Baltimore Ravens- C+
Haloti Ngata DT Oregon- B
Big Mouth Ray said he wanted a huge DT. Well they got him one. Haloti Ngata might be the next Ted Washington, but doesn't have the motor of a Sam Adams or Pat Williams. Risk or Reward pick.
Chris Chester OC Oklahoma- D+
Can you say reach. He looks great in shorts and in a weight room. But unless you are Mel Kiper and only look at 40 times horrid pick. He was an average college center with tremendous upside. A late 3rd or early fourth would of been a better spot for him to go.
David Pittman CB Northwestern St.- C
Three boom or bust picks. I guess if you do it every pick you are bound to hit on one.
Demetrius Williams WR Oregon- B+
Great value and great talent. Should of went around before, they need another young receiver.
Prince (PJ) Daniels Jr RB Georgia Tech- C+
Nice fit for their running game. Not flashy, but gets the job done.
Dawan Landry S Georgia Tech- C
Huge need for this team and they fill it with the second of their two 5th round picks. Hmmm. And they need FS not SS.
Quinn Sypniewski TE Colorado- D
Yeah, pick a TE that couldn't even start in College.
Sam Koch P Nebraska- B
Needed a punter and got a good one.
Derrick Martin CB Wyoming- B
Hmmm, look where most project players fall. Finally good value for their risky pick.
Ryan Lacasse DE Syracuse- B
Good value, high energy guy. Worst comes to worst will be a special teams stud.
Cincinnati Bengals- C
Johnathan Joseph CB South Carolina- B
Good solid pick. Needed defensive help and a good young CB for them. I personally though Joseph was a workout warrior and should of went early second.
Andrew Whitworth OT LSU- B
Nitty Gritty OT. Willie Anderson is getting older and contract is coming up.
Frostee Rucker DE USC- D-
Could of got him late second day. Seemed to benefit from surrounding cast. Marginal upside, lazy player, lacks a good motor.
Domata Peko DT Michigan St.- D
Again, bad value.
A.J. Nicholson OLB FSU- B
Good value, bad character. Perfect Marvib Lewis LB.
Reggie McNeal ?? Texas A&M- C
If you can get him to change positions and he ends up having some good hands. Good pick. But after his QB's like Peyton manning are a dying bread comment I thinks he's too dumb to understand he isn't going to be an NFL QB. Sorry Cory Chavous suck on someone elses jock for awhile.
Ethan Kilmer WR PSU- C
Good special teams guy, has speed, decent hands.
Bennie Brazell WR LSU- D
How many receivers can you play at one time?
Cleveland Browns- B
Kamerion Wimbley OLB FSU- B
Going with the theme of FSU tweeners and Cleveland Browns 1st round picks, this is likely a bust.
D'Qwell Jackson LB Maryland- B+
Heck of a football player, I say he'll likely be better than Wimbley.
Travis Wilson WR Oklahoma- D
Bad value.
Leon Williams LB Miami- D
Too bad 40 times don't make football players.
Isaac Sowells OL Indiana- C+
Likely interior line with being under 6-4. BUt experienced linemen.
Jerome Harrison RB Washington St.- B
Great value and great football player. Immediately becomes the 3rd down back and maybe can give you some regular playing time. Like his upside and skills.
DeMario Minter CB Georgia- B
Good value and a good player. Has some upside, decent athlete.
Lawrence Vickers FB Colorado- B
Tough FB, gotta love it.
Babatunde Oshinowo DT Stanford- B
Great value, perfect 3-4 NT. Ted Washington gives this kid a fews years to learn, but I say he gets playing time from day one.
Justin Hamilton S VT- C
Great athlete with some upside.
Pittsburgh Steelers- B+
Santonio Holmes WR Ohio St.- B
Would be a B+ but he cost a 1st and 3rd. Happy they made the trade though got the best receiver and most ready to play receiver in the draft. Should compliment Ward nicely and stretch the field. Thought they were going for Mangold during the trade to get ahead of the Jets, nope wanted to get ahead of the Bears for Holmes.
Anthony Smith FS Syracuse- B+
Tough hard nosed Steeler type football player. Might not have a 4.3 forty but gets the job done and is always around the ball. Great motor.
Willie Reid RS FSU- C
The Steelers had three big needs to fill on day one. WR, FS, and a return man to replace El. They got all three. I think Willie Reid would of been around in the 4th or 5th round so I had to give this a C.
Willie Colon OL Hofstra- B
Tough nasty linemen. Exactly what the Steelers want from their line. Never stops, great motor, and has a mean streak.
Orien Harris DL Miami- B
Great value, fills a need in the d-line with Kimo leaving.
Omar Jacobs QB Bowling Green- B+
Everyone had him as a first day pick, most the 4th or 5th QB. A team full of MAC QB's... gotta love it.
Charles Davis TE Purdue- B
A TE that played basketball. He knows how to use his 6-6 frame and has great hands. Should be a nice combo in the redzone with Miller.
Marvin Philip OC Cal- C+
Only guy in the draft that the Steelers will likely cut. He'd have to beat out Okobi for the back-up center role and doubt he can do that. But ncie value and will hopefully get on our PS.
Cedric Humes RB VT- B+
Great value, and the team need a bruiser. If he shows he can get the tough yards between the tackles not only will he make the team he'll see playing time.
