Title: Aboard the Bishop

(((Continued from Liandri Headquarters)))

Isaac paced back and fourth inside of the Bishop, wondering if he could handle the giant bomb that was dropped on him just a few days ago.

"I know where you are..." Rear Admiral Bryant's voice rang throughout his head, again and again.

"Commander, are you okay?" It was Coal, walking to Isaac's side.

"Uh... yeah," Isaac managed to blurt out. "Well... no," Isaac said, truthfully.

"Do you think we're off the hook?" Coal asked Isaac, nervously.

Isaac looked up at the ship's ceiling and shook his head. "Of course not."

It was then that the communicator Isaac had stored in his pocket began to ring again. Isaac bit his lower lip and answered it. Then he mustered up his courage and shouted into the communicator.

"Listen, you son of a bitch, I'm not going to sit idly by as you try to take me down. Do you understand?" Isaac said, in a menacing tone. "You can bring the whole damn Alliance fleet with you. If you're going to take me out, then dammit, do it already."

"I'm not bringing anyone else," Rear Admiral Bryant replied through the communicator, calmly. "I'm going to take care of you myself. Justice will be served." And with that, Rear Admiral Bryant shut his communicator off.

Isaac punched the wall in anger. "Dammit, Cortez, lock on to this signal!" Isaac shouted, throwing the communicator to Cortez.

Cortez shook his head in confusion. "Like I know how to do that!" Cortez shot back, before handing the communicator to RP7.

RP7 held the communicator above his head and continuously made a beeping noise before it back to Isaac. "Statement: It appears that he is heading our way."

Isaac held his hand to his forehead in disbelief. Then he took the communicator and pushed one of the buttons to contact Liandri HQ. "Kane... we need to talk."

All Isaac received was the terrible noise of static coming from the communicator. He had no signal on the other side. Isaac put the communicator away and sighed, hoping that Kane would somehow open a comm link with him.

"No luck?" Coal asked, solemnly.

"Yeah. No luck," Isaac replied, looking out of the ship's window to the vast darkness of space.
