Basic Physical Description: A rather handsome and slim man with a usually rugged complexion, tanned skin and bright blue eyes that shine from his face. Around medium length, mostly falling in short, sharp bangs at the sides, with an over-grown fringe that parts roughly in the middle of his forehead, though slightly more to the right, and falls down, partly obscuring his eyes. It sticks up at the top a little bit, and hangs down past his neck at the back. Mostly jet black, but with hints of honey gold streaks in it, In his right ear hangs an ear ring and his body is decorated with tattoos that give a slight peer into his semi-religious life. On his left arm he has an angel on the inner part, naked except for a strategically placed winding strip of cloth that winds around the angels body. Its wings are flared out dramatically. On the shoulder of the same arm a dragon starts from the shoulder, winding down his bicep and stopped just above his elbow. The dragon is exactly like one from ancient Chinese myth. On his right arm he has an intricate Chinese pattern sketched around the entire upper area of his arm, which is mostly in black and white, but has four falling, red leaves on it. Finally, he has two gun tattoos on his abdomen area. The two guns sit pointing downwards, towards his groin area, and both guns look very organic, and they both have figure heads on their grips, one of Jesus and one of the Virgin Mary. Both guns also sprout angelic wings from their hammers.

Dann frequently dresses in casual, simple clothing and does not have a big flair. He wears black a lot, but not in a mall goth kind of way. Frequently he can also be found wearing bright colours, reds, blues, whites and greens. Usually he always wears jeans and frequently adds battered vans to his look, although it’s not unusual for him to also wear normal loafers or sneakers. His jeans are nearly always too big for him, so he adds a leather belt to keep them up. He normally always accessorizes with arm warmers, wrist bands and a cheap digital watch too. When going out, Olek doesn’t change much from his casual clothes. Usually he’ll tidy up his appearance and make sure his hair is in its best condition, add some decent looking shoes and a short sleeved shirt over this to make himself look more presentable.
In formal occasions, it wouldn’t be unknown for him to wear a suit, although he wouldn’t look spick, span and tidy in it. He’d wear the top buttons undone, the tie loose and the jacket open, although it would all be freshly pressed and clean. He’d look tidy, handsome and roguish. It would be incredibly difficult – but not impossible – to get the Scot into a kilt, but this wouldn’t happen less he were at a wedding.

Personality: Bright, bubbly and warm hearted, but also energetic and hyper, Dann can often come off as loud mouthed and annoying. He’s kind to everyone, often finding himself in situations that require his warmness to settle them. Dann respects women, although that doesn’t stop him from being flirty with them. Although he is a womanizer, he has shown great interest in the same sex as well as the opposite.
Despite his easy going, laid back personality he is loyal and stands up for his friends. Loyal despite his seemingly casual side, Dann would probably stop at nothing to defend those he truly cares about. Dan doesn’t like his personal life spoken about, and often gets brash and angry when people mention it, especially when his sexual orientation is concerned.

Dann has a serve trust issue which formulated around the fact that he put far too much faith into people who would ultimately betray him. Instead of using this as a reason to stand up for himself, he thickened his skin and acted tough over the whole thing, meanwhile hurting inside. Despite this, he seems to get on well with most mutants, not really caring about their powers so long as they don’t try to hurt him.

Mutant Powers: None; Dann is 100% human.

Weaknesses: Do I still need this with a human character? If so, I’ll fill it in.

Other Abilities/ talents: Dann has a passion for song and dance, having sung in various school functions and done professional dancing since the tender age of eight. Perhaps because of this, Dann has strong legs and this makes him an excellent runner and kick-boxer, two sports he has recently taken up. Although living off his father’s wealth, the Scot does still work at a coffee shop and as such as the gift of the gab. He is also an extremely big flirt and knows his way around the inside of a house’s electrical wiring.

Basic History: Dan was born in Scotland, and he spent his entire life there. His father was – at this point – in the RAF, but soon quit when he was offered a job working as a bodyguard. It was sometime around here that things went wrong for the family, and Dann’s poor mother took to drinking every night. Eventually drink turned to grief, grief turned to anger and anger turned – ultimately – into violence towards Dann. He wasn’t quite aware of what was happening at six, but he assumed that he had been doing something wrong, and took to drawing into himself.

Eventually the abuse stopped when his mother OD’d and his father admitted to the young boy that the reason she had been so strange lately was because she didn’t love him anymore. He explained to the boy that he had met a woman in his new job and the two were going to take Dann to England. Dann spent six further years in England, upon which he picked up his various skills; dancing, singing and flirting. Being quite a success with the ladies as a boy in a ‘awwh, how cute way’ was a massive confidence boost to the boy, and he decided that – as he grew older anyway – he could use this to his advantage.

