Here is an Epic I've written, called "Drascus". Pleas DO NOT WRITE IN IT. POST REVIEWS IN THE REVIEW TOPIC

Chapter 1- Unfit for Alendon.

Alendon. Of all the Provinces of Morcia, Alendon was considered the place where the wisest and noblest of them all lived. Many great knights had come from Alendon. And the fact that during the recent Civil War, Alendon was considered the safest place live in due to it's nutrility, Alendon, and the Alendonens, were considered great peacemakers.

Drascus was not an Alendonen.

Drascus swung his mighty sword. He neatly cut through his objective. But, he didn't swing in nobility. Or for peace. He did it for vengence, and for revenge over all of the pain he had to suffer.

"Okay, young Drascus. Stop."

Drascus sneered with anger. He swiftly swiped his sword out of the trianing Siege Tower he was practicing on. The Alendion Chief Knight Trainor, Adicus, was displeased with his actions.

"Drascus, this is exactly why I called you to this private lesson. You fight well, but you don't do it for the right reasons. You fight for vengence, not peace. Anger, not seranity" said Adicus in his gleaming yellowish-purple armor.

"What does it matter how I fight? As long as I win the battle, I've accomplished my task!" shouted Drascus.

"If you fight in anger, then you'll never accomplish your task. Never truly, that is." said Adicus. "Meet me here tommorow at the same time. I'm holding you back one year."

"What!" screamed Drascus "That's against Morcian law!"

"Well, when Mathias became King, that law was disposed of. In good cause, if you ask me" said Adicus.

Adicus picked up his sword, which was leaning on a nearby training target, and walked away, leaving Drascus to ponder his thoughts.

Chapter 2-

That night, Dracus took a swig of drink and swore a word so horrible that if Adicus had heard him, he would have been banished from the Kingdom at a local tavern. Drascus was enraged.

"Why? Why was Adicus stupid enough to think that I can't acomplish anything just 'cause I got angry?" was one of the many thoughts that were flowing through Dracus's mind. He didn't understand why Adicus decided to hold him back one year from Official Knighting. He knew that if Vladek was King, he would already a knight. But alas, he wasen't.

Drascus remembered the Mallekee Civil War as if it were yesterday. It was a bloody war. It was also unecesary, in Dracus's opionion. Mallekee was a good ruler of Morcia.

"They were jealous of Mallekee, I just know it!" thought Dracus.

He remembered how divided Morcia was during the war. He remembered desperetly wanting to fight with Mallekee's militia. He remembered...

A huge army strode down a long, dark field in the knight. This militia... a large militia, certinely... was marching from a hidden base at the borders of Ankoria down to Castle Talonjay. The knights seemed souless, as if they were driven by demonic creatures of darkness, as they marched down into Morcia, Catapults, Battle Wagons, and the occasional Siege Tower lagging behind.

Out of a Battle Wagon, a knight broke out of.

Dracus almost tasted the ground he had fallen onto. He had sneaked into a Mallekee Battle Wagon so he could join the battle against the rebels. He ran to join the marching army. Unfortunetly, someone saw him.

"You! Apprentice Knight! Stop!" shouted King Mallekee on top of his Siege Tower.

Dracus stoped in his track. "Sir," Dracus said, "I want to fight..."

"No, young Knight. You are not fit to fight in such a battle" said Mallekee. "Leave this to us"

Then, a voice was heard from an unkown place- "But you can use anything, O'King".

From the shadows of another battle wagon, the talented knight Sir Vladek came out.

"You must gather what you can, oh great king. Or those who fight harder."

Chapter 3- Thy Day Will Come

Sir Vladek's aromer reflected a horid, blackish color as he spoke his mind.

"I'm sure you will understand my sense, 'oh great king" spoke Vladek influecally, "That we can use as many army men as possible."

Vladek put his arm around Dracus's shoulder.

"This apprentace is a role model. He is the perfect representation of a loyal knight. A subject of Mallekee. A true hero of Morcia. Use him, Mallekee. He is your dream."

Mallekee snarled. "You forget, Vladek, that this knight is far behind in his training. Adicus has given him record low scores in training."

"Adicus? Don't listen to that idiot. He wouldn't know talent and determination if it lashed him in the stomach" sneered Vladek, his face suddenly becoming very stern.

"I don't want a blundering apprentace to get in the way of a serious war like this" said Mallekee. "Young knight, go away. Go hide in shelter, or something" said Mallekee.

Dracus slumped away from Vladek's hold, and slowly walked away.

That was a year ago. Mallekee and his army had been defeated by the rebels. Vladek had refused with agreeing with Mallekee, saying he was only obeying the code. This lead him to being a possible canidate for king. Soon, it was him versus that stupid, naive knight, Sir Mathias, for the thrown of Morcia. Unfortunetly, Mathias won. He became king, and employed Vladek as his advisor. Everything went back to normal.

Dracus's thoughts were interupted by the loud story-telling of the moronic Sir Rascus. Dracus hated him. He represented everything that Dracus wasen't- fame, fortune, and greatness.

