Title: Markets

Rasengod7 - March 27, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
The krogan rounded a corner. He spotted the door he was supposed to enter. A man stepped in front of him though and punched him in the face. The krogan woke up several hours later. The room seemed to be a little odd. He realized that he was being suspended from his feet. The same man who knocked him out walked in front of him wearing a mask.

"Who hired you to deliver the disc?" Ethan asked.

"What disc, what are you talking about?" the krogan responded. Ethan punched the krogan in the gut with barbed gloves. The krogan screamed in pain.

"Fine I don't know who hired me?" the krogan said in desperation.

Ethan didn't think it would be that easy. It must have been his lucky day. "What do you mean you don't know? How did you know who to deliver the disc too?" Ethan asked.

"It was a video recording. I was supposed to go into that room I was heading too and recieve my payment." the krogan responded.

Ethan thought it over for a moment. "You're lucky you didn't go there. That room blew up after I dragged you away. It seems that you were just fodder. C-Sec is on the way. They'll deal with you later. I'll leave you hanging. Peace." Ethan said while walking out. He headed to the site of the explosion to see if he could find anymore clues.

Rasengod7 - March 27, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Ethan was able to find a piece of the bomb that blew up the building. If he could find out where this was made he could find out who bought it. Ethan put the bomb in a sealed case and left the scene before anyone could see him. He needed to head to the docking bay and get off this place. He didn't have any connections on the Citadel surprisingly, but he did have some in other places.

Ethan was planning on boarding a passenger ship, but it seemed like C-Sec was looking for him. "It must have been from that little incident in Chora's Den." Ethan thought. He needed to sneak on board a ship.

Leo XV - March 27, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
Phon walked down into the lower markets, Leo being camoflaged on the celing. She "looked" at a group of various races, Krogan, Human and Taurian, who all seemed to be trading goods. She walked over to them "You fellas selling anything?" she asked.

"Why would a little girl like you want to know?" a Taurian said, until he got tossed across the room.

"Im not so little" Phon shot back.

A perticually big Krogan, covered in battlescars, raised his hands, getting the rest of the men to stand down "So you want to see our merchandise?" he asked.

"What have you got?"

The Krogan laughed "What havent I got, I have anti synthetic grenades, vrus rounds, virus grenades, EMP's and other stuff" he said "is that enough" he asked.

"Yes it is" Phon said, as Leo activated his sabotage beam, sabotaging the anti geth stuff.

"Its a trap" the Krogan shouted, as he started to run out of the markets, only to be blocked by C-Sec.

"Thanks XV, we've been trying to get these guys for a while" an officer said.

"Just doing what I think is right" Leo XV said.
Edit: (OOC:The two are now walking to Chora's den, see if they can here some news. So...)

Vera headed from the Academy to the Markets, having received a call from one of the officers on beat, Regis, about the slaughter of two Salarians the night before.

When she got there, the area was blocked off from the public, and tarps had been hung around the area to restrict the view. "It's about time you showed up," Regis greeted her.

"You should have called."

"You need all the beauty sleep you can get, honey."

She restrained herself from hitting him, seeing as how she was on duty. "I was already awake."

"Late night last night, huh?"

She shook her head and moved past him to the tarps, parting them to get a view inside. George had been right- it was a real slaughter. Blood was smeared all across the walls and floor, and it looked like they had been beaten to a bloody pulp by something pointed- like a board with a nail in it, or something spiked.

For several hours she stayed to do investigation on the bodies, then she went back to the labs in the Academy to get more information. For a while she worked on trying to recreate the indentations made by the weapon to figure out what they might have been killed by; her conclusion was surprising, as the closest match she could find was a high heeled shoe.

As soon as she decided it was a direct match, she called Regis. "Listen, I think I've got a tag on the murder weapon. I'm going to go out and ask a few questions. Let me know if you find anything new."

"You too, 'right?"

She hung up at that point, already on her way to Chora's Den.

2nd Lt. David Price - April 2, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
Walking up to a Turian merchant in the wards, Price hurridly asked the Turian "I need a special armor, I'm with the Military"

The Turian glanced at the soldier and calmly responded "Welcome, what do you need?"

The human seemed distracted, like he wanted to get moving

"I was told that you sell a Kassa Foundation type of amor, called Colossus"

"Ahh..." the Turian responded, "But why would a military guy such as you want that type? They're mainly for mercs and rebels, are they not?"

"I don't care!" Price said, raising his voice "Just give me one..."

"Hmm... well I do have two in the back."

"Good, here's the 10,500 credits for them" Price said, handing a card to the Turian.

The Turian then smirked. "10,500 credits?"

"yes, 10,500 credits; thats the price for the Colossus armor."

"Heh... yes the armor is 10,500 credits. But, this shop is different. I say that the armor is 12,000 credits."

"What!?" Price said, half screaming, "that armor is 10,500 credits you bastard! I need it now!"

"Whats the problem, sir," the Turian said, knowing that all other shops were closed for the night. "You can visit the other shops if you want the armor to be 10,500 credit. That is unless, you wait until tomorrow."

Price was furious. He had to get going or he'd be late and he was not in the mood to be mocked by a Turian. Pulling out his pistol, he aimed the gun at the turians head and shouted at him "You give me the Colossus armor now before I blow your brains out and get it myself!"

2nd Lt. David Price - April 2, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
A bead of sweat rolled down Price's cheek as a few seconds went by with the standoff.

"You aren't going to kill me," chuckled the Turian, "I've seen your military before. You'd get arrested and whatnot"

"You have the count till 3!" Price said angrily.

"or what?" the Turian countered.

