Title: C-Sec
kagekuichki - March 29, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
((continued from Melcinus Weapons and Equipment))
kage went to his locker to put on his new Colossus V armor then headed to his desk to see if he had any work today
"i spent most of the day looking for this armor, there is most likely a good 20 things i need to look in on"
he sat down at his desk and looked on his computer to see what cases he had to work on
kagekuichki - March 29, 2008 03:59 AM (GMT)
kage saw that he in fact had nothing to do........and proceded to slam his head against his desk
"damn it how am i supposed to impress the council enough to make me a spectre if i don't have any work?"
he hit his head on the desk once more then stood up
"i need a drink"
he walked out of his office and headed for Chora's Den
((i think you can guess where this is continued))
Nova-FoV - March 30, 2008 01:29 PM (GMT)
Vera Clato came in early from work. She'd had trouble sleeping the night before, so she'd woken up early and come to the Academy as soon as possible. One of the recruits, George, looked surprised to see her when she walked into her office, so he followed her.
"Funny, I thought your shift wasn't supposed to start for another hour?"
She sighed and pulled a stylus out of her desk, beginning to write on the tablet connected to her computer. "It's not. I just couldn't sleep."
"Oh. Well, Regis wanted me to send you over to the upper markets as soon as you got in. Apparently there was a real slaughter down in the wards last night. Two Salarians must have gotten mixed up with the wrong crowd."
Vera glared at him as she shut down her computer and put the stylus away. "Why didn't anyone call me?"
"He said it wasn't that important. I mean, they're already dead, right?"
She rolled her eyes as she walked out of the office, George's stupid grin following her.

The Honest Liar - March 30, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
(Continued from Chora's Den)
Isaac walked into the C-Sec office casually, knowing that entering this place the way he had Chora's Den wouldn't have been a smart move. He had drunk a few alcoholic beverages, but years of drinking had made the small amount he had from the Den not damage his motor skills enough to do anything asinine as most people who drink the same amount.
"Hey," he shouted, loudly. "Anybody here know where Jacob Coal is being held? I know he's here..."
He looked around the massive area that was the C-Sec offices, the size and wonder of it all giving him a headache.
Venom lord20 - March 30, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
(Continued from Chora's Den)
Dante walked in behind Isaac. Dante was following Isaac as his guide because he knew he had way too much to drink. "so you think Cole is here" asked Dante "Is he in jail or we here on other matters?"
The Honest Liar - March 30, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
"He's being held here, framed by some jackass," he said, with malice in his tone. "Coal would never sexually harass anybody, the whole thing is a disgusting joke," Isaac said, nodding his head.
"God knows his reputation was ruined. I hope the person who caused this little prank knows what's coming for him," he growled. "Maybe I have enough credits to bail him out, and ask for the information to help him get revenge?"
Venom lord20 - March 30, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
"sexually harass somebody?" asked Dante "I'm not even gonna ask how they did that" Dante gazed over the C-Sec looking for anyone that could help them find the holding cells "hey, lets ask that Turian over there" said Dante as he pointed over at a Turian officer just standing around.
KroganScientist - March 31, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Aryic just walked into c-sec. As always he was greeted by dirty looks and stares. Aryic sighed and said "god its like they've never seen a krogan before". and as usual he was there looking for someone to higher him out for merc job, he was usually highered out by c-sec agents who had there hands full in an investigation or needed extra fire power for an arrest. so he laid against a wall and scanned for a potintal job, he the saw Dante and Isaaic talking. He thought "hmm... maybe they could higher me for a job" so he started twords them.
Nova-FoV - March 31, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
Vera Clato walked in holding a handcuffed woman by the arm. If one frequented Chora's Den, they might recognize her as Jennifer, one of the human dancers. She was dressed more modestly than her work clothing, but it still wasn't hard to tell that she was a stripper.
A group of three officers broke away from the wall where they'd been casually chatting when Vera arrived.
"Took you long enough, Clato," Regis greeted. "Is this all you came up with?"
Vera resisted the urge to shove the suspect toward Regis. "I just can't do right by you, can I?"
Regis ignored her comment, taking Jennifer's other arm and guiding her away from Vera. "Come on, let's get this thing sorted out."
