Title: Suns / Jazz

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Jazz receive:
SG:Kevin Martin
PG:Leandro Barbosa
Andrei Kirilenko(Cutback to Suns)
Raja Bell(cutback)
09 1st(Suns)

Suns Receive:
PF:Shawn Marion
SG:Jason Terry

I accept because even though it hurts to lose a up and coming star in Kmart and a great off the bench guy who could easily start anywhere else i love marions versitility.

bballer13333 - December 19, 2007 04:47 AM (GMT)
Accepted.

Kevin Martin is a guy I can pair up with Gilbert and have a great future at the guard position. Barbosa can also fill in if needed for when Jason Richardson is lost to free agency. Marion is an awesome player, but I couldnt pass this deal that helps my present and future.

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 04:59 AM (GMT)
Approve. Major deal. But a good deal for both sides.

mastergameaok - December 19, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
Veto, if the deal was without the cutbacks I would approve it (even though I think Jazz won it between the 4 players). This is ridiculous, over $100 million worth of cutbacks of the 4-5 years. Re-work it please.

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 05:23 AM (GMT)
You cant veto because of cutbacks.they are allowed.so your basically vetoing something that is fair and allowed

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
But broken up, that's only a few cutbacks a year, and, besides, think about it, FA doesn't actually matter much if people extend, so what's the point of cap room? Neither of them would have it, anyways.

mastergameaok - December 19, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
I'm saying the trade is unfair. The cutback reprecussions that will affect the Jazz for years to come. They'll never be able to get Free Agents, and will be extremely tough to re-sign. It is an unfair deal, and that is why i veto, and I can veto whatever trade I deem is unfair.

You know, Diaw doesn't have to be cutback. Only Kirllenko and Bell do.

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 05:27 AM (GMT)
You gotta look at the cutbacks by year, not by total. It skews it if you say 75 million dollars total. That really is only 20 million a year.

Josh Cribbs' Owns - December 19, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
only?

Thats like having Stephon Marbury for 5 years without him doing anything. Correction, without him stepping on the court.

mastergameaok - December 19, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
They'll have a worse situation than the knicks do. They'll hit the luxury tax, and hard cap every year for the next 4 years, and they can't trade the cut salaries. Then hitting the cap means they lose their picks, which means NO FAs NO DRAFT PICKS.

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
it is allowed.the trade is marion and terry for martin and barbosa.

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 05:35 AM (GMT)
I changed diaw to bell

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 05:40 AM (GMT)
How about
Marion
Terry
for
Barbosa
Martin
Ak cutback
Bell(he keeps)
09 1st suns

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 05:44 AM (GMT)
By the way, the Spurs and Clippers had 13 million in cutbacks, and THAT was allowed.

I could live with that.

Josh Cribbs' Owns - December 19, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
20 mill > 13 mill.

jeremy23 - December 19, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
its only 13.but good try

Josh Cribbs' Owns - December 19, 2007 05:49 AM (GMT)
I was just showing by what others were saying on the first trade, which was around 20 mill cut backs that it is much more then 13,...

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 05:54 AM (GMT)
The Jazz have an Idea to ffix it, I'm going to lock it until I see what the idea is. You're going to have to have a new trade topic anyways.

Josh Cribbs' Owns - December 19, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
Locking does nothing to stop me >=)

chipperboy1 - December 19, 2007 06:04 AM (GMT)
Wow, you're right...
