Title: Citadel Forward Assault Base

The Voltaire pulled out of the Relay system, and John look out the view port, surprised. They were still in the Serpent cluster. Against the bright purple back drop, a space station was visible, floating stagnant in the vacuum, tiny as it was. Only a few ships could be seen docked, including the Destiny-Ascension, which dwarfed the station by quite a margin, as well as a few small jet-black ships that could hardly be made out.

The Voltaire glided down towards the station and landed on the top of the station, near the small black ships. As the shore party left the ship, they could be seen in greater detail. They were sleek, with no visible hard points for weapons to be mounted.

The Council was there, on the docks to greet them with, all looking very stressed and shaken. Without a hello, Delusio motioned for John to get in the nearest black ship, which had an open hatch with a ramp for boarding.

"There's not much time. Get your team on the ship and we'll give you further-" he said, but was cut off as the 3 other ships' engines started roaring. The team all hurried up the ramp and into the ship, eager to escape the incredible noise.

The noise dulled to a quiet rumble as the hatch closed. The ship was cramped, with the entire team inside, but there wasn't time to complain as the Councilor appeared on a hologram at the back of the ship.

"You're all in one of the 4 fastest ships ever designed. They're prototypes, and with them you will be able to get back to the citadel without the Mass Relays. The ships have an AI designed to terminate itself on arrival at the Citadel, so don't worry about maneuvering through the cluster yourself."

The hologram dissipated, and the ship shook as it blasted away from the station at incomprehensible speeds.