Kantz Larrekin - March 31, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
The young C-Sec officer sat alone in his small office. It was a slow day, more like a slow week actually. He let out a grunt. The most engaging thing Kantz had done lately was cleaning up Ethan's mess at the bar. He needed For a long moment he didn't move or breathe.
Kantz kicked back and closed his eyes. He flipped on some relaxing lounge music. "I should be enjoying my free time," he yawned. Not more than two seconds after he spoke, a loud yell from the main lobby echoed into Kantz' office. The ringing in his ears startled him so much that he fell out of his chair.
Kantz pulled himself up using his desk for support. He kicked it, and a sharp pain shot up his foot. His faced flooded with anger. Whoever that was better have a squad of krogan chasing them, he thought. With gritted teeth, he went off toward the sound.
Before he could do anything, Kantz got a message from Pein. He immediately calmed down as he read it via his omnitool. A smile grew across his face. "Finally," he said as he turned to the docking bay.
KroganScientist - March 31, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
Aryic was about to talk to the two but, then he saw a human heading twords the docking bay something told him that there was a job waiting for him if he followed him. he then cough up to him and said "hey, human were are you going? My names Aryic, Aryic 'Ritlar." he then continued "I'm a merc, if you need an some extra firepower I'm you Krogan" he said with a smirk.
Kantz Larrekin - April 2, 2008 09:20 PM (GMT)
"Hmmm.... I don't know," Kantz chuckled, as he began to pace. Kantz wasn't sure he needed help on this mission, and even if he did; would the Council approve of a Krogan going on an Espada mission? After a minute he stopped face-to-face with the Krogan.
"I guess I might need help with my job, but my....let's say: 'employer' might not be happy about you coming with me," he finally explained. Kantz sighed and scratched the back of his head. "But my job can wait for now. I'm getting a drink...or two, you can follow me to Chora's Den if you want..." With that he turned his back and walked to C-Sec's exit, expecting the Krogan to follow.
OOC: Continued in Chora's Den.
Venom lord20 - April 2, 2008 10:54 PM (GMT)
Dante pushed up his sleeve and looked at his watch "Its getting late" said Dante "I'll help you with your friend problem later Isaac, but I'm going back to Choras Den to get one last drink and see if Kane has any odd jobs for me"
((continued in Choras Den))
Delta Team Curt - April 3, 2008 07:24 PM (GMT)
A Turian C-Sec officer walked Curtis into the academy. He was drunk, stumbling as the officer pushed him to walk. The walked down some halls, coming to the holding cells.
"Got a drunk here, claims hes a Captain in the Alliance" The Turian called back to the other officer sitting near the cells.
He pushed him in, Curtis loosing his balance and falling to the floor. He tried to pick himself back up but couldnt. He crawled over to the small bed in the cell, pulling himself up to it. He wanted more alcohol, and he got busted trying to do that.
The officer looked at him, shaking his head and walking away. The Asari guard didnt take much notice, going back to her paperwork.
It was going to be a long night...
The Honest Liar - April 4, 2008 01:49 AM (GMT)
"Suit yourself," Isaac said to Dante as he left. "Are you sure you're not just going back there for... what's her name again... Leonne?" he asked, only to realize that Dante had already left.
More than likely, he thought. He sighed out of frustration and headed up to one of the turian guards, finally. "Hey, you. Is there a soldier in there by the name of Coal?"
The guard eyed Isaac angrily. "Do I look like the type of official that wants to be addressed as 'you?'" the guard shot back.
"Hey, do I look like the type of guy who cares? I used to be commander of an elite force. Now... heh... I make more than your yearly salary in a day. So I'd shut up if I were you," Isaac said. "Just answer my question. I'm losing my patience."
The guard sighed and shrugged, in defeat. He walked Isaac through the bright room, and led him to the cells.
"Coal?" Isaac asked, peering in one of the cells, where a bearded man sat.
"Yeah, that's me. Unfortunately," he said, shaking his head. "I'm telling you, I'm innocent. You see, something went down..."
Isaac's eyes widened, as if he was reminded of something. "You wait here, I need to get something," he said, running out of the cell room.
"What about me?!" he shouted, before Isaac had left the C-Sec office completely.
Delta Team Curt - April 5, 2008 03:11 PM (GMT)
The dimmed lights in the cells were a gift from god, Curtis laying on the bed with a major hangover. The splitting headache he was experiencing however didnt make it seem so.
