Title: Prothean Ship
Description: Saving the Citadel
Tsunami - February 22, 2008 03:58 PM (GMT)

((Thank drogmir for the pic.))
Asanagi stepped onto the ship. It was earily quiet. He checked his suit for the readings on the outside atmoshpere. There was gravity, barely enough O2 to support life. That made the first objectives turn the ship on, turn on one of the engines to divert it and get the atmosphere systems going. "Alright people, job one is to get the generator working. Science team alpha, head to the O2 generator and do what you can. science teams beta and gamma, spread out and see what you can do. Maintenance teams alpha and beta, get this thing started, gamma, head to one of the engines. Everyone else, spread out.".
Athena - February 22, 2008 04:26 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu entered the clearly detrimental environment with practiced ease.
'Well, I HAVE been in worse situations.' she thought as she made her way into the ship, as per Asanagi's command.
She had no detailed skill with machinery, so the engines and the control rooms were off limits. However, one thing they were supposed to be looking for was 'new' technology. Given the situation at the Citadel, what better thing to do than to look for new weapons technology, maybe in an armory?
'Well, if nothing else, it might give me an edge in my duties.' she thought as she worked her way through the ship in an attempt to stumble across something that could be considered an armory.
Tsunami - February 23, 2008 04:38 AM (GMT)
Asanagi ran into what appeared to be the bridge. there was no crew and only a couple screens flickering. He turned on his comm. "Alright, I think I've found the bridge, anything else worth noting?"
"This is maintenance team Alpha. We should have the generator up in about an hour."
"This is Science team Alpha, We've located the O2 generator. Once power is on we should only take a couple minutes."
This is Maintenace team Gamma. We've reached the port engine. Everything seems in working order. We're headed for the starboard side."
"Science team Gamma, we think there's some sort of archive here. Once online we should understand what happened."
Asanagi grinned, things were going much better than expected. "Good work people. Vyrchu, anything?".
Athena - February 23, 2008 05:33 AM (GMT)
Vyrchu eventually stumbled across a medium sized room, and looking inside she saw what she thought to be firearms, though in all honesty she did not know what they were. She entered the room and saw that it was some semblance of an armory, but some of the weapons were just plain... odd. There were things that resembled the 'modern' assault rifles, pistols, shotguns, and sniper rifles, but there were also things that she didn't recognize.
She took a good look at several of the weapons... but upon close inspection noted that, while the appearance was different, they all looked to function in the same manner.
'Well, what did you expect? Every modern weapon is based off of the Prothean's designs.' Vyrchu thought, sighing as she moved from one different-but-similar weapon to the next 'Even the grenades are similar! Hell, some of this stuff is outdated by our standards!'
"Vyrchu, anything?" Asanagi's voice called over the com.
"I found an armory, but all the weapons are the predecessors to our modern technology. They will bring us no real advantage." Vyrchu stated as she left the area, but not before noticing something out of the corner of her eye.
It seemed to be a vial of... something. Inside it was something silver and... liquid-esque. It was like mercury at room temperature, despite the fact that it was clearly colder than that on the ship... without the life support systems up an running anyway.
'I wonder what this is...' Vyrchu thought as she looked at the liquid, knowing better than to touch it.
(Tsunami, I would ask that you bring up the life support, then after that, you have a brief 'burst' of energy with the engine that rocks the ship. I have something interesting planned for my character. ^_^)
Tsunami - February 23, 2008 04:37 PM (GMT)
Asanagi sighed. Obviously weapons weren't a major concern for these people but that wasn't important. After about an hour the generator came on. The ship came to life, almost as if it was set up so everything would work once it came on. As life support and the like came on, the port engine activated in a burst, rotating the ship about 15 degrees, the ship shook, sending everyone to the ground. Asanagi swore.
"I want a report NOW! What the hell just happened?" Asanagi called.
"Maintenance team alpha. We think it may have been set up this way before whatever happened went on."
"Damn it. Vyrchu, you were in an armory, are you ok?".