His image changed from withdrawn, big eyed kid into out-going, warm and roughly an all round flirt. Despite his ‘flaws’ as he saw them (mere scars left over from his mother) the boy was a bigger success than before. As he hit high school, he found himself attracting girls from all over – this came with jealous and violence, of course. But Dann had savvy; he knew already how to fight. Mostly he kept everyone off his back, but probably a few to many on theirs.

This resulted, eventually, in a trip to his headteachers office. The headteacher explained that, while it was right to defend yourself, to over-do-it with skills that his opponents didn’t have was exactly like a big bully picking on a weedy kid. This lesson taught the young Dann more than the headmaster could have hoped for, and Dann began to relinquish his violent outbursts and simple protect himself, giving the bullies less and less ammunition to use against him.

It was around seventeen when he noticed he wasn’t the same as most the guys. His muscles were toned, his body lean and illegally tattooed and although this got him many winks and approving comments from girls, it didn’t quite make him as happy as it could. It was in a private dance class when he met fellow male ballet dancer Leon Lewis that Dann discovered his bisexuality. In a rather heated exchange in the lockers where Leon accused Dann of being in denial, the Scot had his first male kiss. He found it exhilarating to say the least; the surge of the feelings and rush of his blood at what the school looked on as ‘weird’ and ‘wrong’ made him feel rather electric and he and Leon began dating soon after.

Things turned awry when Dann discovered that while he had been dancing, singing, kissing and learning over the past few years without very much communication with his parents – as he had been seeing his step-mother as his real mother – he had been unaware of his father’s now booming career as a bodyguard, and that they were moving to the USA, so his father could work more extensively with a Sony BMG big-wig.

After breaking things off with Leon for this reason and moving, Dann realised that he wouldn’t really need to do much work, considering the wealth his father was amassing. Nevertheless, he began working around and also doing college work. After graduating after 5 years of study with a degree in criminal psychology (the psyche being Dann’s area of interest) he looked into a job working with the police, but considering his lack of enthusiasm, put it off a lot. He’s now working in a coffee shop, while systematically dancing and singing every so often in clubs, with or without bands.

Along the way, Dann picked up the filthy habit of smoking, although he’s been trying to quit on and off for the past few months, going back to it one failed relationship after the other, mainly with his droopy haired fellow bar worker Seth, whom he feels for in a primal way alone.

Sample RP: The cigarette, after nearly ten months, tasted bitter and wonderful, the sharp smoke and nicotine hitting him like a punch to the gut. For a moment, he was breathless, and then it was all the simple matter of breathing in slowly with those long drags off the cigarette, letting his smoke drift listlessly toward the ceiling of his bedroom, and watching it disparate somewhere above.

He hadn't bothered to open a window. Perhaps there was some small part of him that hoped that he'd be able to smoke enough to feel the cavernous space of his apartments and smother out the pitiful existence that he was becoming. Really, it was all quite juvenile and foolish. He wondered where he had gotten the delusion that he could ever be happy with a person, and decided he'd rather not know. It was probably some survival instinct he had long since tried to quell—he was a lone-wolf. He didn't need someone around him at all times, just a casual acquaintance to warm his bed on overly lonely nights. The idea that there was ‘Someone’ for him was always foolish; he wasn't made for it. And hell, even if he had been, he no doubt would have had it ruined by his father, or his friends, or the fate herself.

Or was it just that he'd told himself that for so long that he sabotaged every attempt he made? A part of him supposed that was much more likely.
He drew another cigarette from the pack, twirled it between his fingers, and wondered if he had any beer. He was thankful it was a holiday; his father would have had his hide for his over indulgence if he had been jipping classes to lull in his mild depression, instead of going and learning, or teaching, or being shot at, beaten or thrown; whatever torturous activity the world had come up with to throw at him today.

Once again, he was a hermit. Nobody seemed to notice this time. There was no brief concern from his father, however misplaced; no tried condolences from Seth or Mischa or anyone. Then again, they didn’t know what had happened this time. Last time he had gone off the radar it had been because he and Seth had gotten into a fight. He hadn't so much as thought of calling Leon, who no doubt would have told him to get over himself and while he was at it to smarten his act up and wash.

And while it was peaceful to be left to his own devises, it was disconcerting to be left alone with his thoughts. Being left alone with ordinary thoughts would have sucked, but his just made things hurt. He had been in his dorm three days, stopping his wallowing in self pity to shower himself regularly and clear his hair, eating enough to keep him alive.

The smoke, blue-gray and hazy, floated across his ceiling in listless circles, rotated by the fan in his front room. He couldn't say that he was depressed—he'd been depressed, when he'd been young, when his mother had abused him and all he had left was the Leon—because there were no excuses, no real attempts to take his life. But he was sullen, listless like the smoke from his cigarettes. Completely detached.

I see no issue with this at all, it's a great app. It may be a little bit difficult to fit the character (a non-mutant) into threads, but I'm sure that you knew that already. Let me know if you need an RP partner and feel free to PM me if you have any questions. :) Welcome aboard!