Last night he had been suspended from the Alliance, and was going to be courtmartialed for 'unorthodox' behavior. To top it off he was thrown into a cell after drunkingly venting his anger and demanding alcohol.
The Asari from last night was replaced with a Salarian, he was busy working away on the computer. He wanted something for his hangover, but there was no way he was going to get it here.
------------
Caleb walked down the halls of C-Sec, looking for the cells. He finally reached it, seeing the secretary sitting outside. She asked him what he was here for, and he said to see someone inside. She allowed him in.
A Salarian was sitting at a desk, typing feverishly to finish some reports. He coughed, grabbing his attention.
"Can i help you sir?" The officer asked.
"Yes, i need you to release Curtis Freeman, he was taken here last night for disturbing the peace" Caleb told him.
"How about no, C-Sec handles prisoners, we dont just let them leave"
Caleb pulled out his ID, a card showing him to be from the Councilers Office. The Salarian looked at it, immediately apoligizing. He got up and walked over to Curtis's cell.
-------------------------
Curtis looked up as the door opened, the officer asking him to come here. He complied, slowly getting up off the bed. He walked to the door, walking through and following the officer.
A man was here, and he had some sort of ID in his hands, for what he wasnt sure.
"Curtis Freeman?" He asked.
"Do you need something from me?" Curtis asked.
"I need you to come with me, the Council wants to see you"
He did as he was told, following the man to a Rapid Transit terminal. The man pulled out a small bottle of headache reliver and handed it to him. He grabbed it, downing a few pills a second later. It arrived, the two stepping on it to head to the Council Chambers.

Twyce - April 5, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
Spool had been uncharacteristically quiet on the journey over to Citadel Security. He was unwilling to freak out the soldier with his special brand of anecdotes, mostly because he didn’t want to lug the tank of stuff around by himself also an official member of the Alliance carried slightly more authority or at least access rights than a civilian. Spool also lacked a certain credibility, smelling of urine and looking like a comparatively neat tramp the almost sterilised denizens of the citadel had made a point of cross to the other side of the street when they passed the two of them.
He laboured the tank up onto the front desk and spoke to the officer on duty. “Hi. We’re looking for a guy. Captain Freeman. This high. Human Alliance uniform.”.
The Salarian officer raised his brow. “Again? You’re too late. They’ve already picked up Captain Freeman.”.
Spool clicked his fingers in pretend frustration. “Aw dang. Already? Well thanks anyway.”
“Yes… What does the Council want with a drunk bum?”
“It’s a thing. Its very hush hush.”
“Riiight. Whats that smell?” the Salarian eyed the tank suspiciously and in response Spool picked it back up and grinned nervously.
“Engine degreaser.”
“Why does the Cou-“
“We’ll be going now.”.
Spool lumbered the tank outside and turned to Will.
“Well balls. If he’s up in the Council tower we’ll never get to him.” He placed the tank down on the floor and sat upon it “Well. What do you think we should do eggdip?”.
Rasengod7 - April 10, 2008 12:38 AM (GMT)
"We will storm the tower!" Will shouted.
Will began to think that plan over and realized that it was a bad idea.
"How about we wait for him? He might be coming out soon." Will suggested. He picked up the barrel and waited for Spool.
Apocalypse - April 11, 2008 05:19 AM (GMT)
(Continued from Docks)
Elevator arrived to C-Sec headquarters. Wes'an stepped out and looked around. He walked into one of many rooms around. He saw a human officer in the room. He was certainly higher ranking so Wes'an approached him. Human officer turned around.
"Hello. My name is Wes'an Farrus. I am one of the new trainees which came here earlier." said Wes'an
"Ok. Let me check you in the database" said human officer
Officer went to nearby terminal and looked over Wes'ans file.
"Well well. You graduated with high grades and it said that you can handle firearms remarkably well. I am pleased to accept you to a C-Sec investigator." said the human officer with a little smile on his face
"Thank you" said Wes'an smiling
"Now i have a case that needs someone to look into. You seem to be the right guy for it." said the human officer
"Im interested" replied Wes'an
"A krogan bounty hunter has been harrassing C-Sec for too long time. His name is Garos. You will get him under custody. No firefighting. We dont want any more investigators dead. He has been found usually in markets. I will wait here for your return with the krogan." said the human officer
"I will get it done." replied Wes'an with great confidence.