James Avian - February 23, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
((Could I join this? I'd the pilot of the Alliance Freighter that brought the team to the ship, as well as the leader of Maintenence Gamma. If you want to know more about my character:

James Avian - February 24, 2008 03:52 AM (GMT)
((OOC: Since it's been nearly a day, I'm just going to post.))
1st Lieutenant James Avian gasped, his eyes widening as he saw the starboard engine.
Avian was the co-pilot of the Alliance Frieghter the ferried the group, and the leader of Maintenence Gamma, as well as the entire maintenence group. In this joint operation, the Alliance supplied transportation. After being deployed to his first space station with the 517th Space Mobility Wing, he and his crew gladly took this mission after going weeks with just training. He was the only crew member that didn't stay with the freighter.
The starboard engine was blackend to a crisp. Wires hung out loosley and wildly, and the entire room smelled of fuel.
"Maintenance Alpha," James said, activiating the com headset that hung over his face, "What the hell are you guys doing? I think someone shorted out the starboard engine.....on purpose."
Someone activated the engines to get this hulk moving, and only the left engine worked, seeing as this engine is completley destroyed.
James looked at his 5 man squad. "Alright, Troy, bring the equipment over here. Troy, you, and Chase try to salvage something from this engine. Sanders, you and Robbins run a diagonostics. Archer, you come with me. We're going to try and figure what happened."
James activated com again. "Alpha, Gamma. Instead of trying to turn on the engine, get the lights running."
Athena - February 24, 2008 04:19 AM (GMT)
Vyrchu had begun to tear apart a few of the weapons in an attempt to discern some semblance of useful technology. Over the course of an hour, and countless weapons, she had come up with next to naught.
'Is it a sign of their weakness, or their strength, that their weapons were so inferior?' Vyrchu wondered, taking a quick breather and glancing at the strange metallic liquid in the vial.
She wasn't sure, but she could have sworn that the mercury-esque metal had moved on it's own. Then, to her great pleasure, the life support began to work, and she sighed in relief.
'Well, it seems that this old thing still work-' she began, but a suddn explosion and a violent shake threw her to the ground.
Having opted on rebuilding the weapons she took apart and replacing them, only one of the rifles was thrown about, along with Vyrchu and the vial of odd liquid. As for the liquid, it fell from the desk-like object it was set on, and it shattered to release the liquid right next to Vyrchu's left arm. Though she didn't notice it in the first place, the liquid seemed to flow towards her arm, slowly shifting entirely onto it.
"Dammit!" Vyrchu uttered as she got up, still not having noticed the odd liquid on her arm "What was that?!"
"Damn it. Vyrchu, you were in an armory, are you ok?"
"I'm fine. Most of the weapons were secured, but there was this odd vial of metallic liquid, and I think it broke. I don't think I got any on me." she began, though she didn't continue when she felt something on her arm begin to warm up at an exponential rate.
She glanced down at her arm, and to her surprise there was a massive amount of that silvery liquid on her arm, and by the looks and feel of it, it was tearing through her armor. Before she could even swear though, a searing pain began to course through her, beginning with her hand, and it was so bad that she didn't even manage a scream, instead only able to gasp as the pain began to spread as the liquid, which seemed to be coating and absorbing into her skin after it broke down her armor, spread.
At the rate it was spreading, it would be unlikely that anyone, even Asanagi, would be able to get to her before the odd liquid had covered her entire body. Though the crippling pain was sorely distracting her from her bodily observations, her arm where the liquid began was slowly losing the silvery substance to be replaced by something that was biological... but not entirely.
(No, she won't die, but she can't be 'cured' or whatnot either ^_^)
James Avian - February 24, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
"Lieutenant!" yelled Chase.
James turned around. "Corporal?"
"You might want to see this, sir."
James walked over to the gigantic starboard engine and immediatly noticed hundreds of lines severed, with a silvery liquid dripping from each severed line.
"What the--"
"Sir, this was definatly done intentionally."
