Basic Physical Description: Slender and tall, She is a very attractive young woman. Skin like porcelain, she is a beauty and knows it. She has a dancer-like body and is very lithe in the way she moves. From time to time, the colour of her eyes will change the shade of green they are depending on her mood.
The most striking features she has, are her green eyes and of course her red hair. She is proud to be "ginger" hair, despite all the superstitions of red haired people. She loves being a redhead and is willing to test the "Other" things said about redheads. She just has not yet found that person who can keep up with her, not that there has been many, quite a few actually, but she is just willing to have a little fun. Her hair is also long, and can be straight, or as wild as she is feeling that day.
Personality: Quick to smile despite her mutation, she is always out to have fun, no matter the costs. She likes to have fun, and will always join in any mission that is proposed, if her skills are what is needed. She hates to be idle, and will often go out and find things to do. She likes things such as wealth, being treated like a person, as well as she loves a night on the town. Generally friendly, she has as of late become a little bitter and withdrawn because of her powers.
She dislikes racism, against Mutants to be more precise. She will often start a fight if mutant affairs are being contested. She is not adverse to killing, if the need arises and she rarely feels guilt if someone is injured. Having lived in Belfast, with daily bombings, she became immune to the sight and stench of death.
All in all, she is generally a good person. Sometimes quiet, sometimes overly boisterous. She loves to have fun and will prove that she can have fun with the best of them. She is very loyal to those she thinks highly of, and if someone is close enough to be her friend, she will do anything for them, including laying down her life for them. In battle though, she is a force to be reckoned with, and can often be considered something to fear. It is not best to get on her bad side, for she has been known to seek revenge.
Mutant Powers: Electricity. She can absorb and harness the power of electricity so that when she attacks, she literally shocks someone. Her “voltage” has not yet been tested, but its possible that she can harness up to if not more then one million volts at each attack. She calls it her ‘Hell’Shock. This is her strongest attack. She can hit someone with so much electricity that she can blow them off of their feet, and throw them several hundreds of yards. It is very similar to a lightning strike. She can manipulate electricity around her, causing a blackout, increasing her electric power. She can touch anything electrified and not be harmed by it.
She can use natural electricity, electricity in the air naturally to power herself up. She can also use electricity from power generators, electrical poles, anything that conducts electricity. It is as simple as touching a light switch to charge herself, or as complex as tapping herself into a circuit breaker. While she is “charged” her eyes take on an ethereal glow, like the power you would see resonating from a tesla coil. She throws her electricity via her hands, as well as being able to focus her electricity into a single bolt of electricity.
She can also predict electrical storms, as she is very much in tune with electricity itself. She can find the source of power by sending out little sparks. By focusing her powers that way, she can usually, if the source is close enough, shut things down. There is no electrical lock that can keep her out. She can also charge anything electrical without ever having batteries.
Weaknesses: Like a battery, she will have to recharge after a grueling fight. This can take anywhere from 2 hours to a month depending on the extent of the damage or how much power she uses. Like anyone else, she takes as long as it takes for her body to heal from wounds.
She is always ‘charged’ which means she will always shock people if she touches them, or she will cause a spark if she touches metal. Like walking on carpet and dragging your feet, she will shock something all the time. This does get to be annoying, as she always has to ground herself before she touches anything. If she does not, she can short out the power in a house if she turns on the light. She can cause a computer to crash, as well as anything she walks by will react, going fuzzy, or scrambling. Because of this, she rarely watches television or listens to the radio.
She can overload, her own power causing her to shut down. This ties in with how long she will be out of commission. She kind of enjoys these times because during them, she does not shock people when she touches them. Because of the range of intensity of her shocks, it is difficult for her to be close to anyone as the first time she was intimate with a boy, she shocked his heart into failure. The boy did not live.
She also is not too fond of water, as we all know what happens when you put something charged into water, not a very good idea. She can charge the air around her so that water does not touch her, but to keep that specific skill up, and attack someone, she will burn out faster then normal.
Other Abilities/ talents: A skilled dancer. She also has the ability to learn languages very easily. She is a Polyglot, and speaks at this moment 11 different languages including, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese as well as many others.
Basic History: Born in Ireland, Belfast to be exact, she grew up with the stories of the IRA and of course Sinn Fein, the organization she was named after. Her Sean father, an electrician, her mother, Ruari a school teacher. They lived with the daily bombings, and knowing that her parents were actually members of the IRA, they kept the harder stuff from their daughter.
They always knew she was different. Household appliances seemed to burn out quickly, and their thoughts for how different their daughter was, was proven when she was 15 years old. The year her powers manifested, the boy next door died from what the autopsy called as a “Short” to his heart. Fearing that their daughter would be persecuted against, the family moved to the United States, Boston to be exact, where she came in contact with Charles Xavier. She was asked to attend the school, but she declined, wanting to try to live as normal as a life as she could.
When she was 19, both of her parents were killed during an anti mutant rally. This turned her against humans, and unfortunately, made her a little bitter to about the non mutant race. Having attended a rally with Magneto, she found that what he spoke of was better then the alternative, which was to live in fear. Finding people like herself, she fits in with the ragtag assembly, and considers the Brotherhood her second family.
Like anyone else, she wants a happily ever after, but does not think it will be a reality.