(Continued in Markets)
Apocalypse - April 11, 2008 04:05 PM (GMT)
(continued from markets)
Wes'an moved slowly through the C-Sec headquarters. He was wounded very badly and had lost a lot of blood. Just before he passed out he got to the human officers office.
"Get medical team here now! We got a wounded investigator here!" shouted the human officer
Hours passed...
Wes'an opened his eyes slowly and saw two blurry figures. Other one was the human officer but he couldnt see who the other one was.
"How long was I out?" asked Wes'an quietly
"Seven hours...we thought that you would never make it. You had lost so much blood." said the human
"You are very strong willed turian Wes'an. Thats the only reason you survived." said the other figure
Wes'ans eyes werent blurry anymore. He saw a beautiful asari doctor.
"Thank you for saving me." thanked Wes'an
He felt that something was missing. He looked at his right arm.
"Your arm was too badly wounded so it had to be..." said the asari doctor
"No! I didnt want this!" screamed Wes'an
His arm was replaced by a mechanical one. Suddenly he felt himself very weak and collapsed to the bed.
"I know that this is a lot to handle. Rest now becouse you will be needed soon." said the asari doctor with a very comforting voice
Then Wes'an settled down and slept...
Apocalypse - April 11, 2008 06:51 PM (GMT)
Wes'an woke up. He felt much better and didnt feel any pain in his hand anymore. Moment later the asari doctor came to the room.
"Hello Wes'an. How are you feeling?" asked the asari doctor
"Much better thank you. I think I am ready to get up now." replied Wes'an
The asari doctor helped Wes'an to stand up.
"My name is Salia Co'sot by the way." said Salia
"Nice to meet you Salia." said Wes'an
Now Wes'an focused on his new synthetic arm. He could move it just like the other hand. He felt it. It was actually better arm than the one he had earlier.
"I will get used to this. I have to." said Wes'an silently
"Here are your weapons and armour." Salia said and pointed the nearby desk
Wes'an walked to the desk and grabbed his armour. He suited up in his Phantom armour. Then he holstered his pistol and put his shotgun on his back.
"I will see you around..." said Wes'an to Salia and left the room
He walked to the human officers room. He saw the officer arguing with an ambassador.
"He did nothing wrong! The krogan shot him first and then he only defended himself and everyone around him!" shouted the officer to the ambassador
"I am sorry. He is suspended for his too fast trigger finger! His orders were to detain the krogan and he failed!" shouted the ambassador back to the officer
Then the ambassador mumbled something and left the room. On his way out of the room he looked at Wes'an with a nasty look on his face. Wes'an didnt care about it and walked to the officer.
"Well i guess you heard what he said. You are suspended for not taking orders. I said that they can go to hell but i guess someone much higher positioned made a call that i could do nothing about it. I am sorry." said the officer
"I know that you tried your best. I dont sometimes understand about the higher ranking people. I just lost my arm and they suspend me. Everything in C-Sec is bound by rules but i guess we can do nothing about it..." replied Wes'an
"I agree. I honour what you did and i dont regret any of things that i said to that ambassador. I believe that i havent introduced myself properly yet. My name is Kyle Detas. I will be your superior from now on. But we have to think of something for you while youre suspended." said Kyle with a happy voice
"I am glad to meet you Kyle." replied Wes'an
"But you must be tired of all this. Go to your apartment and rest. You have truly earned it. We will discuss later about everything." said Kyle
"Yes sir" said Wes'an and and left

(( continued from Chora's Den ))
Lita would wait for him as he had asked her to do, a hand lightly brushing along the side of her face to get rid of an itch without being to noticeable about it.
"Miss? We can leave when your ready."
She blinked a bit haveing not paid much attention as to what he'd been doing, before reliezing that he was talking to her, and that he had walked back over to her for that matter.
Doing her best to seem as though she was just indiffrent, rather than haveing been caught off guard, she gave a soft and slight nod of her head. "I'm ready to go, an my name is Lita Robin Asagiri, or just Lita, officer Herus."
On the way to c-sec she couldnt help but to notice just how diffrent she looked from everyone else, and that she really didnt seem to fit in with them, seeing as she spotted more than a few people stoping to take a look at her.
She would only offer a smile in return, though she was begining to think that comeing here was a mistake to begin with, as she followed the inestagator to c-sec, and feeling quite a bit of relief when they finally arrived.