"No kidding."
"I'm fine. Most of the weapons were secured, but there was this odd vial of metallic liquid, and I think it broke. I don't think I got any on me."
"Vyrchu, Avian. Metallic Liquid? Can you describe it?"
After several moments of no response, James asked again.
"Vyrchu, do you copy?"
Athena - February 24, 2008 05:00 AM (GMT)
The words, 'Vyrchu, do you copy?' barely registered to Vyrchu as she continued to writhe in pain on the ground, the silvery substance now having moved up her arm and onto her torso, tearing through her armor all the while. As it spread onto her back and helmet, it began to consume her weapons as well, and even her battle skirt and Asari-crafted blade was consumed in the strange, almost living, liquid's onslaught. As the liquid spread further and consumed more, it also receded from it's starting point.
In a matter of minutes, the liquid had covered Vyrchu's entire body, and she fell unconscious as it covered her head. Not too terribly long after that, the liquid had completely consumed her armor and weapons, and most of her left arm was barren of the silvery liquid, which revealed an oddly colored 'skin' beneath it. Her skin had been white previously, but black and some red now covered her body, making it look somewhat like a synthetic's outer shell, though it was much more biological than that.
As the silver began to fade from her face, it revealed her face in it's normal shape, but the chitin mask was now black and red instead of white with red tattoos. As the liquid slowly receded from head to foot, it revealed her nude form, and the semi-synthetic skin that lay beneath the silver. As the silver liquid finally dripped off of her feet onto the floor, it began to turn a dull gray color and solidify, becoming a small blob shaped sheet of simple metal at Vyrchu's feet.
As for Vyrchu, she simply lay there, unconscious, unarmed, and unarmored, waiting to either wake up or receive assistance from someone.
(To clear up any future questions: her skin is black and red because her armor, the Colossus armor, was that color. The liquid was actually specialized nanomachines that were designed to incorporated biolocial and non-biological systems into one to produce a synthetic/biological hybrid of sorts. The nanomachines are attracted to heat, and they only break down metal, but won't unless it can detect and interact with a biological component as well. I will leave the other details either till later or for you all to interpret.)
James Avian - February 24, 2008 05:17 AM (GMT)
"Archer, with me."
"Sir."
James keyed his comm. "Anyone know where Vyrchu went?"
No one knew, so James decided to look for her anyway. They eventually stumbled into the room in which she lay. He walked to one side, looking for any sign of Vyrchu, while Archer walked to the other side.
"LT! I've found her!"
James was looking in another part of the room when he heard the Chief's voice. James turned and nearly ran into Archer, who'd came back to get him. James' jaw dropped to the ground when he saw the naked and defenseless Spectre.
"What the hell?" James keyed the comm. "I need medical assistance immediatly!! We have a Spectre down, I repeat, a Spectre down!" James unknowingly stuck his hand in the solid mecury-like liquid that formed in a puddle next to the Spectre, and absently wiped his eyes. James took off his gloves to check for vital signs for the Spectre. Avian rambled off his coordinates as he checked Vyrchu's heartbeat, but didn't get to finish when his eyes fel like the exploded.
"ARCHER!!"
Archer stared in shock until his sense knocked him in the back of his head. "Lieutenant Avian is down!"
Tsunami - February 24, 2008 06:05 PM (GMT)
Asanagi heared all the commotion, using his amazing speed he appeared next to Gamma and Vyrchu. "Archer, I want to know what the hell happened."
((James, just so you know, Asanagi and Vyrchu is in charge, to know what's going on, read Clan Origins.))
James Avian - February 24, 2008 07:02 PM (GMT)
"S-s-sir, I have no idea! We found Vyrchu like she is, and then LT just...fell!"
Tsunami - February 25, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
Asanagi swore again, "Science team Beta, GET YOUR ASSES DOWN HERE. Make sure you don't drop you med equipment. Archer, lean the Lt. against the wall." Asanagi lifted Vyrchu up and did the same. He began shaking her a bit. "Come Vyrchu, wake up. I don't want to have to dock your pay." He hoped that little joke would get through to her.
