As much as Lorna rather enjoyed the mansion, and she did why else would she even still be there if she didn't, it could be a rather entrapping place to pass the time. At twenty two, Lorna didn't exactly fit in with the students and honestly, some of them tried her patience, so she couldn't just go and hang out with them. At least not today. The green haired mutant wasn't willing to put up with the gossip and the preadult angst they carried around. She had enough of all that in herself to want to discuss it with other people at the moment. It wasn't that it was a particularily emotional day or anything, she just wasn't in the mood. What Lorna was in the mood for was a cart of ice cream, and something mindless. Sure, she would regret it later and probably go for a jog to work off the extra sugar and calories, but for the time being, she was going to eat it. Already, Lorna was reasoning it out with herself. She was never going to be a Jean Grey, perfect in everyway, so why try? Why not indulge a little here and there. Couldn't hurt any more right? Right. Ice cream it was.

She slipped in and out of the kitchen with her ice cream in hand, a spoon and made her way to the den. A few students passed her by, raised an eyebrow and Lorna just scowled back at them. It didn't matter what they thought. Not really. She just kept walking toward the den, opening the lid as she went.

Lorned entered the den and plopped down onto the couch. She put the ice cream in her lap and looked around for the remote. She found it, out of her reach. The young woman narrowed her green eyes a bit and sighed. Of course it was out of her reach. Taking a steady breath, she concentrated on finding the metalic fibers that it was wired with and gently pulled it toward herself. It slid, seemingly effortlessly until it clinked against a vase and she stopped. "Damn." She was trying to be discreet. "This is what I get for being subtle. Apparently, I can't do subtle." She threw her hands up in the head and wound up lifting the remote off the table and 'flying' it to herself. "Thank you, metal." She smirked.