Skyllian Blitz - May 22, 2008 08:02 AM (GMT)
Herus let his feet do the walking while his mind settled itself comfortably. Naturally, as an investigator, this ment that his mind was searching for every little thing out of place along the way.
"Illegal parking of Rapid Transport vehicle, suspicious trader at the markets, drunk patrons walking from Flux..." his mind ticked off, storing the little bits of information away for later use. As such, he noticed just out of place Ms. Asagiri was amongst the Citadel. Quite odd for someone hired at Chora's, usually the girls were a lot more naturalised.
They arrived at C-Sec in due time where Herus ushered Lita into his office, though not without some fanfare from the officers in the cubicles.
"Hey Herus! You're supposed to tke them home, not to work!" called one of the junior officers.
"Knock it off, Wells!" snarled Herus. "Since you have enough time to make comments, get your arse down to the holding area and start processing the Chora's Den witnesses!"
As Herus shut the door, the desk officers could be heard mocking poor investigator Wells.
"Sorry about that, Ms. Asagiri." he apologised. "Please take a seat."
He motioned for her to do so as he sat behind his desk.
"Now I understand that you were suppose to be starting work at Chora's today? Can you tell me how and why you got the job and if there were any special or unusual circumstances when doing so."
ScarletTears - May 24, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
"Now I understand that you were suppose to be starting work at Chora's today? Can you tell me how and why you got the job and if there were any special or unusual circumstances when doing so."
Lita sat down in the chair slowly, crossing one leg over the other as was her habbit from where she'd grown up whenever she'd ended up in a police station. Looking to Herus directly she smiled softly and shook her head very slightly, "Well to tell the truth it didnt seem strange, i placed a call after seeing an add that they were hireing. I suppose the only reason that i was given a job is because it's what i used to do before i moved here..."
She paused for a second or two to glance aroud the office at the various accomodatios that she somewhat expected to see since he'd told her he was one of the senior officers of c-sec. Then as somewhat as a side note she added, "it's alright about the other officers... i'm more used to getting that kind of attention than just being stared at cause i dont fit in...., i really dont know anything about what had happened at chora's den other than that i wasnt allowed to pass by the blockade that was setup."
She went to stand up so she could leave, assumeing that he wouldnt want to talk to her about herself or where she had come from, an that he'd only brought her to the station to see if she'd known anything about what had happened at chora's. Though she could say one thing was for sure, if she decided to work at Chora's after this incident, there would certinly be quite a few customers from the officers in the main area.
Skyllian Blitz - May 26, 2008 06:09 AM (GMT)
Herus nodded, taking down a few notes on his terminal before closing the file. It was quite understandable, given Lita's appearance, for the male officers of C-Sec to react that way but Herus had enough years under his belt to keep his mind focused on the job.
Of course, that wasn't to say he didn't notice Ms. Asagiri's attributes. He was just better at hiding his reactions.
"Officially, this sort of behaviour is discouraged amongst officers so on behalf of C-Sec, we offer you an apology. I-" Herus stopped as there was a knock at the door. "Come in."
The door opened and a salarian officer came in. "Naltar? The body count came back from Chora's. Fifteen dead, five patrons and ten suspects. About another twenty with various injuries including Ms. Rousseau who is in a medically-induced coma. We won't know when she will recover."
Damn. Herus thought. The media was going to have a field day with this and Executor Pein was not going to be happy.
"Executor Pein's off-station so looks like I'm handling the press release. Get me any info you can on the attackers. I'll need it to feed the media."
"I'll have something within the half-hour." the salarian walked out and closed the door.
Turning back to Lita, Herus spoke. "I'm sorry to say that I don't know when the bar will be open again with the owner a coma indefinitely. It looks like you'll need to find some other form of employment in the meantime. Unless..."
He checked his terminal for employment positions at C-Sec and there were a few openings, mainly secretarial jobs and temp duties.
"There are a few positions available here at C-Sec for file processing. Basically we need a few workers to help sift through our backlog of old cases for filing. I can put in a recommendation if you would like."
"Otherwise I hear that Doran at Flux hires waitresses regularly. The club might be more suited towards your abilities. You would definitely earn quite a bit in tips." The last comment was given off-handedly so it was difficult to tell whether it was a statement of fact or a compliment.