Athena - February 25, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu's head slowly shifted, being shaken by something she did not recognize. When she finally began coming around, she could tell that she was unusually cold, much colder than her suit would have allowed her to be. She could also breath better, and by the sound of things she was in a rather loud area with some rather potent scents. Slowly opening her eyes, she was nearly blinded by the vibrant, bright light that illuminated the general area. She shifted, but her movements were too... quick. She slowly looked up into the face of Asanagi, and a brief smirk crossed her face.
"Asanagi..." she said, but she instantly noted that something was wrong.
Her voice had sounded normal... but with a synthetic voice intermixed with it. She looked around, and glanced down at her body, which is when she nearly screamed with shock. Not only was she completely naked, but her skin now looked like a semi-synthetic version of her armor.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?!?!" Vyrchu shouted, attempting to cover herself desperately "WHERE'S MY ARMOR AND WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!?!?!"
Tsunami - February 25, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu's strength had increased dynamicly so Asanagi gave her a light tap on the head. "Why don't you tell me? These guys came along and yelled on the radio that you were in trouble. Then I get here to find you like this on the ground and the LT. having the same sort of problem." Asanagi grabbed a set of clothes out of one of the lockers on the ship and tossed it to her. "Now get dressed.".
Athena - February 25, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu wasted no time in putting the clothing on, noticing that it was much looser than her armor had been. Still trying to hold onto what little honor and dignity she could, she stood back up straight and attempted to calm herself.
"Asanagi... I have no idea what happened. After that metallic liquid landed on me, it began to burn through my armor and my skin."
Looking down at a now black and red hand, she quickly pulled it back into her sleeve.
"I don't understand... it looks as if that liquid burned my armor into my body... wait, where's my sword?" Vyrchu said, looking around quickly "Where's my mother's blade?! That liquid better not have eaten it too!"
Tsunami - February 25, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Asanagi felt slightly embarassed saying it "Vyrchu, look behind you." as he pointed toward her sword. For some reason it seemed shinier than earlier.".
Athena - February 25, 2008 10:46 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu indeed turned around to find the blade, and it was indeed shinier than she remembered it being. However, her other weapons were nowhere to be found, and she assumed that the strange liquid had 'eaten' them too. She picked it up, and noticed that it was even lighter than it had once been. Still, something seemed odd about it, as it seemed to be not only longer, but thicker as well. Plus, the sheath was nowhere in sight, and she was sure to check everywhere for it.
Moving it around, it seemed to rattle slightly, and by her notice, the handle was longer as well. She was curious now, and flicked her blade once, watching as it cracked under her 'light' flick. She flicked it again, and watched as the bottom half fell away, revealing a much, much thinner blade inside the 'shell' of her mother's blade. The weapon itself fell out of the handle, and she caught it as it fell and gazed upon it, halfway surprised and halfway upset that she no longer had her mother's blade.
"What was that liquid..." she wondered aloud, her voice still sounding as if it had a synthetic underlay.
Tsunami - February 25, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)
Aanagi's eyebrow rose. "Well that's certainly something. and I think it explains why the weapons here are so low grade. they're really just casing for whatever that liquid makes them.". He turned to the Lt. "How's he doing Archer?".
Athena - February 25, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Though disappointed that the blade she now held was not her mother's original blade, she guessed that the blade was still the same blade.
'People, planets, and ships change... why not swords?' Vyrchu thought as she hoisted the now very light blade onto her shoulder.
She took heed of Asanagi's words, and glanced down at the silver liquid that had previously pooled at her feet where she had once been. She bent down and, cautiously, scooped some of it up. As it did NOT attempt to kill her again, she went over to a line of weapons and pulled out a pistol. She then dripped the liquid onto the pistol, and it was as if the liquid had come to life before her eyes. She watched in a trance as the liquid enveloped the weapon, and as the substance dripped of and began to solidify on the ground once more, it revealed a shinier version of the rather large pistol.
