I doubt it was just school, no one has posted in almost 2 weeks, the only things happening are in the general boards. The site was dying, im trying to breath life into it.

Yes, this skin is cool, but change is always good. Plus I've seen quite a few sites with similar skins. Mayhap a new one would be good. New look always keeps things fresh.

IMO we should start fresh and brainstorm for a forum-wide plot that everyone can get it on, preferably something bigger than a single battle. Maybe some kind of campaign into some hostile race's territory or something.

We need the Alliance to take back Sol first

Without it the Alliance wouldnt be able to do much : P

And we need to solve the Indoctrination plot, my character is stuck there.

I have written up some rules for the reset. You all could ignore that plot if you want too. That is also one of the reasons i did this revamp. Since Sythe, or Rasen isnt here anymore i guess you could just say you finsished, or never did it : P

Just try and sort out continuty errors.

I'm all for getting the site up and alive agin, but I haven't been doing good in school lately and on the weekends I go down to my dads where I play games to get the stress off.

Plus, I just got Army of TWO. :P

I have been one of those inactive people for the past few weeks. I have been stuck with handling things in terms of college and scholarships. I have also been preparing for prom and other senior related things. I'm happy that you guys have been keeping the site alive. I also think it is a good idea to start things anew.

I am going to go back to being active now. I don't know if everything that I am about to say has already been said, but we definately need to start with the revamp of the site. Organizing it and everything. Curt and the others have been doing a great job with it. I would like to help with those matters. If I need to do anything just tell me what to do.

We should only work on getting new members after the revamp is done though. When we start advertising again we need everyone to do it.

Again I am sorry I have been gone for so long. I am now active again and I don't want to see this site go down either.

You should have some stuff from Mass Effect's website (but try not to copy anything) where they have, Most recent, Most active, etc. Something like that!!!

Welcome to the site. And yes you have the wrong idea. We're completely reseting the site. Virtually all posts were removed, this is just a discussion of what to do and what to bring back. As well as the excuses for inactivity for some.

Hi, so, I've just stumbled onto your site after looking for something like this for a while. How active are things here these days? Any point in working up a character?

Five steps to keep a good rp site running:

1. Ogranization

- Organize a mini forum for each ship include information on crew rosters, type of vessel, armaments, faction, The basics.
- Organize separate forums to put character sheets for each faction.
- A better character Template. (If you are in charge and interested I can send you a good one to use.)
- Convert areas such as Chora’s den into sub topics to allow different threads of events to happen. If anyone is confused I am willing to step up and breath some life back into this dead site.

2. Story/Plot

- You need to organize a mod or two who works on organizing events. They coordinate with the admins to get them approved privately and play them out. Due to my experience running sites this increases the life span of a site and keeps it more enjoyable. These mods would be known as game masters. They also can make random events happen in rp threads. They are very necessary.
- I like the current plot and I believe there is a lot to work with.
- Each time when each ship completes there first main story arch or mission have a site wide time skip by a series of weeks more months.
- Every character can be involved in the events!
- Put limits on officer ranks per ship and station or colony so you want have a thousand Lt. Commanders running around a ship. Infact encourage people to start out as ensign and move up the latter.

3. OOC:

- Promote art contests to change website themes and banners. This way you will always have flashy themes on the site and people who love designing draphics will have fun things to do added with the great rp experience.
- Enforce rp base rules such as godmoding and such. Godmoding is the number one killer of rp sites and these needs to be enforced.
- Encourage members to take an active stance on the story arch and the rules systems.

4. Moderating:

- Having active mods and admins is the number one thing you need. Since the site is dead one of the admins need to take initiative and recruit volunteers as mods to help the revamp cycle. This site is way to good to die.
- Be strong in rule enforcement and set a good example for the players.
- Be active!

5. General:

- These are simple to follow I know since I have been an admin of several long lived rp sites.
- Lastly remember the number one rule Have Fun!

I can start on a new CS but you still need separate mini forums for locations such as Citadel/Ward/Choras Den so there could be multiple threads within Choras den so it will not get crowded.

We had things going fine for a while people. The biggest problem was that one of our members became involved with nearly everything and when Alex left us things just went down hill. Toss in the fact that Mass Effect has been out for a while and there are plenty of sites which some of us have been working on and things have become rather busy. Plenty of us still come back on but things are just way too slow for an effective restart.

Honestly, Delta, no you didn't if you're referring to Alexander's post.

I am not trying to be bossy I am just pointing out what sites need to keep a long life span. I have ran several long lived rp sites the longest was four years. I know how the online rp community works and what players enjoy in a rp site. -^.^- I may be a noob to the site but I am not new to role playing.

I would be able to help with a new look if needed...even though my Keeper status was revoked...