ScarletTears - May 27, 2008 05:00 PM (GMT)
Lita had paused for a few seconds when she'd heard the end results, and though it didnt really affect her, she couldnt help but to feel a slight bit sorry for the familes and friends of those who'd died. Of course she did her best not to show those emotions, but regardless anyone who was looking would notice that something was on her mind at the very least.
"Otherwise I hear that Doran at Flux hires waitresses regularly. The club might be more suited towards your abilities. You would definitely earn quite a bit in tips."
She hadnt done anything more than to stand up from the chair she'd been sitting in, when she looked back to Herus, though the options for work he'd given her were on her mind the thing that was most persistant was the question, if he had just given her a compliment or not.
With a light smile Lita would once again sit down in the chair across from his desk, her legs once again crossing one over the other as her hands would run down her sides to smooth out her dress a slight bit.
"Well i suppose i'd fit in better with the crowd as a waitress an all, but i would suppose that you guys have alot better benefits than a waitress job offers. Not to mention it looks like you could use a few more pretty faces around here."
;Not to mention i'd probably have more luck tracking down my parents killers.; She thought to herself before realising she'd cut herself off by mistake, "so ahhh... what positions do you have that are still open, an do i need a uniform?"
Ariadne - May 28, 2008 09:08 AM (GMT)
Myira got off the elevator from the docks, having just disembarked from the Courageous Spirit, and blinked. The C-Sec Academy was all in a buzz.
Looks like shore leave won't be as boring as I thought, she realised with a smile.
She saw a responsible-looking officer talking to one of her fellow Asari and gravitated towards him.
"Investigator Naltar, isn't it?" she said. She was pretty sure she'd got it right - she remembered the limp and the leathery face from when she'd last been serving on the Citadel proper. "What's happening? Is there anything I can do to help?"
She found it hard to keep the eagerness out of her voice. Serving on the Courageous Spirit was fun, but she did miss the good old investigations on the Citadel.
Skyllian Blitz - May 29, 2008 12:14 PM (GMT)
Just before Herus could answer Lita, an enthusiastic young asari officer bounded in.
"Investigator Naltar, isn't it? What's happening? Is there anything I can do to help?" the officer asked.
It took a moment for Herus to place the officer's uniform. The pips on her gave it away, however, and Herus vaguely recalled the enthusiasm. One of the green recruits who transferred to Citadel Fleet.
"Ah yes, Corporal Alteri," Herus read off her nametag. "Perhaps you can assist Ms. Asagiri here with orientation around HQ." He turned back to Lita.
"The positions we have a available are in the administration department. Most tasks will involve sorting through a backlog of cold cases and unsolved crimes, entering the details into the database and filing them away in storage. Dress code is informal, though we do ask some for modicum of modesty to be observed."
Herus clicked opened up a program on his terminal.
"We do need to do a background check before you can start but I don't see any problems with you taking the tour around the office in the meantime, to get some idea of what it's like to work here. Here's a visitor's tag." He pulled open a drawer and picked out a red badge to hand over.
"An officer at the front desk can conduct the tour for you if you're still interested, unless the corporal here wishes to. The offers good until next week so take the time to consider" Herus turned back Myira.
"I have to prepare for a press conference in twenty minutes so I'll have work for you after. Until then, your time is your own. Unlike me." Herus shook his head at the thought of all the paperwork.
ScarletTears - May 30, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
Lita would smile lightly as she uncrossed her legs and stood up from the chair, before she was able to reach for and accpet the red visitor's tag. An seeming as it was really the only place she could put it she clipped the pass onto the right shoulder strap of her black dress.
"alright, well if you have any questions that might arise from the background check i'll be happy to answer them of course," she smiled somewhat sincerly as she already knew that there probably would be more than a few question's from all the blank spots that were more than likely in her background.
Seeming as Herus seemed to be swamped with work she took it upon herself that it would be best to let him be as she turned towards the other asari who had walked into the office.
She moved swiftly and gracefully as she always did as she introduced herself, "Ms. Alteri? my name's Lita Asagiri, a pleasure to meet to you."
Offering a slight smile she would extend her hand in offer of a formal greeting handshake, while takeing the oppertunity to glance over the corporal's uniform.
Ariadne - May 30, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
Myira took the offered hand. "Call me Myira. The pleasure is mutual, I assure you." She then grinned. "We've both been among humans too long, I think! It's great to see a new asari around - we're outnumbered by the turians and even the humans around here..."