She struck the pistol against the wall lightly, and the casing fell away to reveal a much sleeker, better looking pistol. She couldn't test fire it at the moment, but it looked like it would be a rather potent weapon.
'I wonder how much longer this stuff'll last?' she thought as she continued to glance the weapon over.
(Note that the nanomachines will eventually stop working, and as I want my character to be unique in this sense, please noone else attempt to 'synthesize' their char)
Tsunami - February 26, 2008 03:14 PM (GMT)
((Rember that the Lt. was hit with the stuff when he tried to help you so he'll probably loose an arm to the stuff. That's about it.))
"So I was right, this stuff, what ever it is, Is probably some sort of massive collection of nanoscopular technology. This explains why all the weapons here are so low grade, If the ship was boarded, the invaders wouldn't take the weapons but the people here would know to add this substance. As much as I would like to make sure everyone here is alright, we have to get back to work. Vyrchu your with me. Maintenance Alpha, get a stretch and take the LT. back to our ship's med bay." Asanagi ordered, he turned to the hall toward the bridge.
Athena - February 26, 2008 05:51 PM (GMT)
(an arm and an eye is alright, just not a whole body thing ^_^)
'If it only works on weapons... than what the hell happened to me?' Vyrchu thought, though she followed Asanagi all the same... after finding an empty vial and stuffing some of the nanomachines into it.
She noticed that Asanagi's movements seemed... slower than usual, and her own movements were much much more fluid. She still carried the blade over her right shoulder, and her new pistol was in her left hand. She needed to find armor... or maybe a sheath and holster, but still she needed something to free her hands.
She paused for a moment when she saw a reflection of her face, but she kept following Asanagi back to the bridge. She did stop as they neared the 'entrance' to the ship.
"Asanagi, I shall be back in a short while." she said as she turned to head towards the ship they arrived in, noticing her voice still had that same synthetic underlay to it "I shall be back when I have gotten some of my spare gear."
James Avian - February 26, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)
Archer nodded toward the Turian.
"He'll need an eye transplant, but I think he'll be alri--? What the? Look at his glove!"
Archer pointed toward the Lt.'s disbanded glove. It was dissolving at a rapid pace.
Tsunami - February 27, 2008 03:14 PM (GMT)
Asanagi nodded to Vyrchu and sat down. He was sure that his thoughts were bugging Vyrchu as well as himself but he couldn't shake the feeling that the nanobots had changed Vyrchu. He hated not knowing what was going on so he left his communicator on in case something happened.
Athena - February 27, 2008 10:41 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu walked to her temporary quarters in silence, garnering more than the occasional look at her new appearance. She was used to staring, being the only female Turian that most races have seen wearing armor and with a Spectre rank had it's set of attention garnering after all. Still, this was much more... awkward.
'Great, not only am I a 'lowborn', but now I'm a freak of nature as well.' she thought, a mild scowl becoming her face.
After she reached her quarters, she attempted to get into one of her spare Colossus armors... which ended in the suit not recognizing her life-form as being that of a Turian females. Her other suits yielded the same result. With irritation, she tried to manually install a bioamp, then an omnitool, both of which failed miserably. In further fury, she realized that she couldn't 'sense' her eezo nodes, alluding to the fact that she no longer had them. After that, a low growl ensued, which was magnified by her dual layer voice to be much more fearful, and punched the wall as hard as she could.
Aside from a tremendous amount of pain, she noticed, much to her awe, that she was able to nearly tear through the wall with her punch, and her skin was unscratched even the slightest bit... though it WAS sore as hell.
'It integrates the two parts into one better whole...' Vyrchu thought as she sat down on her bed '...does that mean that... I'm a better whole?'
Truthfully, she had noted how much brighter, louder, and stronger smelling the ship was. Her recent demonstration showed that she could take a beating, maybe due to natural armor. She was clearly stronger, and possibly faster, and who knows what else had happened to her.
