What does everybody think about Edge coming to visit the Cards this Saturday? It was reported that he and Drew Rosenhaus will be in town? Not a Cardianls fan, just live out in AZ.

It'd certainly be exciting for Cardinals fans I suppose, but I just don't like the move for them if they sign him. I am one of those who believe it's really not wise to spend too much $$ on that position. Granted, he does provide a threat in the passing game as well, and as poorly as the line blocked last season, they would probably need that aspect of his game. I just don't know that they should give up so soon on Arrington. Is James a better back? Sure, but he wouldn't have done anything on the ground last season with the way their line played. An overly expensive RB is just a luxury most teams shouldn't even want to afford in my opinion.

Well, the news is over a day old, but this actually went through. I really didn't anticipate it happening, perhaps as much as anything because well, it's the Cardinals. This should breathe some excitement into the fan base out there I'm sure, and that's a good thing. But I'll reiterate what I said previously, I just don't like having that much money invested at the RB position. And they need to get someone to block for the guy to boot.

The Cardinals have plenty of money left after signing James. When you have 30+ mil in cap space you can sign guys like James. What they need to do is open that wallet again and sign either Tye Law or Charles Woodson and a LB like Danny Clark that the raiders cut loose. They should also try and sign an offensive lineman like LT Jason Fabini which would allow Leonard Davis to move back to LG where he is more effective. If the Cardinals only used their cap space they could become a contender in the weak NFC West.
