So...anyone else worried about this season?

Has anyone heard how close they are in getting a deal done for Aaron Kampman?

I wanna say I read something or heard something or smelled something that said they were close and that maybe by next week. I believe its a 5 year deal...although I might have dreamt all that. I hope they get something done. He really stepped up last year. I think he was 2nd in tackles among all DE's. If we can get a STUD DE in the draft and a couple of our young DT's continue to progress we should be set on the D-line.

Precisely.
FYI ESPN Insider says that the Packers and Kampman are "far apart" on a contract extension. I don't have Insider so I'm not sure what the whole article says but that doesn't sound good.

"It's clear, though, that Vick, who will turn 22 next month, has made his own bed. How are teams, such as the Eagles and Packers, both of whom had spoken to Vick prior to his meeting with the media, supposed to believe he won't make the same mistakes again?"
I
HOPE this was one of those "passed him in the hall and said hello" kinda talks.

Flanagan just signed with the Texans. Three-year, $9 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $3 million. No doubt having Mike Sherman there helped. Flanny and Sherman have been together since Sherman was an assistant at UCLA. The Texans o-line is looking alot better. Ours...considerably worse. And one of the guys I would have liked to bring in, OG Stephen Neal, just re-upped with the Patriots.