Price looked around. The store was empty. It was past closing time for the markets. He looked at the wall and noticed 2 security cameras pointed down at the counter, directly at Price.

"Shit.." he thought to himself, "this is bad..."

"1!" he said out aloud.

The turian smirked and crossed his arms.

"2!"

Just then, something caught Price's eye. He quickly glanced at the Turian's shoulder. There was a dark tattoo on it, a circle with 3 verticle lines running through it. It only meant one thing.

Price tightened his grip, and pulled the trigger.

A small projectile fired from the gun and struck the Turian dead on the forehead. The Turian then fell back, gurgled a few seconds, then went limp.

Price then holstered the gun and looked again at the mark on the Turian's shoulder. It had the insignia of the Ferdos Gang, a group of Mercinaries that terrorized local human colonies. The Ferdos Gang had more than 1,000 members and had killed many humans for the fun of it.

"He deserved it." Price told himself.

Walking over the body, Price went to the back room of the store and sure enough, there were two Colossus armors.

He grabbed one, and checked his watch.

"only 4 minutes left..." he whispered as he dashed out the store and towards the docking bay elevator.

Samtheman - April 9, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
Anarchis had been wandering about the Citadel for more then 2 hours.... He was lost. He liked being lost in general, you could always find new and exciting things, but this place sucked when lost. He had been in this same market 3 times. He leaned back on the staircase, trying to think of what to do next. He was BORED of being lost. Lost, Lost, Lost, he thought grumpily. Ask for directions no, head back to Flux, maybe, shop...... hell no. He sighed aloud...he said he would be back in C-sec in an hour, he was long overdue, he was getting reassigned not sure what he was getting into yet, whatever it was it would have to wait 'till he found his way back.

Apocalypse - April 11, 2008 03:39 PM (GMT)
(continued from C-Sec)

Slowly Wes'an walked around the market looking for the krogan bounty hunter. He kept his hand on his pistol... just to be sure. Suddenly a bullet flew right through his right arm spilling blood.

"Aarh! Damnit!" shouted Wes'an and leaned to a wall nearby.

"I knew that they would send more meat for me to grind." said the krogan bounty hunter

The krogan walked closer to Wes'an. Wes'an pulled his pistol from its holster.

"Like every other they sent...you will die too!" said the krogan and started running towards Wes'an.

Wes'an quickly rose and shot the krogan two times. The krogan sceamed of pain but he was only slowed down. Not stopped. He fell into rage and began shooting with no accuracy at all. Wes'an knew that this would be his last and only chance. He rolled to a nearby box and shot once. The krogan fell and died with a bloody hole in his head. Wes'an stood and searched his body. Wes'an found an encrypted data storage device.

"Whats this?" asked Wes'an from himself

Wes'an took the device, stood and walked away.

Jacob stood in an overlooked corner of the markets, a nearby stall ensuring he was not likely to be seen or noticed by any of the many people who crowded the area looking for items to purchase. He kept his posture casual, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, surveying the crowd. Every so often one hand would go to his temple and massage the spot for a moment before returning to its place. He was waiting for someone, and that someone was late.

"Constable Ainsley, punctual as ever, I see." A turian dressed in light civilian clothes approached him, separating from the crowd and moving close enough to speak privately. "Vorgan," Jacob replied with a nob, his face impassive. "Late as ever."

"Please be understanding, Constable, my business keeps me very busy. I meet you as I do out of courtesy to a long time customer and friend. Speaking of which, I notice you seem to be running out of doses more quickly these days..."

"Cut the chatter, Vorgan. I need you analyzing me less than I need C-Sec doing it. That's why I meet you here. Do you have it or not?"

Vorgan was a chemist and a merchant, specializing in the distribution of medicines to various clinics both on and off the Citadel. In Jacob's case, the turian provided him with a steady supply of the painkiller solanum, a good deal, in fact, more than the legal regular dosage.

"Yes, of course I do. But Jacob, you're well beyond what's legally considered abuse and-..."

"But nothing, Vorgan. We both know I need it to keep this implant from driving me crazy or leaving me useless. I'm not out for some cheap score, so save the lecture and let me pay you for the solanum."

"I... yes. Alright."

Ariadne - June 3, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
Meghan walked to the weapons store from Flux and asked to see the sniper rifle upgrades. She browsed through them leisurely, sweeping her dark hair behind her ears to get a better look at them.

A kinetic coil, or combat optics? Ah, the decisions faced by us poor suffering First Lieutenants...

She wondered if C-Sec were likely to do better deals than the volus sitting in front of her. Might be worth a shot. Maybe I could ask someone...

Yankee6X - June 27, 2008 11:53 PM (GMT)
((Continued from Flux))

His trip from Flux to the Markets was not a large one, however it took notably longer than he had originally expected. Terren had to push his way through what seemed like countless drunk patrons littering the walkway of the wards. After his obstacle course, he subtly slid through the door into the markets, unfortunately his maneuver was wasted - his armour made it appear as though he had the money to spend.

"Hello sir, how would you like to spend a little money here on some of my fine wares?"
"Hello, may i interest you in some weapons? Armour? Upgrades?"
"Hello, may i interest you in something pretty for the lady?"
"Turian! You look like a man who needs some gear - Upgrades? Weapons?"
"Sir, i think if you traded that armour we could come to a great deal for some new equipment!"

The heckles just kept coming, despite Terren's best efforts to simply walk through shoving men aside. In order to make his way to a food vendor.

"I need some food, my friend," Terren offered politely.
"Of course, hot food sir?" the vendor replied.
"If its available," he smiled as the vendor quickly got to work, as he settled down on a stool and continued to do his favourite hobby - watch.
