The Alliance Military Vocational Codes are codes that designate career path and experience within the Alliance military, all branches. Codes consist of a letter followed by a number. All letters are used (from the Roman Alphabet from Earth) and the numbers range from 1-7. denoting experience, with 1 being the lowest. The numbers are decided by assignments, commendations, medals, service records, etc. The letter designations are as follows:


A – Administrative Support

B – Band (also including Color Guard, Honor Guard, etc.)

C – Command & Control

D – Astronautics (MEU equivalent of Aviation; this includes pilots, navigators, flight surgeons)

E – Emergency & Medical/Dental

F – Finance & Accounting

G – Construction & Engineering

H – Art & Media

I – Intelligence/Communications

J – Paralegal

K – Naval Warfare

L – Logistics

M – Maintenance

N – Special Forces

O – Heavy Ordnance (Missles, Nukes, etc.)

P – Public Affairs

Q – Computers & Technology

R – Surface Warfare (Infantry)

S – Orbital Deployment, Reconnaissance, Infiltration, and Assault Forces

T – Transportation

U – Security Forces (Military Police)

V – Science

W – Weaponry

X – Religion

Y – Human Resources (training, recruiting, etc.)

Z – Information Management


Specific titles within career paths are written plainly under the vocational designation on uniforms, battle armor, etc. So for instance, Joker's designation on his uniform would be as follows:
