well, i would plan it out better, but i found out i had time today and SaMaster the same, so we are going to do it today..sorry for the inconvenience and quickness of planning. Usually, when we plan it over a month or so, something happens, so maybe we'll plan for a week instead. You can still come back later and see a summary of what we said, you just can't post on it because we would be gone by then.

TOPIC: Safety on the Forum

We had a good talk, SaMaster and I of what should be done to prevent spammers and people like YALLSUX from entering the forum.

Here are our ideas:

First, when someone joins a ADMIN or MOD must validate.
When this is done, we will add to the member joining pages something like a resume. For example, when they first sign up and such ,we have a page in which they need to post if they are on any other forum, website, community, etc. Then we go to those places, and see if that person is there and what their story is. If they lie, they are not accepted. If they have a bad record, they are not accepted. If they are telling the truth and is a good member, they will be allowed to enter.

Also, we are thinking of having a page instead of just the forums when you visit the site. Like on ProBoards, you need to log in to get to the forum or join.

Last, we did not get to talk about this subject. But, we are planning to put restrictions on what you can say about yourself. Hackers and stupid, lowlife people like YALLSUX can use this information to find you, hurt you, etc. I will post a separate section in the Rules section of a few easy ones in which nobody should complain about. Then, the next meeting we will add, change, etc these restrictions.
