Title: Tamba Hali, Which Round?
Description: Which Round Will Hali go

The question says it all, which round will Hali go in tommorow?

Im leaning towards the early to mid 3rd round, I know some people like Mel Kiper like Hali in the late 1st but from his poor workouts I dont see him as even a 2nd rounder. He never really impressed me with his play and his workouts kind of buried him in my book. What do you guys think about the Penn State star DE?

He is a complete stud and won't make it out of round two. he isn't a workout warrior but he is a guy that can just dominate games. he gets it's done on the field. Just look at what kind of year he had in the Big 10: 17 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks.

he went up against right tackles the entire season. rarely facing top flight right tackles to boot. he's a motor guy, who isn't all that strong, and isn't all that athletic. he got by on that athleticism to a point in college. he's not a stud, he's a solid to good player. hes a early-mid 2nd rounder at best.

He's a sure second rounder.

I cannot believe the Chiefs took him at #20, completely unbelievable. I know hes a great guy and all but they reached a long ways to get him.

They reached a little, yes, but 10-15 picks here and there isn't that bad. Before the combine most thought he was a mid first rounder. At least they didn't draft DE Frostee Rucker in the 3rd round. I had him (Rucker) as a 6-7th rounder, or QB Tavaris Jackson in the 2nd, who I had was an undrafted free agent.

there where some bad drafts today......... heres to tomorrow, theres still alot of talent on the board for the taking.

Actually, we won't know who had good or bad drafts for a while. I realize it's next to impossible to keep that in mind on the day of though.

can you honestly tell me that the Cowboys didnt just have a bad day 1? Just from looking at it they didnt address the areas of biggest need nor did they go for the best player available in any of their picks.

1. Bobby Carpenter- While he is a solid versatile LB hes just an above average LB.

2. Fasano- If they wanted a TE why didnt they nab the better ones available? Pope and Klopfenstein where still on the board. Pope being a better receiver and Klopfenstein being a better blocker. Want to know why they took him because Parcells thinks he sees a little Bavarro in him, thats why. You cant tell me hes better than either Pope or Klopfenstein.

3. Jason Hatcher- Another 3-4 DE, hope he even makes the team. Ko Simpson and Max Jean-Gilles where still available.

Heres to tomorrow, hopefully they can turn it around with good picks. If they manage to get Simpson or Gilles they would be the second best player they drafted all in all.

They (Cowboys) didn't have a good day one, but the draft is only half over, in fact you could make a case to say the draft is made or lost on day two anyway. Dallas probably got two starters, Carpenter is far more than just an above average linebacker, if he wouldn't have injured his ankle he probably would have carried a mid first round grade. Klopenstien was already long gone and Pope isn't a very good blocker.

Hey isn't this a Tamba Hali thread? I think the Chiefs sent a message by saying that production on the field during the season carries more weigh than computer numbers.
