so he could wake his superior and continue with more pressing issues. Also, this human looked like he needed to get out.

atomic_situp - February 2, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
Pat reached behind him into his back right pocket and discovered his wallet was missing. Shit. He looked around to see if he dropped it.

"Unfortunately, I don't have my wallet and my omni-tool is broken. There is no way for me to give you the 50 credits. I'm good for it though. I own a major business and have multiple contracts with the Alliance Navy. If you let me call them I'll get the money sent over to C-Sec's account ASAP."

Pat held his breath wondering if the officer would let him make the call. I bet they get all kinds of assholes in here saying they're important. This guy looks new, but he is turian. I wonder if he's a xenophobe. If I was him, I wouldn't trust me... He listened a bit. He heard a small shuffle in the office down the hall.

ignatius - February 2, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
"Alright, human, make the call." Ferren popped open the cell door.

After leading him to the phone, Pat made the call and had the funds transferred.

"Very well, you are free to go," Ferren said. "And remember to keep a cool head."

Ferren wrapped up his first arrest and quickly finished the paperwork. After setting down the papers, he headed back to the offices to wake his superior. Henarin was sleeping soundly in his chair. Ferren hoped he was a light sleeper.

"Sir! Ready?" Ferren shouted.

A Quarian - February 3, 2008 12:16 AM (GMT)
"Sir! Ready?"

The sudden shouting voice caused Henaris to jump in his chair as he slept, with the loud sniff, he opened his eyes to find Ferren standing there. "Damn" he started as he began to stretch back in his chair. "Your not that good at wake up call." He said with a tired chuckle.

He cocked his head and there was a loud crack, Henaris signed in relief. He took his feet down from the desk and sat there. After a few more moments of stretching he slid his chair back into his deck rested his arms on its hard fierce then staired back up at Ferren.

"So, how did it go with the Prep? You get everything done?"

Central - February 3, 2008 12:39 AM (GMT)
An officer dragged in a pair of yonger males, one a turian, the other a human, shoving them into the academy. The officer grunted, looking to the door, saying to the other officers in the room "Found these two, they're buddies with whoever pulled that stunt a few weeks back and got that alliance guy out of holding - careful, they're hackers. And their friend is no doubt still on the loose" The officer left, having to go back on his beat, or just not willing to deal with the two. The Turian looked up, and frowned, his mouth-bits twitching "I would've though he would've taken us to C-sec..."
The human looked over "Probably dumping us on some rookie cop to take us there. Lazy bastard"

ignatius - February 3, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
Ferren stroked his face in his complacency. He smiled at the fugitives, realizing that his job for the night wasn't quite over.

"Well gentlemen, unfortunately for both of you, I'm not ready to deal with you tonight. So here's how its going to work: I will escort you to the cell, and you will stay there the evening, and when I feel like it, I'll book you. Let's go."

After leading them to the cell and making sure they were securely tucked away, he returned to Henaris and smiled.

"Looks like everything went well," Ferren began. "I'll be booking those two in the morning. For now, let's begin work, sir. I'm itching to get into the thick of the job."

Central - February 3, 2008 02:14 AM (GMT)
Kekken looked over at Tonda "You got your kit?" he tapped his arm, showing that the officer had found his.
"Yeah, the lazy fool didn't check everywhere." Tonda bent down, sliding his fingers in-between the fabric of his boot, pulling out a small kit. The two got to work, pulling a panel off the wall, searching out wires, beginning to tamper to try and get the door open.

A Quarian - February 3, 2008 08:18 AM (GMT)
"I'll be booking those two in the morning. For now, let's begin work, sir. I'm itching to get into the thick of the job."

"You want get the thick of it, eh?" Henaris said with a raised brow.

"Well, because at this late hour, we are off patrol and off in ever other aspect except for one thing..." he paused for a second, letting his works sink into Ferren's mind. Henaris could tell Ferren was getting excited at what his supervisor was saying.

"Now, We do paperwork..." Henaris said in a lowly tone, he wasn’t excited about it either, but it’s what had to be done.

"Now just remember, this isnt training anymore, this is a real deal! Back in the academy when you where still raw, it was all fun and games, now here, fun is my supervisors giving us paperwork." Though Henaris himself was depressed about it, he still took is seriously.

"We still are on call, but right now our main job it to get this..." he reached over to a pile of papers and slammed down on it hard with his hand "Done!"

"So while we are at this, you get that paper work on those two done so we can finish this and have enough time to take a well earned brake."

ignatius - February 3, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
Ferren rolled his eyes as best as a Turien can. He sat down in a chair next to his superior and began the paperwork. He prayed silently for something exciting to occur. Why can't someone just attack the Citadel? That would be exciting.

A Quarian - February 4, 2008 05:12 AM (GMT)
"Ah, shit." Henaris whispered to himself when he came across one form he didnt like. "Property damages. Well, this is going to be a long and stressful night." he said to Ferren with great dirpleasure in it.

He slaped the paper down on his deck, reached for his pen, and started to write when suddenly the alarms started blaring. "The Citadel is under attack! All C-Sec members report in!"

"Get your gear ready!" Henaris shouted to Ferren, "We are at full alert!"

With that said Henaris kick his chair back and ran to his locker in his office.

((Continued in the Citadel Invasion))

ignatius - February 4, 2008 06:04 AM (GMT)
What are the odds? Ferren thought this as he rushed to grab his gear and begin to question his possible psychic powers. Brushing all that aside, he focused on calming his nerve and readying himself for the coming trials. After all, it wasn't everyday that the Citadel is attacked.

He met Henaris back at the office. The look on his face suggested that he had just reported in, and that they had received an assignment. Ferren hoped for something big.