Dracus was a misfit. A Rogue.

And he, at that moment in the Tavern, promised himself, he would lead all the Rogues someday. He would lead the Rouges.

Chapter 4- A Time for Celebration and Despair

Dracus walked into the Alendon stadium. This, other than some of the really great Alendion knight's castles, was the biggest construction in the entire province. It was a giant, colliseum-like structure, with room to fit over one thousand people in it's entirety.

Today was the graduation of the Alendion knights from whatever level they were currently on. For instance, if you were on Level 4 of 10, you'd go on to 5 of 10. Dracus was supposed to be going from 10 to a full-fledged knight. But, Adicus had seen to it that he repeated Level 10. Dracus consulted with King Mathias to try and get the king to overule Adicus's desicion, but couldn't.

"King, the mor... my trainer, Sir Adicus, says that I am not to go on to knighthood. He said I am to repeat Level 10. You must overturn his rule! He is wrong!" Dracus had said to King Mathias.

Mathias had only sighed and said "Dracus, even though I am not from Alendon, I still traveled out of Talonjay when I was training in knighthood. I saw you train once when getting some supplies, and you were fighting... well, wrong. You were fighting in order to eliminate the knight you were dueling with, not to gain justice. Adicus agrees with me."

"Don't listen to him!" Dracus had shouted. He ignored all rules of respect for the king as he continued: "He hates me! He's always hated me since I got endurance and strength scores higher than he did when he was a knight! Why should I even bother being here? I should just leave!"

Mathias hadn't seemed to care when he disrespected him. Calling Adicus jealous didn't even bother him, even though it wasen't true. But, the last line suddenly made him very stern.

"Dracus, do not leave the kingdom." Mathias scolded. "That will surely ruin your life. It ruined the lives of good knights who, unfortunetly, were loyal to Mallekee and the code and left because they felt the kingdom was losing its virtue. I shudder to think what happened to them."

Dracus was fuming at this point. "Of course, good king!" he mocked. "I'll be good, my king! Let me scrub Adicus's feet while I'm at it, my king!"

And then he had left.

Dracus had arrived late for the ceremony. Even though he wasen't to be graduating, he still was required to attend it. After a snear from the guard for his tardiness, he entered the stadium. It was a magnifecent place, with a huge field and thousand of Alendions quietly listening to a speaker. Dracus grudgingly to a seat. The Mallekee War hero, Sir Danju, was in the middle of a speach on a balcony.

"These good soon-to-be-knights, squires, and in-training knights are part of a new generation- the generation of hope! The generation that will inspire peace and seranity after the long Civil War! They are the symbol of good! They are Morica itself!"

The Alendions in the stands cheered as if it was Orlan himself speaking. Dracus became sick. What an Idiot. he thought.

"Now, I'll get off this balcony, and make way for the new generation." said Danju. He quickly stepped off the stage as roars emerged from the crowd.

Sir Vladek, or Lord Vladek, as he now was, emerged onto the balcony. He was in charge of all graduation ceremonies. "And now" he said, "Let the graduation begin!"

Dracus barely sat through the graduating of all the Morcians, or what he thought was the worst moment of his life, or at least so far. The snotty Alendions got on stage, puckered up, licked their lips and drunkingly took there medals. Then Adicus spoke of how great they were, or something ignorant like that. Dracus was better than them!

Finally, the last of the graduating Level 10 squires, now a knight, left the stage. Then, Adicus stepped up to the balcony.

"Fellow Alendions, that is an example of true determination!" he started.

Dracus's frusteration grew...

"...They are a symbol of the pride and honor of this province..."

Dracus was ready to kill the next person who mentioned "Alendion" and "Great" in the same sentence...

"...If you are to honor anyone, honor these great heros!" Adicus majestically said.

That did it. Dracus raised his sword and threw it at the balcony. It neatly sliced through a statue on the balcony. Then, over the screams and murmers of astonishment, Dracus stormed out of the stadium.

Chapter 5-Banteras

Banteras was considered the most layed-back, fun Province in Morcia.

Banteras was a bright and vivid place, a get-away for those with problems consisting of war and doom. If you were to enter Banteras, you'd be surprised to see that most of the population were people from another Province on vacation. However, the real treat was the actual Banterians. The Banterians of Banteras were the easiest people to get along with in the entire kingdom. Few people had personal problems. If any, the problems were war-related, such as in the Mallekee war. That was Bantera's darkest time. Horrors had occured in Banteras during Morcia's Civil War. The worst was easily when a rebelious gang of peasents burned down the castle of Lord Datuka, Mallekee's hesitently loyal advisor. Datuka, along with at least a hundred other innocent knights and peasants died in the onslaught.

But, since the war ended, Banteras had quickly recovered. So, as Dracus walked through the streets of the joyful province, he felt a sense of pleasure that he had rarely felt the past few weeks.

A couple of hours ago, Dracus had thrown his sword at the balcony that Adicus was making a speach on. Then, he immediatly left the stadium. He walked out in pure rage and devestation, his thoughts screaming over the cries of surprise from the crowd. Once he was out, Dracus ran.