She paused, trying to figure out what to show the potential recruit. "I've been serving on the Fleet for a while now," she apologised. "So I'm not sure what we should start off with. Where would you like to go first? I know!" she exclaimed, before Lita could get a word in. "How about the complaints lounge? Better get the worst part over with first, after all."
ScarletTears - May 30, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Lita couldnt help but lightly giggle as she nodded in agrement, "mmhhmm, i dun think i've even seen another asari here untill just now actually.... guess that means us asari will have to stick together."
She would smile a bit more as she listened "How about the complaints lounge? Better get the worst part over with first, after all."
A Slight shrug would be made as she replied lightly, "Well seeming as i dont know my way around here, i guess i'll just follow ya wherever you go, but i do suppose getting the worst over with would be best to start with."

Myira nodded. "It's not as bad as I think it is," she admitted. "It's just that all of those people moaning about things that we usually have no power over sets my teeth on edge. Human idioms again!" She beckoned for Lita to follow and they set off up the stairs.
"You'll really enjoy working for C-Sec," she said as they mounted the steps. "For a while, at least. There's at least ten years before this place loses its allure. Then," she grinned again, "it's off into the expanse of space. Do you travel much, Lita?"

Jax finished up a twenty page formal letter to the council before turning off the light in the office. He felt as if the day wasn't over yet when the Citadel's mainframe had been attacked about 400 billions times and all of it had to be fix by him. Even though it was the end of the day, fixing so many of the blundered attacks by the hackers, trojan attackers, and wanna-be famous attackers all failed to bring down the almighty.
Hovering over the table to gather a few things before leaving, he notice that someone left their badge behind. Without a second thought, Jax placed the badge in a pocket and left the office.
Jax encountered a fellow Turian who was not pleased to see him.
"You sir need to explain yourself about the hacker who had by-passed our secured firewall and was able to place a picture of skull and crossbones who was about to show them on the telescreens in the Presidium before one of our rookie was able to stop it. Are you mad?" The turian had the smell of drunkeness.
"The only thing I need to explain about myself was that I had a crappy childhood." Jax gave him the badge.
"You also forgot this, you know leaving your badge behind is a major security risk. What if a terrorist got a hold of it, used it, and planted a thermal nuclear weapon in the gardans of one of the council members? Now that would not be soothing to your tough mind would it?" Jax walked passed the turian who was the senior Network advisor to his team. His name was Krillik but alot of the team members forgot who his real name was and just nicknamed him Cen.
Jax slowly walked into the small mess hall where he was able to relax and release all the stress through viewing some of the news he had missed out throughout the day of his working in keeping the Citadel safe.

"it's off into the expanse of space. Do you travel much, Lita?"
Lita would shake her head lightly as she responded, "no not really i dont, well not as far as moveing from one planet to another anyways. This is my first time haveing traveled somewheres else in the galaxy really."
She would follow Myira slowly up the stairs, doing her best to make sure that she didnt trip on the dress she was wearing as it continued to cling to her legs as she moved. "so how long have you been working in c-sec Myira?"

Herus sat down to try to sort out the headache the media release and the Chora's Den imposters were giving him. There would be fallout from this. Not only did a gun battle occur within spitting distance of the main C-Sec HQ, the fact that there were criminals impersonating C-Sec officers would mean the general public would be distrustful. But before he could get through it all, his door opened again and the salarian from before came in holding a datapad.
"I've got good news and bad news, sir."
Herus groaned. "I'm pretty sure I've established that I hear the bad news first."
"Well, it seems that the Council has intervened and released its own press conference. Officially, they've condemned the violence and congratulated C-Sec on their intervention. However, the entire department is going under independent investigation in light of the fact that we've been impersonated. Unofficially, the council will delay it until Executor Pein returns."
"Well, that's not so bad, what's the good news?"
"We've found a lead when we interviewed the Chora's Den attackers. Turns out they were after some hacker who apparently stole billions of credits from the Council and C-Sec over the years."
"That's good news? How the hell did someone get past the network security, if they actually did, and manipulate the finances?"
"Sir, they were pretty convinced. They even had a list of the transactions." The salarian handed over the datapad.
Herus's eyes narrowed as he scanned the records. "Send this down to the network boys and see if they can dig through the records and verify this. There's hell to pay if this is true. I'll be down shortly."
