1. Houston Texans-Mario Williams-The Texans signed Williams to a contract so this pick is a done deal. But I’d take Reggie Bush.
2. New Orleans Saints-Reggie Bush-The Saints stay at #2 and select Bush, which is somewhat shocking, since they were expected to trade the pick.
3. Tennessee Titans-Vince Young-I like Leinart here, but supposedly Young is the favorite within management, while the coaches prefer Young.
4. New York Jets-D’Brickashaw Ferguson-The Jets left side of the line is solidified for the next decade. Great pick, and now the Jets might actually be able to protect Pennington
5. Green Bay Packers- AJ Hawk-Another great pick, Hawk fits the Packers scheme and is a superb player.
6. San Francisco 49’ers-Vernon Davis-Future Pro Bowl tight end, and target for Alex Smith.
7. Oakland Raiders-Jay Cutler-Cutler’s strong arm fits the Raiders vertical passing system better than Leinart.
8. Buffalo Bills-Brodrick Bunkley-The Bills get their man in Bunkley, who is an absolute beast. He is going to be a very good player along the Bills defensive line.
9. Detroit Lions-Michael Huff-Can he play receiver? Seriously, this is a great pick for the Lions and they finally go defense.
10. Arizona Cardinals-Matt Leinart-Leinart is picked up after a slide. Finally, the Cards have a Franchise Quarterback to go along with their excellent receivers.
11. St. Louis Rams-Ernie Sims-Sims is slightly overrated, but the Rams need some outside linerbackers, and Sims provides it.
12. Cleveland Browns-Haloti Ngata-Fits the 3-4 system, great pick for the defense of the Browns. Perfect 3-4 Nose Tackle.
13. Baltimore Ravens-Winston Justice-The Ravens fill a need with Justice, who is the second best tackle in the draft behind Ferguson.
14. Philadelphia Eagles-Chad Greenway-The second best linebacker in the draft is chosen at 14. I really like Greenway, and the Eagles get him at 14. Perfect for their system.
15. Denver Broncos-Santanio Homes-Should take over for Rod Smith in a few years, good pick and fills a need. He can contribute immediately.
16. Miami Dolphins-Tye Hill-Hill’s speed and cover skills are too good for the Dolphins to pass up here.
17. Minnesota Vikings-DeMeco Ryans-Picked a little earlier than expected, but he fills a need for the Vikings.
18. Dallas Cowboys-Manny Lawson-The Cowboys pounce on this beast. Great for the 3-4 defense.
19. San Diego Chargers-Jimmy Williams-Underrated player, he’s going to be a very good player. He’d provide the Chargers with the secondary help that they need.
20. Kansas City Chiefs-Kamerion Wimbley-The Chiefs pass on Chad Jackson and get some defensive help in Wimbley.
21. New England Patriots-Jonathan Joseph-The Patriots need some secondary help and they get it in Joseph. Cromartie has a lot more potential, but the Patriots go for the quick contributor in Joseph
22. San Francisco 49’ers-Chad Jackson-Another pick for Alex Smith. The 49’ers have a lack of wide receivers, and they get a good one in Jackson.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Tamba Hali-This is somewhat surprising, but it’s the draft, so of course it’s surprising. Hali is a beast, and he’s going to be a good player for the Bucs.
24. Cincinnati Bengals-Donte Whitner-The Bengals need a safety and Whitner provides it.
25. New York Giants-Antonio Cromartie-And I can’t stand up for the next three hours due to the massive erection of the thought of having Cromartie on the team.
26. Chicago Bears- Leonard Pope-The Bears fill their tight end need with the Pope.
27. Carolina Panthers-DeAngelo Williams-What a steal. The Panthers get a future star in Williams at 27.
28. Jacksonvile Jaguars-Bobby Carpenter-His passion for the game is why the Jaguars pick him here. He’s going to be a good player.
29. New York Jets-Mathias Kiwanuka-Provides the pass rush missing from the trade of Abraham.
30. Indianapolis Colts-Laurence Maroney-Edge’s replacement, obviously won’t do as good of a job.
31. Seattle Seahawks-Jason Allen-Fills the Hawks safety and corner needs with his versatility.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers-Sincorice Moss-The Steelers get a fast receiver to fills Randle El’s spot.
Just for the record, I do expect the Jets to trade up for Bush.