Dracus didn't think he knew where he was going. He thought he was randomly running through the kingdom, hoping that maybe if he ran long enough, he would run out of the horrible place. Run out of the kingdom. Then, he would find the other intelegent knights who had left the kingdom. They had probably established their own kingdom, a peaceful place where all was good. Then, he would live in peace and harmony in the new kingdom. And who knows? Perhaps if he was good enough, he could become king. He was young enough...

Dracus stopped and looked around, expecting to be in the new kingdom. He had almost said "I'm here," when he comprehended where he was-

Banteras.

And so, Dracus was walking through the streets of Banteras. He figured that, although he haden't known it, he had gone here on purpose. After all, Banteras was a place that even stern Vladek cracked a smile in. He figured he could use the relaxation in the place.

Besides, The Guard would never let him leave.

The Guard was a series of walls built around the kingdom of Morcia. At them, hundreds of Siege Engines and Knights were guarding Morcia, making sure no one got in and no one got out. Plus, they were lead by Vladek, the most brilliant strategest in the Kingdom of Morcia, in Dracus's opionion.

But, he haden't given up hope. He still could exit. He'd find away.

As Dracus walked down the streets, he suddenly heard a cry of terror. Then, he heard a gurgling sound, as if someone was in pain. Quickly, Dracus, along with all the peasants and knights on the street, began looking for the source of the shrieks.

They found it.

Behind a marketstand, Dracus saw that a knight was laying on the ground. A sword was stuck through his chest. And, on the marketstand, a picture of a Dragon had been crudely cut into the wooden structure.

Gasps were heard from the crowd. Parents covered the eyes of their children. Dracus was confused. What was going on?

In the mist of the crowd, a knight pushed his way to the marketplace. As the knight looked over the corpse, Dracus recongnized him as Sir Tritus, the Banterian trainer. Then, he uttered the answer to the perplexing puzzle:

"Karzon."

As gasps came from the crowd, Dracus became even more confused. Who was Karzon? Then, as if Tritus had heard them, he started to speak-

"People, please! Peace!"

The crowd quieted down.

"Now, let me explain. For the past months, we've had problems with a knight-in-training named Karzon. Karzon was obsessed with tricking the enemy to fall into fatal traps. Me and countless other knights tried explaining to him that that was dishonest and against the code. But, that just made him frusterated. Eventually, his frusteration won out. Last night, he snuck out of his castle and killed a nearby guard. Then, used a branding iron, he drew a rough drawing of a snake on the dead guard's armor. We've been searching for him since then. The reason no one has been told is because King Mathias didn't want to cause alarm. Now, where is he?"

As mumbles spread through the crowd, a loud voice blurted out "Well, it could be worse! He could'uve sketched a poodle on them!"

Dracus turned around and saw that Rascus was in the crowd. He had made the comment. The nerve of him! Oh, how Dracus hated him!

"Yup, a poodle would be bad" said Rascus, "Or worse- a mustache! Of course, I guess that'd make him look better..."

Dracus was enfuriated. He shoved his way throught the crowd towards Rascus. Then, he grabbed Rascus by the throat and started yelling.

"What is wrong with you!" shouted Dracus, "Are you stupid? You're just some attention-seeker, wanting to make yourself look good! Karzon was better than you! But don't worry- I bet you that on your next quest, you'll be busy joking about a rock, and some wild dog will come out and rip your head off. I'd like that. Wouldn't you?"

As the crowd stared in shock and utter silence, Dracus stomped his foot on the ground. Suddenly, he felt a squishing sound under his foot. Looking down, Dracus saw he stepped on an eyeball that had a fork stuck up it.

As screams of terror erupted from the crowd, Sir Titus looked at the eyeball. Then, he looked at the body. Then the eyeball again.

"Good grief," said Titus, "That marketkeeper must've gouged Karzon's eye out. Must've been a fight! Good for the marketkeeper!"

As cries of distress ran throught the crowd, Dracus threw Rascus against a wall and stormed away.

It had been chaos.

When Dracus had thrown the sword at Adicus, the crowd had gone crazy. Their were screams of assasination and evil in the crowd.

Now, it was seven hours later, and Adicus still didn't know about Dracus's whereabouts.

Adicus was troubled with Dracus's behavior. But this? This? This was maddness! Dracus might have tried to kill him! As Adicus pondered these thoughts, a guard entered his castle.

"Sir Adicus," the guard said, "We've know where Dracus is. We got a report from Banteras that an Alendion attacked a knight named Rascus. Shall I send in a militia to...well... deal with him?"

Adicus almost yelled out in surprise. "Deal with him?" Adicus asked. "No. Dracus may have problems. He may have... and may being the key word... tried to kill me. But no one deserves death."

Adicus got up and started briskly walking toward the exit of the castle, the guard trying to keep up. "Then what should I do?" asked the guard.

"You?" asked Adicus, "Nothing. You will do absolutley nothing. I will go to Banteras, and talk to him."

As Adicus left the castle, the guard could not shake the feeling that things were going to take a turn so dark, even he may cower in fright.
