Hello everyone!

So, as you likely know, we've been up and running for about three weeks or so now. In that time, we have grown in ways that I certainly did not expect. I am excited to move forward with this board!

As we are still quite new, however, I am curious as to whether you have any comments or suggestions for the administrators to take into consideration.

Maybe you'd like a different forum up somewhere? Maybe you have a fantastic plot idea? Regardless, I'd love to hear what you think.

Well can I make a suggestion? For some reason the board does not fit on my screen so I have to screen left or right in order to see if there are new posts. Maybe make a different button so that we know there are new posts rather then the x that it at the edge of every forum? On the main screen?
If you need an example I can show you, but I thought that might be helpful.

If you go to the bottom of the board and click on todays active topics it will show you the new posts.

that works for one day. When you are off for a few days, it only shows the new topics for the day you are on, not two days ago. <Shrugs>

Actually when I did the graphics in the beginning, I considered making a different icon to signify new posts in the board, but then (mostly out of personal preference than anything else) decided not to. If it's something that bothers many people however, I would be willing to change it.

What's your screen resolution Jo?
Anyone else have a problem with the board not fitting on their screens?

That's weird, Jo... it fits fine on my screen and I have a laptop.

Well the resolution that my monitor wants does not work with my screen. If I put it at the requires size, it makes the texts really small. And my browser refuses to fit the screen so I cannot have it on the correct size. And I can also make buttons if you need them. Its just being dyslexic you kind of have to stick with what you can read. and little tiny text, nearly impossible to see.

I can't really do much about the screen size then, Jo.
And I'm fine making the buttons, I just actually prefer not to differentiate, so I'll only do it if it's something that a lot of members would like.

A list with everyones powers so there aren't any repeats.

I've noticed that the forum, New York City has a lot of topics,and will probably be the location used most in Other IC Places. Perhaps a subforum inside it would prove useful?
Basically with just central New York, the park, and other things.

I also second the power list, and offer to help compile all of the powers.
Perhaps a power list, and a link to the character's profile. Alphabetized.


Also, colors for the various groups on the board, so it's easy to see a character's alliance just by looking at the color of their name.
(e.g. all morlock names appear in green, x-men in blue, brotherhood in red)
I'm aware that the alliance themselves are in color below a character, but it's possible to make the character's name the same color as their alliance.

Tonic: I hadn't noticed your suggestion and I don't think Lane did either. If I can muster up the motivation to go through all the cast to do the list anytime soon, I will (lol).

Mel: The subforum issue is one I keep reminding myself to solve but then forget. I will try to get to that.
As you noted, there is actually a color system for the alliances, one you will note in the group titles of the characters (underneath the group icons) and one employed throughout the board for various listings (cast, team, plot, etc.). I am aware of the fact that the same can be done for character names/accounts, but chose not to do such out of simple personal preference when doing the layout.
(X-Men, Generation X, Brotherhood , Morlocks, Neutral, Humans)