'Maybe this won't be too bad...' Vyrchu thought as she drew the vial of nanomachines from her clothes pocket 'Now, let's see if I can take care of something.'
Vyrchu poured a small bit of the nanomachine 'fluid' onto a spare sheath for a practice blade she owned. As expected, the strange little machines went to work. In mere moments, she broke the sheath shell and had a sheath that was befitting to her 'new' blade.
After that, she decided to pull out some of her older clothes, which were more traditional than the common attire. She set her sword and sheath on her left side through a sash, and holstered her pistol on her right thigh where she had had it previously. Finally, throwing her last bit of clothing around her, she exited the area and headed back for the prothean ship, her head held high and her body moving far more gracefully than before.
'I assume that Asanagi is on the bridge, I should go and meet him there.'
Tsunami - February 27, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
ASanagi met up with Vyrchu and showed her toward the bridge. In an effort to make her feel better he tried making conversation "The outfit is nice.". He was sure she was still uncomfortanle but there was no way he was letting her feel like an outcast.
Athena - February 27, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
Vyrchu managed a smile, putting up the hood on her outfit anyway.
"Thank you, Asanagi." she said as she followed him "At least you are willing to speak to me."
She noticed then that she was slightly taller than she once was, though not as tall as Asanagi himself, which was odd since Turian females tended to be taller than the males. A small part of her brain was also wondering if she could still fair well against him now, or if she might even have a chance at beating him.
'Maybe later, but right now I have a job to finish, despite the... unexpected changes.' Vyrchu thought as she walked alongside Asanagi, still fairly silent from her usual self.
Tsunami - February 27, 2008 11:10 PM (GMT)
They arrived at the bridge and Asanagi went to the captains chair. From there he was able to activate a copy of the ship's schematics, coding, and the like. He turned to Vyrchu "Call me carzy but theis looks an aweful lot like our own technology just with a lot of supercharging.".
Athena - February 28, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
"You do seem to have a point there." Vyrchu said said as she walked over to a nearby control panel "But if the events involving Spectre Shepard hold true, then everything we have was made by the Protheans."
'Well, technically it's the Reapers who made this all.' she thought 'But I don't want to give those bastards any credit.'
She carefully glanced over several panels, and saw that the setup wasn't that much different from their own ships. In fact, if the need arose, there did appear to be a pilots chair, and she would probably be able to pilot it well enough.
Still, something didn't feel right to Vyrchu, besides the obvious.
"Asanagi, if the Protheans were so advanced, why don't they have more security measures on their ship?" Vyrchu asked in her dual-layer voice "Even our clan has more security measures than this in our village, and we have had no crime amongst our people for decades countless."
Tsunami - February 28, 2008 12:36 AM (GMT)
"Well before we discovered the liquid that hit you I thought that these people rellied on exterior ship combat, eliminating their opponents before a boarding. Now I'm not so sure." Asanagi sat down and began to take control of the ship through the captain's chair. "Vyrchu can you tell me what this thing has for weapons?".
Athena - February 28, 2008 12:53 AM (GMT)
"Give me a moment." Vyrchu responded before finding a seat and going at it on a console.
The language was... difficult to read to say the least, but through some miracle she was able to make out some of it. After a while she found the weapons, and was fairly impressed.
"Well, it seems that this ship is better armed than we thought." Vyrchu said "It currently holds the largest mass acceleration gun on record, if I recall properly. They have twenty predecessors to the GARDIAN laser systems, countless CQS mass acceleration guns, and the same vast number of missle pods, though I can't read what type of missiles they are."
She sat back in the chair, before an idea struck her that is.
"Asanagi, do you think there would be any fighters or interceptors here?" Vyrchu asked.
Tsunami - February 28, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
Asanagi pulled up the hanagar manifest. "10 000 fighters of a kind I don't recognize, 5 000 boading craft, and some special hangar for what looks like a captain's ship. This thing isn't a carrier OR a warbird, it's BOTH. A ship designed to win entire wars on it's own. I'd have to say that when this thing was about to loose since the reapers wouldn't take an empty ship they deactivated it's inner defense so the next people would get an edge." Asanagi smiled, this was unexpected but a wonderful thing.