"Yes sir." replied the salarian.

Myira considered Lita's question.
"I reckon it was a decade of service here before I got bored," she said finally. "Then, of course, I asked for a transfer into the Fleet."
She saw the expression on Lita's face - a familiar one, from both Asaris and aliens. "I know, I know, my superiors are always telling me I'm flighty even for a subcentenarian, but we're not Maidens forever, right? We've got to enjoy ourselves before we enter Matronhood and are stuck with children of our own." She paused. "I don't think I'll ever be ready for my own children, but I guess that's what all Maidens say - ah, sorry, I've been talking for a while. Oh! Here we are..."
The complaints room was quieter than usual. Myira cast an experienced eye around the room and deduced that the complainers had taken note of the solemn faces around the C-Sec staff. Whatever happened must have been big, if it scared the complainers off.
There were still a few around, though. The volus, for one. She pointed one out to Lita.
"You see a lot of races around here, but volus seem most common, probably because they're so small." She grimaced. " 'The job of a soldier is to protect even the smallest sentients from harm.' That's what Samin would have said, anyway. My Turian mentor," she added, realising as usual that she'd been talking as if the other asari knew automatically what she'd been talking about. "Come on, let's see if we can help them out."
((OOC: If you want to make up an amusing problem for the volus, then go ahead, otherwise talk about how Lita leaves Myira to it while she looks around, or something. Your choice ;) ))

Upon returning to the office, one of the interns began quoting something off the monitor. Jax figure for them just reading something interesting before passing by the monitor.
"Looks like we got a rat going through the systems sir." Tallis interrupted Jax's path.
"What do you mean?" Jax replied.
"Looks like they want us to find the hacker who attacked at Chora's Den. We already did a database search of all possible and known affiliates of most of the known terrorist orginizations. None came up sir."
"Damnit. Lets see...re-write the code on the program to find hackers coming from ships." Jax felt that this could hinder a problem as only a few people are known to hack through other computers from a ship. Though this could also be wrong. Jax configured if the hacker could be located on a ship.
"It will take two hours tops, In the mean time it looks like we are going to need to secure the main lines leadings in and out of Chora's Den." Tallis gave the datapad to Jax.
"Heres a briefing on what is currently going on, I'm going to go and work with the other interns." Tallis soon then left the area.
Jax looked through the datapad, after reading through the briefing he placed the datapad into his pocket and walked over to his computer. The office lights flashed on and off a bit, Jax almost got chills mainly because lights dont flash on and off - not in this manner. He shrugged it off and began working on the case through his computer.

Lita would smile happily as she listened, the fact that Myria had started to talk as though they'd known each other for years didnt bother her in the least bit, seeming as it let her feel somewhat at home within the c-sec hq.
"Well, i suppose i should at the least, especially sense i might end up working in this department an all, though i hope that's not the case," She replied somewhat half heartedly, seeming how she'd always had to deal with her own problems by herself, the concept of helping someone else, or even asking someone else for help was a bit on an alien concept to her.
She walked towards the desk where the Volus was slowly, trying her best not to draw attention towards herself though she could "feel" that at least a few people were indeed looking at her. Wondering why she had to choose to wear the dress she stopped a few feet from the volus and did her best to smile sincercly as she asked, "hello sir, what seems to be the problem today?"
The volus would take a slight glance over the two asari, and then looking to myria before even bothering to say anything at all, "yes, you look like you might work here, i run a vendor in the markets and a human has been stealing mod's from me, and this human here doesnt seem to care about it at all."
Ariadne - June 10, 2008 05:29 PM (GMT)
"Stealing? That's a very serious claim," Myira said, faking concern while her mind wandered. "What is the name of this human, and what evidence do you have?"
It was strange how easy it was to slip into the old 'helpful C-Sec agent' guise, but Myira reasoned that it had only been one year since she'd left.
"If you give us the human's name, we can investigate this further," she added.

Herus looked over the hacker transactions as he walked to C-Sec's network division. The electronic trail looked to be non-existent. Hopefully the analysts could pick something out.
Walking into the cool, air-conditioned network centre, he waved over the nearest free officer.
"Here's the full list of the transactions that our hacker supposedly made. Pick out the trail and get me names. Chances are they're using a broker to launder the credits."