Athena - February 28, 2008 01:09 AM (GMT)
"Hm... the Protheans were quite honorable, and intelligent." Vyrchu said as she stood up from her seat, feeling odd as her cloak and battleskirt wrapped around her with her motion before going back to their proper position.
"Hm... this ship on it's own would provide more than suitable defense for the Citadel. We could thwart the ENTIRE Geth fleet with this!" Vyrchu said, smiling wider than ever "We need to get to the Citadel ASAP."
(REMEMBER, We haven't heard word that the Citadel Siege is over)
Tsunami - February 28, 2008 01:32 AM (GMT)
((I know that Alex))
Asanagi opened the comm with the ship they had used to get here. "Get inside one of the hangars. We're going to the citadel. Maintenance teams Beta and Gamma, alpha is busy so make sure both engines are working." Once the ship was in the hangar the teams called in "Sir, everything is in position and working. We can leave right away." Asanagi smiled 'Vyrchu, would you like the pilot seat?".
Athena - February 28, 2008 01:55 AM (GMT)
(I was just making sure you remembered, I meant no offense)
"I would love to pilot this ship." Vyrchu said with a grin.
She situated herself in the pilots seat and quickly began to tap at the controls. The interface was quick, quicker than most ships she had used. Now all that mattered was for the ship to work after 50,000 years of no use.
"Are the systems up and running?" Vyrchu asked over the com, only to receive positive answers across the board "Good. Beginning preparations."
In a blur of console commands that surprised even Vyrchu, she was going through the entire pre-flight setup.
"Engines powering up... Destination locked in... Weapon systems powering up... All stats are in the green..." Vyrchu said as she went about the flurry of commands "All systems are go."
Looking back at Asanagi, she smirked. She didn't need to do this, but she felt like doing it anyway.
"Awaiting orders for departure Commander"
Tsunami - February 28, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
"Take us out Vrychu." Asanagi was beaming, even the sour mood from Vyrchu's little accident couldn't bring them down. They were literally in charge of THE most powerful ship of all. And it was coming to kick ass. "All hands, this is Asanagi. GRab on to something and pray you don't die. WE're taking off.".
Athena - February 28, 2008 03:12 AM (GMT)
"I'm a better pilot than that." Vyrchu muttered under her breath as she keyed in the last few commands before 'grabbing onto the wheel'.
The ship began to accelerate, though it wasn't anything overtly impressive for it's size. Still, it was nigh impossible to improve on the systems that the Asari had first discovered anyhow. Furthermore, the ship was as silent as can be, you'd have to strain to hear anything from the engines. Though given the size of the ship, that may be due to the distance between the bridge and the engineering bay.
It was smooth in it's goings, and it was able to be controlled like a dream. Vyrchu had to admit that the ONLY ship that could be piloted better was an Asari interceptor, but that was the only exception. After she was sure the ship was alright, she went through and began to activate the autopilot... assuming there was one. Luckily, there was, and she activated it with plans to inform her of when they were going to near the mass relay.
"Autopilot engaged. ETA 6 hours and 30 minutes." Vyrchu said as she got up from her seat "Now we just have to find something to do till then."

"Though it would be faster, I would HIGHLY reccomend against that." Vyrchu stated firrmly "We have no idea how that particular technology will work, and it is lucky enough that the ship didn't run into a star instead of here."
Vyrchu suddenly heard her stomach let out a low roar, and for the first time in a while Vyrchu noticed that she was absolutely famished.
"Asanagi, we did bring plenty of food on board, right." Vyrchu said as she gripped her hand across her stomach "It seems that the... change... took a lot out of me."
'I have never felt this hungry, not even after the first Geth attack when I nearly fried my eezo nodes through overuse...' Vyrchu thought '...and biotics takes a LOT of calories...'
